Pregnancy Without Ovulation - Is It Possible?
Ovulation means the time of the monthly cycle when the body releases an egg or ovum from the ovaries. This egg makes its way from the fallopian tube and is ready to get fertilized by a sperm post-intercourse. If the egg is fertilised, it may travel to the uterus and implant to develop into a pregnancy. Thus, it is not possible for a woman to become pregnant without ovulation.
Do Women Have to Be Ovulating to Conceive?
Normal, healthy women with a regular menstrual cycle generally ovulate once a month. A woman has to ovulate in order to conceive. You can get pregnant if you have intercourse 5 days before ovulation and 1 day after ovulation. This is because a man’s sperm can survive in the female birth canal for up to 5 days.
Can You Get Pregnant Without Ovulation?
A woman cannot get pregnant without ovulation. If you are thinking about the chances of getting pregnant if you are not ovulating, then understand that the chances are none. Ovulation is necessary for the sperm to be able to fertilize the egg. Many women question if they can get pregnant if they are fertile but not ovulating. The answer is "No". If a woman is fertile, it means she is able to produce eggs. But a woman can only get pregnant if she has intercourse around the time of ovulation. Thus, it is not possible to get pregnant if a woman is not ovulating.
When Does the Ovulation Occur
A menstrual cycle of a woman lasts for 28 days on an average. In this cycle, the first day of periods is considered as day 1. In a cycle of 28 days, ovulation occurs sometime between days 11 and 21. This is around 14 to 15 days before the next period begins. However, not everyone has a 28-day menstrual cycle. Cycle length can vary from 21 to 35 days. For a 21 day cycle, ovulation occurs between days 5 and 12, and for a 35-day cycle, ovulation occurs between days 18 to 26.
The exact time of ovulation can be determined by charting the length of your cycles, your basal body temperature, observing changes in the cervix and cervical mucus, and by using ovulation predictor kits available in pharmacies.
What Are the Most Fertile Days?
The most fertile days during the menstrual cycle are the last 5 days. Out of these, 3 days are right before ovulation, 1 on the day of ovulation, and 1 day after ovulation. These days are the most fertile as sperm can stay alive in a woman’s birth canal for up to 5 days and the egg deteriorates between 24 to 48 hours after ovulation. Thus, the most fertile days can be calculated based on cycle length.
FAQs Regarding Ovulation
Here are frequently asked questions about ovulation:
1. What Are the Signs of Ovulation?
The signs of ovulation are:
A decrease in basal body temperature before ovulation and a significant increase in temperature after ovulation.
Changes in cervical mucus: The cervical mucus is thick and transparent and looks very similar to egg whites at the time of ovulation.
Changes in the cervix: The cervix will feel wet and soft at the time of ovulation. However, this can be detected accurately by women only after following and examining their cervix for several menstrual cycles.
Other signs: Some women may experience other signs during ovulation, such as increased libido, mild pain or cramps on one side of the pelvic area, bloated abdomen, spotting, and an increased sense of smell, taste, or vision.
2. What Are Ovulatory Disorders?
An anovulatory disorder is anything that hampers the normal ovulation process and causes irregular or failed ovulation. Anovulation is an ovulatory disorder where there is an absence of ovulation. This is because the eggs may not have developed properly or an egg may not get released by the ovaries. Oligo-ovulation is a disorder where the ovulation occurs, but not every month. The ovulation is irregular.
3. What Are the Causes of Ovulatory Disorders?
Most ovulatory disorders are caused by Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). This is a hormonal disorder which is characterized by ovarian cysts, excessive production of male sex hormones like testosterone, and irregular periods. Other causes of ovulatory disorders are hormonal problems, urinary infections, malfunctioning of endocrine and pituitary glands, over-exercising, obesity, being underweight, and eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia.
4. How Are Ovulatory Disorders Treated?
Treatment of ovulatory disorders depends on their root cause. If it is a hormonal problem, the doctor may prescribe medicines to correct that. There are also pills available that increase the level of hormones such as Luteinizing hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) that activate ovulation in the body. The doctor may also suggest diet and lifestyle changes to treat eating disorders or over-exercising.
