12 Best Overnight Face Masks for Beautiful Skin
We all want glowing skin, but not all of us are blessed with it. Stress and pollution not only affects our health but also our facial skin. No wonder a beautiful skin seems like a distant dream. But all is not lost, not yet ladies. By spending a little time and effort, you can have glowing skin. A healthy diet and a good skincare routine can work wonders for you.
If you are someone who does not want to spend too much money on cosmetics, here are some overnight face masks recipes that you can try for beautiful skin.
What Is an Overnight Face Mask?
An overnight face mask is simply a mask that is applied before going to bed. You leave it on your face overnight and wash your face the next morning. Unlike other types of masks which need to be taken off after an hour or less. The main function of these masks is to hydrate and heal the skin while you are asleep.
Benefits of Overnight Face Mask
Our bodies have a tendency to heal better while we are asleep, and our skin also heals and repairs itself when we are asleep. This is why it is recommended that you use products that target any problem areas at night, as it will have time to penetrate deep into the skin. Sleep masks are used for this purpose only. They are also able to lock in any other products, such as serums, in the skin and have a much lighter consistency than night creams, meaning that they will not leave any oil stains on your pillow.
Face Masks That You Can Try
Although there are many overnight masks available in the market, they usually contain chemicals and preservatives. The fragrances may also irritate you, especially if you have sensitive skin. Hence, you should try making overnight face masks at home. If you are not sure how to whip up natural overnight face masks, we have some great recipes for you to try.

Your 16 Months Old Baby Growth and Development
You have probably become busier with your toddler running around and exploring his surroundings which keeps you on your toes all the time. Let us take you through this wonderful journey and prepare you for what to expect from your 16-month-old baby.
16-month-old Toddler Development
Watching your baby transform into a toddler is an extremely captivating process. Let us look at some of the 16-month-old baby milestones that your toddler may start achieving or has already achieved.
1. Physical Development
Now that your baby is in the 16-month bracket, your doctor will only check his development every 2 months. You will notice that your baby’s development is not as rapid as it was in his first year. The weight of each toddler varies individually. Ideally, your 16-month-old baby weight should be anything between 8.5 kg – 12.9 kg.
You will notice that he likes to challenge his physical limits. He knows he can walk confidently, and so, he wants to carry a load like a block box while he is busy making it. He may also try pushing a chair inside the kitchen, and try to get up on it to explore the countertop. Try cooking on the back burners and keep the handles of the pans inward. A kitchen is a dangerous place, so it is advisable to keep a watchful eye on your 16-month-old at all times.
At this time, your toddler’s fine-motor skill learning is at its best. He will try to put his fine motor skills to use into everything. With his tiny fingers, he would try to open up and explore drawers and cabinets to see how they open, and what is stored in them for him to explore. If you have not already child-proofed your house, now is the time you should consider doing it. Install drawer and cabinet lockers. Remember to keep all harmful chemicals and medicine away from your child’s reach.
Babies are more adept at using their hands and little fingers at 16 months. Give them a box of crayons and a piece of paper and see them at their creative best. They tend to make everything around them a canvas, so in case your walls are witness to your toddler’s creativity, make sure your toddler uses crayons that are not permanent in nature, and whose marks can be washed away.
2. Social and Emotional Development
Your toddler will try to see you as an extension of himself. He will rely more on you to get him things that he wants but cannot get. He may want that toy kept high on the cupboard, and since he is physically unable to get it, he may tug at you to bring it down for him. Avoid helping him much, and soon you will see that he will find ways to succeed by himself. Allow him to cry and get his frustration out because that is how he will learn.
At 16 months, your toddler will try to understand whether he is getting praised for his good behaviour and reprimanded for his bad behaviour. He will also understand what behaviours are wrong for you but bring a smile on his older brother or sister’s face. He may play along with that in the future to get a reaction out of you. It can be as silly as banging a toy on the coffee table or pulling the tail of your pet.
A 16-month-old considers himself to be independent and enjoys taking control of situations. You can play along with him in his play kitchen and ask him to cook a delicious meal for you. That way, he will be encouraged to discover and feel a sense of pride and joy in himself.
