You tested positive on your pregnancy kit and were expecting all the pregnancy symptoms to start kicking in. Morning sickness, breast tenderness, fatigue, and nausea seemed to be on the way. 3. To Unclog a Blocked Nostril
Babies often suffer from a clogged nostril. When you breastfeed your baby, her tiny nostrils may get pressed or flattened (as she might be clinging to you). This may cause a temporary block in her nostrils which then gets unclogged by sneezing.
4. Due to the Presence of Irritants in the Air
The irritants like cigarette smoke, strong cologne or perfumes, dust particles, etc., present in the air can also make your baby sneeze. Babies also vomit milk; if your little one vomits milk, it can enter her nostril and cause irritation and sneezing. Since your little one can't snort or sniff to get rid of the impurities, she may eventually have to sneeze. In order to prevent this, you can keep your house ventilated. You can either install exhaust fans in your house or keep the windows open frequently for better air circulation.
5. Due to Fever or Illness
Sneezing in babies can also be a sign of a cold. The most common symptoms of cold include upper tract respiratory infections, sneezing, coughing, and nasal discharge. Due to an immature immune system, your baby may catch a cold from other members of the family, if they have a cold. So as a parent, you must ensure that anyone who takes the baby in their arms washes their hands properly and uses a sanitizer if needed before holding the baby. 6. Due to the Dryness in the Air

If she is breathing very fast or is panting for breath, it means she is finding it difficult to breathe. Consult a doctor soon.
Forceful chest movements and straining while breathing is also a sign of illness and difficulty in breathing. If your baby has difficulty breathing, take her to a doctor.
If your baby seems to eat less than she used to before and also feels less energetic then take her to a doctor and get a checkup done.
If your baby sleeps more than the usual 8-10 hours of a day and has low energy levels you must consult your doctor immediately.
Some other common signs which newborn babies experience include hiccups and rattling noises while sleeping and breathing, etc. Some babies even make funny noises while sleeping which can also be considered as baby snores. But remember there is no reason to panic till you witness some very serious signs of illness. Regular doctor visits and detailed discussion regarding the baby breathing patterns will put your mind at ease.

A visit to Bisleri's Mumbai plant and what I learnt about Bisleri water
Childhood is all about being outdoors - playing learning exploring and travelling. As a mom of two boys we spend a significant time outdoors, be it playing in the park all evening long or road tripping during weekends. In a city where the temperatures are high al through the year, it is important to keep sipping on water to stay cool and hydrated.
The easiest thing is to pop into corner store and buy that bottle of mineral water. As a country we have always relied on Bisleri. It has stood the test of time and is easily available in any part of the country. As a parent, though I am cautious. I had several concerns which needed to be address.
Is plastic bottle safe for storing water?
Is the water purer than the RO water we consume at home?
Are the bottles recyclable?
Is the mineral water suitable for infants?
This is why I jumped at the opportunity of visiting the Bisleri factory in Mumbai. It offered a chance to meet the team, get all queries answered and view their production facility.
Bisleri water goes through a 10 step purification process and 114 quality tests. This is not just any packaged drinking water. We started off with a tour of the factory to see how it is all done. It was a state of the art facility with only the most modern machines and stringent manual checks at every stage.
A slew of quality checks are carried out at the source water collection and only then is it deemed suitable for the purification process. A process called ozonisation which is way superior than chlorination is carried out to ensure that the water is free from harmful bacteria. Ozone is at least 50 times more powerful and 3000 times faster than chlorination to kill bacteria and other microbes.
I was rather surprised to find out that Bisleri mineral water actually goes through the RO process. While most of us swear by RO process to purify water, RO actually eliminates the essential minerals found in water that are good for health. To combat this Bisleri then adds the right amount of minerals to make the water healthy and give it a slightly sweeter taste.
Ozonisation is carried out a second time to improve the purity and shelf life of the water. Drinking this water increases the oxygen levels in our body.
As a final process, all packed bottles are appropriately labelled and adhere to stringent quality checks.
Our tour of the production facility concluded, we meet the team to get our doubts cleared. I consider myself a conscious citizen and do educate the need to consider our carbon footprint. Bisleri being packed in disposable plastic was a definitely concern for the impact that it can have on the environment. Two things I learnt were –
All Bisleri bottles are fully recyclable including the cap. The recycled plastic has a host of use. We saw a bench which was fully made up of recycled plastic.
Being made of virgin cuperior quality plastic, the bottles are not use and thrown. You could easily use them for a month or two before recycling them.
A key concern was the fact the water stays in contact with the plastic long durations. However as mentioned this does not affect the quality of water and it is safe to consume.
The conversation took on an interesting debate of the filtered / ro / boiled water we all consume at hone versus Bisler packaged drinking water. Majority of the families use water from any of these options. Packaged water is mostly consumed on the go. For infants on formula milk, cool boiled water is required. It was interesting note the Bisleri is infact purer than any of the water we use at home. Even for infants it is suitable and need not be boiled before use.
With all these doubts cleared up, I was at ease about giving Bisleri mineral water to my child. For the little ones, there were fun games and activities organised to keep things interesting. Back Labour - Reasons, Symptoms & Treatment
Pregnancy and labour take a toll on you physically, emotionally and mentally. Exercise, diet and rest are the three most important things to pay attention to in order to keep yourself strong and fit. What Is Back Labour?
Pregnant women sometimes experience pain during labour, which can occur in the abdomen and pelvic region but is most common in the lower back. This is known as Back Labour. It occurs in around a fourth of all pregnant women, and the pain is usually worse when going through contractions. This is most commonly assumed to be due to the force exerted by the foetus on your lower back.
What Does Back Labour Feel Like?
Back labour pain is at its peak during and between your contractions, making it nearly unbearable during this time. What does back labour feel like in the beginning? The pain you feel during labour is usually manageable at first, feeling like standard backaches. However, when contractions begin, an incredible burning feeling in the lower back could emerge, dwarfing the pain caused by the labour itself. Back labour pain is consistent with jumps in pain when the contractions arrive. Some women have described it as feeling as if your back is breaking with every contraction.
Causes Of Back Labour
Studies have shown that there are multiple factors that affect back labour. Before you know how to control and cope with back labour pain, here are some of the reasons of back labour:
Position of the foetus: One of the most common reasons of back labour is how the baby is positioned inside your body. The ideal situation is when the foetus is upside down with the chin tucked into the neck and facing the back. But if your baby is facing the abdomen, its head can put pressure on your tailbone, causing more pain as your baby gets bigger. This is known as a posterior baby or a sunny-side up baby.
Women with small waists: Women who have small waists tend to have babies longer than their torsos, which means that the baby exerts pressure on the mother’s back instead of the cervix due to lesser space.
Stiff ligaments: Pregnant women with rigid ligaments can make it tricky for the baby to find the right position in the uterus.
Wrong posture: Standing without bending knees slightly or tipping forward the pelvis increases the risks of back labour.
Injuries to the back or ligaments: A history of back or ligament injuries greatly increases the chances of developing back labour.
Shape of the pelvis: Occasionally, some women have pelvises that can only accommodate a foetus arranged in the posterior position.
Signs And Symptoms
Back labour contractions are associated with several symptoms:
Pregnant women with back labour are likely to have a much longer and more painful birth.
One of the early signs of labour back pain is the inability of women with posterior babies to feel when their contractions have started.
Labour contractions that do not occur at regular time intervals
Extra time spent pushing during labour due to the awkward position of the baby
Risk Factors
While there are no direct risks linked with developing back labour, there are a few factors associated with the posterior arrangement of the foetus.