5. How to Know If I Am Not Ovulating?
In order to track ovulation, you will need to chart your menstrual cycles and your basal body temperature around the time of ovulation. This will help you keep a record of your ovulation cycles. If there is no significant temperature drop in your basal body temperature, then you may not be ovulating. You can learn about your ovulation better by using the ovulation test kits available in pharmacies.
6. Can Ovulation Occur without Period?
Ovulation can happen without a period. For example, lactating mothers do not have menstrual periods for a few months after delivery, but they do ovulate and can get pregnant if they have unprotected intercourse. It is difficult to track ovulation if you do not have menstrual periods and you will need to track it using the symptoms like lower basal body temperature and changes in cervical mucus.
7. Is It Possible to Have Periods But No Ovulation?
It is possible to have a menstrual period without ovulating. Some women may experience menstrual bleeding but not ovulate at all. This is called anovulatory cycle. This may be because of a reduction in oestrogen levels or some accumulation in the uterine lining that needs to be shed.
8. Can Ovulation Occur Right After a Period?
Ovulation can happen early in women who have short menstrual cycles. So it is possible to ovulate soon after a period. Women who ovulate early can get pregnant by having unprotected intercourse soon after a period.
9. What Are the Chances of Ovulating More Than Once in a Cycle?
Women can usually ovulate only once in each cycle. Scientific research to prove that it is possible for women to ovulate multiple times in the same cycle is insufficient. However, a woman can release more than one egg in a single ovulation cycle. This is one of the reasons for multiple pregnancies to occur. If a woman releases 2 eggs in her cycle and both get fertilized by sperm, fraternal twins are formed.
10. Can Ovulation Occur During a Period?
Ovulation cannot happen during a menstrual period. This is because a menstrual period happens when the uterus sheds its inner lining around 11 to 15 days post-ovulation. However, some women may experience mild bleeding mid-cycle, and this is called ovulatory bleeding. This happens at the time of ovulation. This is often mistaken by women for a menstrual period.
Pregnancy without ovulation is not possible as an egg has to be released by the ovaries in order for it to get fertilized by the sperm. In order to conceive, a woman has to have unprotected intercourse with her partner around the time of ovulation. The time of ovulation can be determined using ovulation test kits and by charting basal body temperature.

Your 45 Week Old Baby - Development, Milestones & Care
Your baby is already 45 weeks old, which is 11 months and two weeks! He is a big boy now and more interested in eliciting reactions out of people around him - he may bang his cup down or yank your hair just to hear a big ‘NO’ out of you. Crying, being clingy, and crankiness are other things to watch out for at this age, but your baby will also be extra confident and independent enough to crawl, pull himself up, stand and maybe even start to walk. Your 45-week old baby would have mastered clapping and blowing kisses by now. He might bring his mouth to your cheek to offer you a kiss, but be careful: it might turn into a bite in the end! That’s how unpredictable a baby will be at this age.
Your 45 Week Old Baby’s Development
Your 45-week-old baby will often be confused between two of his needs – to keep an eye on you, thanks to separation anxiety and a strong, conflicting need to move around and explore his environment. He will end up using you like the base - going everywhere and yet coming back to check whether you are still there or not. He will gain confidence this way but may become alarmed when he finds you not at where he left you. You baby will love reading colourful books with you and start pointing out things in the book and sounding out their names if you have been reading to him often. Most babies this age might have the trademark chubby legs, arms and a pot belly but these will start to become leaner in the next few months. So do all the squeezing you want now!

Your 45 Week Old Baby's Developmental Milestones
Below are some of the 45-week-old baby milestones you can learn to identify and expect:
Your baby will be able to get into a sitting position from a 'lying flat on tummy' position
Your baby will be able to understand the meaning of ‘no’ but not always obey it
Your baby will be able to bend and pick up objects with his fingers
Your baby will be able to imitate inflections and sounds
Your baby will be able to follow simple step instructions like ‘bring me the ball’ or ‘give me that’ with gestures
Your baby will be able to reply with sounds when you prompt. Like when you ask ‘what does the cow say’, he can reply with ‘moo’.
Your baby’s vocabulary may increase to 4 or 5 distinct sounding words along with ‘mama’ and ‘papa’.