3. Cognitive and Language Development
Children become independent on their own, and we just need to assist them. You will learn this soon with your 16-month-old toddler. Once he starts talking, he will soon realise that he can be his own person. He will probably be able to speak only a few words and rely mostly on non-verbal communication, but he will certainly understand more than he can communicate.
As your toddler starts speaking his first words, he will find it challenging to coordinate his lips, tongue and breath all at once to make himself understandable, Try talking slowly to him and in short sentences so that he can understand and comprehend.
Behaviour
At 16 months, your toddler may show some signs of challenges which could also include pushing his boundary behaviours. He might throw tantrums or show signs of separation anxiety. Some might display weird behaviours. Temper tantrums can happen to even the best-behaved child. It is usually at its peak when the child is 2 years old. Children love to have their way, and challenges can easily upset them. Tantrums are easy to handle if you know the triggers.
Most children have a meltdown at the toy aisle in the supermarket. Avoiding that can help your toddler avoid temper tantrums. Look out for signs of hunger and sleepiness in your little one. Often, these are the hidden reasons for a power struggle. Giving them a time-out to help calm down goes a long way in managing their temper tantrums and helps them control their emotions in a better way.
Food and Nutrition
You will find your 16-month-old incline towards a diet similar to that of your own. Usually, food preferences get set early in their life, so it is very important to guide them to develop a taste and preference for healthy food. Toddlers have tiny tummies. So frequent meals are better than 3 or 4 major meals a day. Make sure you include food items that give him the daily dose of nutrients required for growth and avoid sweets, sugary food, and empty calories. You will find your little explorer trying to self-feed using his hands and other utensils. Give him space to practice these skills, but lend a helping hand when he tends to get frustrated. As he gradually develops the skills, take a step back and watch him enjoy his new found independence. Patience is the key to help your child make a healthy choice.
When you sit as a family at the dining table, give your child some independence in choosing his food. Expose him to food options and let him make his own choice. He might like the new food or may not touch it at all. It takes almost 20 – 30 introductions to new foods for a child to develop a liking for it. Always introduce only one new food at a time. It will help you to know if your toddler is allergic to something or not. It is best to avoid foods that pose a choking hazard like popcorn, grapes, hard candy, nuts and raisins. Always supervise your child at meal times.
Sleeping
You will find out soon that your toddler requires a lesser amount of sleep during the day. He may give up on his morning and afternoon naps and settle for a mid-day nap only. At first, the nap times in the mid-day may be a little longer as he gradually adjusts to his new routine. Try to avoid putting him to bed late in the afternoons as that will make it difficult for him to fall asleep at night. Kids prefer to have the same routine every day, so try putting him to bed at the same time consistently. Encourage him to use his cot to sleep rather than lying down on the sofa. With so many things to explore, your toddler will surely become tired, but still, he might refuse to go to bed as he will be full of energy and enthusiasm. You need to be firm so that he gets to complete his sleep before he sets off for another adventure. It would be wise to keep some books and toys in his room to keep him company and allow him to fall asleep comfortably.
Play and Activities
Sometimes, it just takes us to take a step back and let our kids discover themselves fuelling their growth. Your toddler will be ever charged up to experiment and try his hands at new ideas. Allow him the space to do that you will actually help him entertain himself, and explore his creative streak. While he plays, he will learn to solve problems and also motor play. At this age, your 16-month-old will like to do his things independently. Help him in his way to learn things. You can probably keep his socks in a drawer that he can access or probably place his shoes in a plastic organiser near the front door for him to access and wear them on his own when he is going out.
You can plan age-appropriate activities for him, like carrying his own plate and putting it in the sink. Do not expect perfection and be affectionate towards him if he falters. That way you will allow him more space to explore his surroundings and be independent. Read a book to your toddler. Reading aids in promoting listening skills; it also increases language development and assists in developing attention span and memory. When you read a book to your toddler, you are increasing your bonding time with him, and also helping him instil a love of reading.
Tips for Parents
Your toddler is probably eager to explore his space. You may find him in a constant and steady state of motion. Here are some tips that can help you manage your 16-month-old better:
Never let him wander off your sight at any time. Toddlers do not have a sense of understanding about what might hurt them and what is harmful to them.
