A Beautiful Journey Towards Motherhood
When all the wonders of the universe come together to bless you, it is then you hear the first cry of your own creation. It is the only time you feel happy to hear your child crying; when you become a mother.
It was the holy month for Hindus, celebrating different festivals. People all around were praying, chanting, singing and it seemed like all the blessings were upon my womb.
It is so mystic when I sit back and see my USG reports now, how beautifully carved and created my baby was – from one small cell to a grown-up body. This is the beauty of the entire process of giving birth and passing on the DNA to the next generation.
Every day I woke up in those 8 months, it was like I was getting a new life for myself because of the worries creeping inside my mind day in and day out. The fear of a past incident of losing a 36-week-old foetus had had a bad heart-wrenching effect on my soul.
Even after the worst situation of losing my first baby, I always felt that her soul is present inside me. When I conceived for the second time, I felt that nature has designed this process so beautifully, treating mothers as the agents who build the bridge to connect a body with the soul. We are not the owner of the child but a path-provider to them. Our conviction determines their future. The time before my second pregnancy was the time I was most fruitful, hardworking, determined, and enthusiastic and I possessed a spirit of not giving up on anything.
Be determined and assured that whatever happens in life, being it a good or bad incidence, it will always teach us a lesson. Out of my own experience, I think fear makes us ignorant but when we work on that and never give a chance for happiness to fade away from us, it can never harm us. I was so determined that I was sure I would be able to give birth to a healthy child again.
Despite the many challenges that came my way, I kept high hopes and believed in a life force to activate positive energies, which in turn gave me a fruitful outcome. Now, when I look back, I love my adventurous journey – from being an outgoing, immature, party-hopping, shopaholic girl to becoming a responsible mom.
I educated myself enough for my second pregnancy. I had enough research for every good and flaw concerning a delivery. In those 8 months (as my angel was born at 34 weeks), I never took any chances of being negligent during pregnancy, be it regarding proper diagnosis, food, health, travelling, work or anything concerned. It is advisable to be alert during every step when you carry life within yourself, irrespective of unpredictable fate.
A minor mistake during pregnancy will not give you the chance to bounce back immediately and that's why there is no scope to miss any opportunity to take care of yourself. A few precautions that helped me out were:
Following healthy food habits.
Not experimenting with many different fruits, veggies or packaged food.
Saying no to junk food.
Monitoring sugar levels weekly, and in later months, every alternate day.
Noticing the movements of a baby is most crucial.
Proper focus on thyroid and taking medicine regularly if required.
Drinking enough water daily.
Since I had an inclination towards the higher side of diabetes, it is always advisable for me to keep my weight in control with healthy habits.
Checking of sugar and blood pressure levels is optional but I think it gives you inner satisfaction and relief when you are worried about such things. It also plays a major role in collapsing a foetus silently.
The challenges started from the fifth month when my water levels started dropping below the safe line. Every night passed like a year and I kept on praying to have a safe delivery. This continued for almost 6 weeks and I was kept under observation in the hospital for a few more weeks, to maintain the baby's normal weight. Finally, in the 34th week, the doctor decided to operate as it was our choice to have a caesarean delivery.
On 27th October 2018, I got a new life through this journey of motherhood. The first cry of a child takes away all the pain in just a second. She is a jewel and a blessing to us.
Motherhood is quite a tough job. In spite of hardships and stress at every step, we do, however, enjoy and cherish each moment. Not to give up is a win in itself!

Taking Care of a Baby Is a Challenging Task, It's Complicated but Interesting
He is my first baby, so it seems very challenging to me. He is very sharp and naughty which is totally unexpected at this age as he is 6 months old now. All I can say it's a nice experience As time goes on his habits are changing. He is becoming more naughty. He starts playing when ever he wants, what ever the time it may be. If I scold him, he laughs. He plays at night hours. When I have work, he wakes up as early as possible. Its winter time but he doesn't want to wear a cap and warm clothes?. As he is 6months old now, it's a starting point for solid food, but he does not eat that food easily and cries a lot and plays pranks and sometimes blows all the food on my face?. He wants a new toy after every 10mins. After every 10mins he throws the toy even if it is very new for him. And even when daipering he won't get clam either he will turn or start playing and cycling with his legs. He gets bored with in a little span of time. He wants someone to carry him and show new place and new things. He gets cold very quickly, and I need to take care of him very much. I don't know why babies get very attached with their fathers as the entire day they are with mothers, and we are the ones who fulfil their basic needs like loving, caring, feeding, and moms do the playing and at last in the evening when the father comes back they change parties?. However, the baby is the love of a mother and for her baby is endless. That's called mother's love and I love my son so much??. I can say that nothing is easy neither giving birth nor baby caring. Giving birth to a baby itself is a very big blessing from God as everyone won't get such opportunities. Its a suggestion from my side to every mom, please take of your babies as a blessing, not a burden.

Make a checklist of items that he could collect. Example: grass, rocks, twigs, feathers, leaves, sand, pinecones, ants, etc. This encourages your child to explore, find answers and come up with his own ideas. It might also help him be creative and come up with writing ideas.
For more fun take a bug box and encourage your child to watch bugs, however, take care to see that your child gently handles the bug and causes it no harm. Encourage him to discuss his observations.
Pack two sets of binoculars and watch various birds in the park. Show your child how different they are in their colors, sizes, shape of wings, etc. Tell him the names of birds if you know.
Finally, sit with your child and document your thoughts along with his. This might give you some ideas for your next park visit.
Playground Fun
Playground is where your child would be in his elements. The sand, water, air and all the play equipment such as swings, slide would help him understand the concepts of speed, momentum, light and shadows and assimilate them in an interesting, fun way. Here is what you can do:
Let him feel his heartbeat before play. Tell him to feel it after a round of running. Explain to him the difference.
On a windy day, ask your child to hold both wet sand and dry sand in both his palms. Ask him to release it. Tell him why the wet sand would remain in his palm and only the dry sand would blow.
Tell your child to walk on both wet and dry sand, ask him where the footprints are more visible.
On a bright sunny day, encourage your child to observe the shadows of various trees, play equipment and tell him to find out his own shadow.
Playgrounds, thus, not only provide great spaces for playing, but also for knowing how things work.
Social Studies
Social studies are not always about studying big, fat textbooks in high school. It can begin in preschool itself. Help your child gain more insights about himself, his family and friends in an enjoyable way.
Give your child a scrap-book and tell him to make a collage of all his favourite things or the things he loves. This could be anything from his favourite toys to his favourite books. Tell him to accompany it with a self-portrait.
Tell him to make a little booklet of his feelings like “I feel happy when _____” or “I feel angry when _________”.
Show him an album of his extended family and help him identify his grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc.

keep the child well covered.