Feeding
Your 45-week old baby is heading to complete one year, so consider weaning him off your breast. If you are in no hurry and enjoy breastfeeding, you can continue for as long as you like. Toddlers gain a lot of nutrition as well as immune support from breastfeeding. But if you want to start weaning by the age of one year, give your breasts and body time to adjust for these changes. Dropping a feed per week is a systematic approach. Here is a plan for breastfeeding your baby:
One feed on waking
Breakfast
Mid-morning feed before nap
Breastfeed and lunch
Mid-afternoon feed before nap
Breastfeed and dinner
Breastfeed at bedtime
Breastfeed on night waking
When you wean a baby, you replace breastfeeding with other sources of food and comfort. To allow your breasts to adjust, avoid reducing mealtime feeds consecutively. For example, you can drop a lunchtime feed one week, and the dinner feeds the next. You can replace these with food and water from a cup. Also, you can replace breast milk with formula. If you do the transition well, you can reach the weaning stage of cutting out sleep time feeds.

Sleeping
Babies at 45 weeks experience peak sleep disturbance. This could mean that your baby might spend the whole night at your breast, frequently feeding, in what is called ‘breast sleeping’. This can be both positive as well as challenging for mothers. But sometimes, surrendering is the best option till your baby sleeps well again. If you are in this situation, make sure to support yourself and ease any strain from the fixed position. Sometimes in the middle of the night, it is easy to roll your baby to the other side of you to help you ease your body positioning for better sleep. Although this period is intense, it is temporary. Once your baby gets through this developmental phase, you can return him to his cot or resume the previous bed sharing.

Care Tips for Your 45-week-old Baby
Below are a few ways for you to care for your 45-week-old baby.
When your baby tries to provoke you to say ‘no’ by throwing his sippy cup or yanking on the telephone cord, don’t say ‘no’ to him. Simply take the cup away saying ‘all done’ or replace the real telephone with a toy telephone.
If you have a staircase at home, your baby will try to climb up and down. Make sure to keep an eye. You can hold his hand and teach him how to go up by staying behind to catch him if he loses balance. While coming down, you can teach him that the safest way is feet first and flat on the tummy. But never leave him near the stairs alone.
If your baby throws tantrums on you taking something away from him, like the remote control, offer a substitute like building blocks. Have nap times even if he resists. No matter how much he screams, don’t give in. Instead, calmly explain why he can’t have it and put him in a safe place like a crib where he can cry it out till he responds to comfort. Don’t stress; he is just testing your limits.
Test and Vaccinations
A doctor will not usually schedule a medical checkup for your baby at the 10-11 month mark.
1. Tests
If your baby shows signs of anaemia, the doctor can advise a blood test to check levels of haemoglobin, iron and lead in his blood. The doctor will also measure your baby’s height and weight to track his development.
2. Vaccinations
Between 6-18 months, your baby will need the final dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine and the third dose of the IPV (polio) vaccine. Depending on the environment and your baby’s health, he may also need an influenza vaccine shot recommended by the doctor.
Games and Activities
Below are a few games and activities you can play with your baby:
Peekaboo/Hide and Seek - Since babies at this stage are prone to separation anxiety, such call and respond games can reassure your baby that you are still nearby even when not visible.
You can play the box game where you sit your baby inside a large cardboard box and keep opening and closing the lid, calling, so he knows you are there.
You can erect a play tunnel for him where he can crawl through and enjoy trying to come out from the other end.
You can play hide and seek with the other parent, holding your baby in your arms and seeking along with him.
Ask your baby to find a particular object in the room like his favourite toy or pacifier.
You can also teach your baby gestures for different words, like ‘more’ for when he wants more food at mealtimes.

When to Consult a Doctor
Here is when you should consult your doctor during your 45-week-old infant's development:
If you notice any abnormality in the way your baby walks or in his legs, if only one leg is bowed or one knee is turned in, consult your paediatrician. Your baby might have rickets or any other condition in which case the treatment would be a diet rich in Vitamin D.
Since your baby will move around more at this stage, make sure he doesn’t fall and hit himself on sharp edges. If he does and you notice that your baby is in pain a few days later, call your doctor.
Babies at 45 weeks of age are hard to handle due to sleep disruption and tantrums. You can follow the above tips to handle your baby till he passes this developmental stage.