Colds and stomach problems are very common in toddlers. Maintain proper hygiene of washing his hands before he eats. That way a lot of infections can be avoided.
Maintain good dental hygiene. Brush their teeth twice a day.
Let them use the crib even though they seem to be ready for the bed. It will keep the more active ones away from harm’s way.
Child-proof your house.
Consult a Doctor If
Every child is unique, and not all of them will achieve their milestones at the same time. You should consult a doctor when you feel that your baby is falling short of achieving his milestones by a few months.
It is not easy being a parent to a 16-month-old toddler who keeps you running around him. But in the end, it is well worth it.

15 Genius Breastfeeding Tips to Make it Easier for New Indian Moms
Breastfeeding brings along with it all sorts of learning. From understanding the bond you have with your baby to teaching him to latch on and figuring out a nursing routine, you will be educating yourself as you go. At a time like this, it helps to have all the support you can get to make your life easier. And guess what, the modern Indian mom is fortunate enough to live in a world that actually has practical solutions for all her breastfeeding challenges!
As your newborn baby is given in your arms for the first time, your joy knows no bounds. There is nothing that can make you happier than holding those tiny fingers that you have nurtured for so long in your womb. However, that joy is short-lived if your baby is refusing to be breastfed or if the production of breastmilk seems low.
But don't stress yourself out. Post-delivery, many women face problems while breastfeeding and it's a very common concern. The good news is that there are always solutions to problems - so if you are having trouble breastfeeding, here are some nursing tips for new moms and some useful items that could make your nursing journey comfortable and easier.
15 Tips and Tricks for Breastfeeding
If you are having trouble breastfeeding your baby, here is some useful breastfeeding advice that you should follow
1. Use a Nursing Bra
A nursing bra is a life-saver for mothers who need to breastfeed on-the-go. The simple flap mechanism allows easy access for your baby. Make sure your nursing bra is soft and flexible so that it can expand when there is surplus milk coming in. Most nursing bras have sturdy shoulder straps to aid full support and are also broad with deep necks. Switch your regular bra a nursing bra to instantly make nursing easier.
2. Breastfeed after Birth
A good trick to get your baby used to feeding is to feed him after few hours of birth. Skin-to-skin contact right after birth is the first step to bonding with your child, and initiating breastfeeding after birth is good as your brain gets the signal to start producing the breastmilk. In the beginning, a mother’s body produces a yellowish breast milk called colostrum which is super beneficial for newborns.
3. Let your Baby’s Mouth Open Wide
A baby shouldn’t latch on to just the nipple - this won’t fully empty the milk ducts around the nipple. For an effective supply of milk from the milk ducts, a baby’s mouth needs to be wide open.
4. Take Care of your Tender Nipples
Pregnancy can make your nipples sore and tender. And when you start breastfeeding it gets even worse as your baby suckles, making them even sorer. Your nipples may feel raw and painful. Ensure you take care of your nipples by applying breastmilk on to the aureola, or a safe and untreated oil such as coconut oil. This is vital as your baby needs to be fed in every few hours in the early stages. You can also use teabags as a warm compress.
5. Invest in a Breast Pump
If you do not want to deprive your little angel of breastmilk but have to stay away for work or other reasons, a breast pump is the best thing to own! Doctors suggest mothers start pumping from three to four weeks after delivery. Pumping also helps improve the flow of milk and keeps you all set to handle feedings even when you are away.
6. Take Control
If your baby is sucking only onto your nipple, try and get him to suckle deeper - this will enable your flow of milk to increase and activate your milk ducts. Breastfeeding the right way is important. While breastfeeding a baby should latch onto your breast and not just your nipple - this will also reduce the pain you may feel.
7. Roll your Nipples
To increase the supply of milk and make it easy for your baby, try rolling your nipples between your fingers or you can even practise pulling the nipple out.
8. Stay Hydrated
During the nursing stage, you should know that whatever you eat or drink is going to contribute to producing breastmilk. So, staying healthy is a must during this time. If you are dehydrated, you will feel tired and it will affect your breastmilk production. While nursing you may even feel thirsty, so drink enough water - in your nursing stage, you should drink more than just 8 glasses of water.