Medical induction of labour
Interestingly, sometimes, foetuses can be in a posterior position but not cause back labour in the mother at all. In a 2005 study conducted among women in labour, moms-to-be with posterior babies were not likelier to complain of back pain than women who had downward/sideward-facing babies. However, the study was inconclusive as 90% of the women eventually opted for an epidural for pain management.
Will It Cause Complications For Baby Or Me?
While back labour can be extremely uncomfortable, it cannot hurt either you or your child. However, it is possible for posterior babies to drop into the birth canal, which can cause complications like difficult labour, exhaustion and vaginal tearing. This situation can be controlled by using forceps to pull the baby through the birth canal, episiotomies to enlarge the vaginal opening, or caesarean surgeries.
How To Improve Foetal Position
As back labour is most commonly caused by the baby sunny side up, fixing the position of the baby can help with the back labour pain. Some of the techniques used to improve foetal position are:
Sleeping on the left side: This makes the baby move around, removing pressure from the back.
Leaning in while sitting: Leaning forward in a sitting position also convinces your foetus to shift its position. The ideal way of doing this is by straddling a birth ball or an armless chair.
Stay active: Indulging in a few hours of cardio exercises every day can help shift the foetus around, especially downward-directed activities like breaststroke swimming.
Pelvic tilts: If you are carrying a posterior baby, it is essential to perform these exercises multiple times a day. Pelvic tilts help reduce the pressure on the spine.
External cephalic version: Posterior babies usually switch positions a few weeks before pregnancy. But if your baby still hasn’t moved, there are some procedures you might want to consider. The doctor can use a technique called External Cephalic Version to manually turn the baby into the delivery-friendly position while using ultrasonography as a guiding system.
How Do I Get Relief From Back Labour?
Labour time is stressful enough for an expecting mother without having to deal with the physical discomfort of back labour. The treatment for back labour is easy to do and quite effective.
Using hot and cold compresses alternatingly on your lower back
Steady counter pressure via a back massage will relieve some pain
Taking a warm bath or shower
Applying pressure by having cylindrical or spherical objects, like bottles or balls, rolling down your back
How To Prevent Back Labour?
It is not possible to tell if you will experience back labour when giving birth. However, as mentioned above, fixing the position of the baby is one of the best methods to prevent back labour. In addition to getting your baby the right way up, visiting your chiropractor regularly will help to manage any developing pains. Ensure you get an ultrasound done to check the baby’s position often so you can start treatments as soon as you find out your baby is posterior. You can also visit a childbirth training class to receive advice and pain-relieving techniques from someone trained in the subject.
Other Comfort Measures
There are a few other methods to have a comfortable pregnancy without back labour. Some of these are:
You could give birth in a standing or kneeling position as it puts less pressure on the back
Staying on your hands and knees throughout labour is also helpful in relieving back labour
An alternative technique is injecting sterile water into the lower back, which gives pain relief for several hours. It must be noted that while this is popular, the mechanism behind how it works is still unclear

A. If you have missed your periods you can wait for one week more or else you can do a urine pregnancy test to know about the pregnancy result and consult with your doctor according to the result for medication.
The best treatment to have Regular periods is by having a healthy lifestyle with regular daily walking or jogging along with mild exercise and meditation whenever possible. as medications will only act till you are taking them

Q. Done my first routine blood test ..it shows thyroid border line.its my 6 week running as per USG.
but prior to that my thyroid level was always normal I did check up every year and got it normal .this time it shows borderline high in 6 week pregnancy.
is it something to worry.plz guide

A. it is better to follow your doctors advice for treating the thyroid deficiency. if there is no relief it is better you see your doctor for proper examination particularly physical examination if there is need for doing investigations to find out the problem and treatment ok