Blocked Fallopian Tubes - A Major Cause of Female Infertility
A common cause of infertility in women, blocked fallopian tubes are also treatable. With the advances in medicine, there are now multiple treatment options available for women who have been diagnosed with the complication. Read on for all you need to know about diagnosing and dealing with the condition.
What are Blocked Fallopian Tubes
Located in the abdominal cavity between the uterus and the ovaries, the fallopian tubes are also called uterine tubes or the oviduct. There are two fallopian tubes on either side of the uterus. They help in the transportation of the sperm from the vaginal opening, to the egg that has been released by the ovary during ovulation. The fallopian tubes also help with the transportation of the egg post fertilization, to the uterus for the purpose of implantation. If the connection between the uterus and the ovaries is blocked, this is known as a blocked fallopian tube. A woman with the condition may have either or, or both tubes blocked.
Does Fallopian Tube Blockage Cause Infertility?
Blocked fallopian tubes are one of the most common causes of infertility - in about 40% of women worldwide. If your fallopian tubes are blocked, it means that the sperm cannot travel to the egg, or the fertilized egg cannot make its way back to the uterus. A lot of women who have been diagnosed with the condition suffer from infertility. Getting your fallopian tubes checked, and administering the right treatment on time can remove you from the bracket of infertility.
Is it Possible to Get Pregnant with Blocked Fallopian Tubes?
Getting pregnant with blocked fallopian tubes is difficult but not impossible, based on your condition. There are various ways to treat this complication, and your doctor is sure to advise you on the course of treatment best suited to your needs.
Types of Fallopian Tube Blockages
There are three types of fallopian tube blockage, based on the location of the blockage. These are:
Proximal fallopian tube blockage - a blockage near the uterus
Medial - a blockage near the middle of the fallopian tube.
Distal blockage - a blockage near the fimbriae, which is near the end of the fallopian tubes.
Causes of Blocked Fallopian Tubes
Here are a few causes of blocked fallopian tubes:
PID or pelvic inflammatory disease: This is a condition where there is an inflammation in the pelvic area due to infection. This is a sexually transmitted disease that can cause your fallopian tubes to get blocked.
STDs: Other sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia and gonorrhoea can be responsible as well. Sometimes, even if you've recovered from these sexually transmitted diseases, a history of the same is enough to get your fallopian tubes blocked.
Endometriosis: This is one of the most common causes of a blocked fallopian tube. Every month during the menstruation cycle, a uterine lining is formed, which is then discarded as your menstruation period. For women who suffer from endometriosis, this uterine lining is formed outside the uterus, and in extreme cases even in the fallopian tubes, vagina or even the rectum. Unfortunately, the trouble doesn't end there - it begins when this uterine lining isn't discarded but gets accumulated, forming a growth. This condition causes blockage and scar tissue formation in the fallopian tubes.
Surgery: A history of surgery that involves the fallopian tubes.
Appendicitis: In some cases, a ruptured appendix can cause blocked fallopian tubes as well.
Hormonal anomalies: Hormonal imbalance can lead to blocked fallopian tubes
Fallopian Tube Blockage Symptoms
There aren't many signs that will tell you that you have a problem. Here are some symptoms to watch out for if you suspect you have blocked tubes:
Inability to get pregnant
Abdominal pain
Pain during intercourse.
Irregular periods and spotting in between your periodic menstrual cycle can be a few other signs that your fallopian tubes are blocked.
Inflammation of the pelvic area and pain can be experienced if your fallopian tubes are blocked due to endometriosis.
Diagnosis
Your doctor may conduct the following tests to diagnose your condition:
Hysterosalpingogram (HSG): Here a tiny tube is used to place some dye through the cervix. X-rays of the pelvic area show if the dye has spread to the ovaries into the pelvic cavity. If it has not, the fallopian tubes may be blocked and will need to be tested further.