9. Treat Clogged Milk Ducts
When a milk duct is clogged the breastmilk does not move in your breast and it can make nursing an extremely painful experience. A clogged duct may appear as a lump in your breast. It will be painful but continuing nursing during this time can treat that clogged duct ensuring proper milk supply. Another remedy for treating clogged ducts is gently massaging the breast after each feeding.
10. Use Nutritional Supplements
Breastmilk is nature's way of giving your baby everything he needs for nourishment and strength. This is why you need to make sure you too are getting enough nourishment and are fully hydrated at all times. Did you know that your body must get adequate protein, calcium, and Vitamin D when you are lactating? Aside from regular food, experts recommend opting for supplements to reduce your and your baby’s risk of nutritional deficiency. Added bonus - your little one also gets extra immunity from illness!
11. Put Pressure your Areola
For babies, latching on to nipples become easier if the nipple is not flat or inverted. If a woman’s breasts are swollen and nipples have become flat, then you need to make them protrude. For this gently press your areola meanwhile pushing your breast into the chest.
12. Use Nipple Shields
With the amount of pumping, feeding, and leaking your breasts are going to be subject to, a nipple shield will be like your knight in soft, comfortable armour! They give your sore nipples relief from pain and add moisture to the cracked skin. The best part is your baby won't even feel the difference. A Godsend, right?
13. Breastmilk Storage Bags
Another great necessity especially when you are a working mom is the breast milk storage bag! There are designed to keep breastmilk fresh for over 24 hours so that your baby gets fresh milk on demand. These are convenient to carry around while travelling as well.
14. Nursing Pillow
For comfort and correct positioning of your baby during nursing, get home one of these soft and cuddly pillows. As your baby grows bigger and heavier, these pillows become even more handy. They support the baby during those long nursing sessions so that you can comfortably bond with your baby without developing a backache.
15. Be Patient and Practice
If your baby is not latching properly or if you are not producing enough breastmilk, then there is no need to get disheartened. Some women have good milk supply and their babies might be latching onto their nipples without any effort, but if the same is not the case with you, then just practise. Slowly, your baby and you will get used to it, till then just keep continuing.

KEY TAKEAWAY: To increase your breastmilk supply during nursing, do the following:
Milk supply is based on the demand and supply, so the more you feed your baby the more your milk supply will be.
You can also practice power pumping, it increases breastmilk supply. While pumping use a good quality pump.
Breastmilk production depends on your eating and drinking habits. You need around 400-500 calories extra each day, so include whole grains, fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy, and healthy fats in your diet. And drink at least 6-8 glasses of water every day.
If your milk supply is still not increasing, consult a lactation specialist. Sometimes, a baby does not latch properly and hence the breast is not emptied; a specialist will help you with your baby’s position.
If you think your baby’s needs are not met by breastmilk and you want to supplement with formula milk, first, consult a paediatrician.
Formula feeding is not a problem, but remember giving formula milk to your baby will only decrease milk supply in your body and your body will not be stimulated.
Breastfeeding is one of the most beautiful, albeit challenging times in a new mom’s life. This is the kind of bonding you will always cherish and remember long after your baby is all grown up. Just make sure you take good care of yourself, eat a balanced diet, get adequate rest, and stay positive. Any problems you are facing while breastfeeding can be solved, thanks to these amazing tips and thoughtful inventions!
If you know what else works to make the breastfeeding experience better share it with other new mommies, also if you swear by some other nursing products that really helped you during breastfeeding, do write in and tell us all about them. Read more

Your Preteen and Video Games – All you Didn't Realize!
The growing craze of video games is seeing many children falling prey to its ill effects. But gaming is fine as long as it isn't overdone, and this is where you step in. Find out how to reduce body ache and strain on the eyes due to video games.
Gone are the days when children's favourite pastime used to be playing with their friends outdoors in the sunshine. Nowadays, children are enamoured by video games. However, as stimulating and challenging as they are, they come with several downsides that, as a parent, you need to know.
The Truth About How Video Games Affect Your Child's Eyesight
Playing video games for long hours can rob your child of all the good things that physical play and the outdoors have to offer. It also causes concentration issues that can affect their performance in school.