Ultrasound: A transvaginal ultrasound is used to examine the fallopian tubes and detect abnormality
Exploratory laparoscopic surgery (hysteroscopy): Here a camera is placed into the cervix to examine the uterus
Blood tests: This help detect the presence of Chlamydia antibodies)
Complications of Blocked Tubes
The complication a blocked fallopian tube most frequently leads to, is an ectopic pregnancy, a condition in this the fertilized egg is implanted in a place other than the uterus, in this case, in the blocked tube. This kind of pregnancy is not a viable one and can be life-threatening for the mother. The chances of an ectopic pregnancy increase if surgery is performed to partially remove the affected tube. It is usually recommended that women who have or have had this complication opt for an IVF(in vitro fertilization)
Treatment for Tube Blockage
Treatment for blocked fallopian tubes is available, but this depends on the extent to which the tubes are blocked. If only one of the two fallopian tubes is blocked, then you have chances of getting pregnant, without a lot of external help, as during ovulation, the ovary alternates between both tubes. Here are a few lines of treatment which may be recommended:
Infertility drugs can be administered to elevate your chance of getting pregnant.
If your fallopian tube blockage is due to scar tissue, then a laparoscopic treatment can be conducted to remove the tissue and clear the blockage.
Salpingectomy is another surgical procedure, where a part of the fallopian tube - usually the blocked part, is removed, while the rest of the fallopian tubes are connected and fixed back.
Fimbrioplasty is performed if there is damage to the fimbriae. With the help of this procedure, the scar tissue that is stuck to the cilia and fimbriae is treated.
Home Remedies to Treat Blocked Fallopian Tubes
There are several natural ways to unblock fallopian tubes, but this depends on the extent to which your tubes are blocked. Extreme scar tissue blockage or damage will require surgery. These natural ways can help you, if your blockage is minimum, and if only one of the two fallopian tubes is blocked.
Natural hormone balancing drugs can be administered to treat your pituitary glands - glands that are responsible for the hormonal activity.
Herbal therapy in which herbs like goldenseal, ginger root, hawthorn, peony root and wild yam are given, to increase the chances of fertility is beneficial. These herbs work on the circulatory system, stimulate the lymphatic system, increase the progesterone levels and balance the oestrogen and testosterone levels, heal any adhesions and damage, reduce congestion and inflammation, aid oxygen absorption and improving blood flow.
Castor oil therapy includes externally applying the oil to the pelvic area, to help improve the circulation and heal your abdomen and pelvic tissues. Castor oil also helps in stimulating the lymphatic system, which in turn can help remove all the metabolic waste, dead cells and old tissues.
Another natural way to unblock fallopian tubes includes fertility or abdominal massages. A good massage on a regular basis will help improve your circulation and clear the blocked passages. Massages can help relieve any pain that comes with endometriosis as well. It can help break any scar tissue and ease out inflammation. It can help ease out any twisted tissues as well.
Fertility cleansing is another effective natural treatment. Here, the reproductive passage is cleared, with the help of herbs and natural antibiotics. This treatment is almost like a detoxification process for your reproductive organs.
Systematic enzyme therapy, where enzymes that are found in your body naturally in your body, are used to help break down scar tissue, clear out the blockage, relieve inflammation and cleanse the passage.
Prevention
Prevention is always better than cure. Here are a few preventive measures that you could take:
Avoid drinking and smoking.
Practice some meditation. This can help lower your stress levels.
Sign up for yoga classes, or do it at home. A few poses that can help boost the health of your reproductive organs are the butterfly pose and bridge pose.
Avoid excessive consumption of junk foods. Include foods like fresh fruits, green leafy vegetables and coconut oils. These are rich in antioxidants. Citrus foods, eggs, mangoes, zucchini and spinach are rich in carotenoids, which help your enzymes and circulation as well.
Increase your intake of Vitamin C - it helps ease out inflammation.
Use herbal tampons. These contain herbs like goldenseal and Dong Quai, which can help clear out your fallopian tubes.
As mentioned before, getting pregnant with blocked fallopian tubes is hard, but not impossible, especially if this condition gets treated early. Review your condition with your doctor, and see what works best for you. Living a healthy life, complete with a good diet and regular exercise regime can prove to be helpful as well.

"NAYAB-e-INAYAT": Daughters are the Precious Blessings to Fathers Sent from God
Sajde kiye hain Maine Lakho Duaein Maagi Fir Jake Paya hai Tujhe...