1. Eye Strain
You need to stay focused on the screen if you want to win a particular game. The competitiveness of gaming means that players can’t help but strive to win, which can take anywhere from minutes to hours. This means a lot of screen time and strain on the eyes due to video games.
2. Computer Vision Syndrome
Children who spend long hours playing video games can also suffer from computer vision syndrome. Frequent headaches, itching and irritation of the eyes, blurred vision and dryness are a few symptoms. If your child complains about any of these, take him to an ophthalmologist immediately.
3. General Aches and Pains
Apart from vision problems, too much video gaming can cause pain in the shoulders and neck. Sitting hunched for minutes at a stretch with muscles bunched up leaves no room for relaxation.
Protecting Your Child When Gaming
1. Restrict Play Time
The only way to make sure that video games don’t ruin your child's eyesight is by restricting the time spent playing. Put down strict rules for duration, which shouldn’t exceed more than an hour a day. Use video games as a treat for finishing homework and chores.
2. Position Him Properly
The way your child sits while playing games is important. Position him about 8 to 10 feet away from the TV screen. Too close and his eyes will take a beating. If he’s playing on a computer, the monitor should be at eye level.
3. Let him Rest His Eyes Frequently
Eye specialists recommend that people who spend long hours staring at a TV or computer screen should rest their eyes every 20 to 30 minutes. This holds true for your child as well. Have him focus his eyes at far off objects for about 20 seconds at intervals.
4. Reduce Screen Glare
The glare from a TV or computer screen can be very straining to the eyes. Don’t dim the lights so low that the light from the screen becomes too bright. Properly illuminate the room so that your child doesn’t feel any discomfort when playing.
Let your child enjoy his childhood to the fullest. Aside from allowing some screen time, encourage him to step out of the house and play with friends. Video games and eye problems don’t need to go hand-in-hand, not when you monitor his lifestyle. It’s all about balance! Read more

5 Reasons Why You Are Always Tired At Work
It’s been a few hours that you stepped in your office and you’re already checking the time. Are yawning and endless breaks stopping you from completing your work? You need to add more zest in your work hours with some tips to get better at your existing job!
Routine tasks make you disciplined and help in accomplishing work on time. However, sometimes, following the same routine at work can trigger off your mind’s sleep mode. Changes are necessary to fight this boredom while you're at your work desk. You need to make each day different from the last one so you look forward to the next.
Tips to Get Better at Your Existing Job
1. Shuffle Your Tasks
Difficult tasks are best managed in the morning when your energy levels are at an all-time high. Remember, routines make you lazy and bored, and hamper your efficiency. Go ahead; break the nagging chain of daily tasks and say ‘hello’ to a new ‘work life’.
2. Swap Your Place
Change your location to increase productivity. The same cubicle, the same chair, the same people, give off a duh-feeling when you walk into your office. If you cannot do this, then consider making changes to your work environment. Get some nice desk decor. You won’t be disappointed!
3. Keep Negativity at Bay
Some people spread negativity. Learn to walk out from places and people that surround you with negativity. If you feel low and less motivated after reaching the office, then strive to speak to someone who is happy, content and successful. Both positivity and negativity are contagious; what you choose to get affected with will decide your productivity and success quotient.
4. Your Thoughts Matter A Lot
Change any defeating thoughts that you may be nurturing about your life at the workplace. You'll fail to taste the sweetness of success unless you taste the bitterness of hard work. If you feel morose about your work life, then you'll surely encounter more difficulties in it. Train your mind to think positive even during the darkest hours.
5. Change Your Eating Habits
You may think this tip is off-tangent, but the fact is that your eating habits may be messing up your productivity. If, soon after a meal, you feel your eyes blurring, then it could be some food items that are slowing you down! You might think that an extra cup of coffee will refresh you, but then again, too much of caffeine can actually put you off. Avoid junk food while at work. Exercise at least 4 days a week to deal with the stress of daily life —you'll emerge a winner.
Each individual is different and so are their reactions to change. Make the right change in your work routine to increase your productivity. Figure out what suits you best and have a great day at work! Read more

A. since the follicle size is 18 to 20 mm your ovulation may occur within 24 hours also so if you have intercourse with in that time it will be more effective to get conceived
your endometrial growth is not good enough for conception but still you can just try