These Lines itself says a Lot. When ur prayers become blessings Daughters are born. A father shares extra ordinary bond with his female child n so as she. My husband Loves and pampers his daughter. Earlier He used to ask everyone in family to name their new born Ayat but they refused and said whenever u have one name her Ayat. And see God sent him a princess ?Ayat after a baby boy.
He used to say "Ayat meri Ayat hai,Ayat jaisa koi Nahi,ye to pariyon ki SHEHZADI,door fizaon se aayi"
In my previous Article "Ishq-e-Mehboob" I showed the Love between Me & my son Rayyan now let's discuss father & daughter equations.
These father & daughter loves each other a lot. She is just a year old but feels his presence around her. She waits for him to return from office. After waking up before coming to me first she goes to his father & shows affection. Moves around him, calls him, shouts on him, shows tantrums to him. In return how much tired his dad is but will hold his baby the day long. That's how fathers are.
One of his fav song for his princess which he usually sings❤️
Dekhne walo ne kya kya nahi Dekha hoga mera dawa hai ki tujhsa nahi Dekha hoga jis tarah Maine teri raah taki hai barso yun kisi ne tera rasta nahi dekha hoga...
For Ayat m sure his dad is his first Love, perfect Definition of good human & now she won't compromise nothing less than her dad?
My experience
I relate her activities to my childhood. Like every daughter I am also my fathers Love and strength. I am more attached to my father than my mother. I am thankful to my father for Everything. I remember I used to take care of his little little stuffs. I liked to do his work. Fetching him a glass of water, polishing his shoes, helping him in paper work, teaching him how to operate smart phones and so on. And my father has pampered me a lot. Today also we share outmost understanding. I am still the same for him Being a mother of two now.
Why Daughters are BLESSINGS to Fathers?
Because A man seems capable of more human emotions with his daughter than he will ever share with anyone else.
These girls are the shehzadis of house. They spread fragrance of their Love Joy and Humour. They radiate positive energy. They are the powerhouse. When dad treats them as princess they feel their dad to be a King. They are one who unites the house with their strength put colours to their lives and bond them with creating happy memories. They are not less. Their is saying...
Sabke mokaddar me kahan hoti hain betiyan
Ghar khuda ka jo pasand aye waha hoti hain betiyan
So u lucky daddy's u r chosen especially to have this blessing in ur life treasure them.
Father's Role in Nurturing Daughters
Every Father should give their daughters Love Care Respect Honour & Confidence. Because they are the one who portray a man's image in their eyes. The way they treat them behave with them pamper them reflects the beauty of Relation. They sees the image of their Prince Charming in fathers actions. They believe the very first man of their life. And from their fathers they start developing faith on other persons. Father is head of house so he should feed and educate them equally. One day they will leave their baba's house to spread their fragrance to someone else life. Till the time they are with u make them feel special because they are the valid reasons to live. How much far they go but u will be always in their prayers. Daughters are the keys to open the door of heaven. Make them capable enough to achieve each and every thing they want in Life.
And we believe....
Ek farz mila hai to use Dil se nibha Lo
Beti ko Mohabbat se Dilo Jaan se Paalo
Beti pe to Jannat ki Zamanat hai khuda ki
Ye bojh nahi hai ye Amanat hai khuda ki
Beti ki Mohabbat se Mehekta hai Gharana
Beti he dilayegi tumhe Jannat me Thikana
Beti to hai Ek Anmol Kazana.. dear fathers Love them well! Feed them well! Educate them well!

A. Hello mam! If it is due to colic pain /gas, it is common in newborns. Make sure that you burp your baby after every feed. Don't feed just before your baby is to sleep. Make a routine like feed, play and sleep. Burp inbetween feedings. Colic pain will stop automatically at 5 or 6 months. So don't worry. Happy parenting!

A. the average birth weight of neonates is about 3 kg.
during the first few days after birth, the newborn loses
extracellular fluid equivalent to about 10% of the body
weight.
most infants regain their birth weight by the age of 10 days. subsequently, they gain weight at a rate of
approximately 25 to 30 g per day for the first 3 months of life.
thereafter they gain about 400 g weight every month,
for the remaining part of the first year. x
an infant usually doubles his birth weight (taken as 3 kg) by the age of 5 months. the birth weight triples at 1 year and is four times at 2 years of age.
the weight of ca child at the age of three years is usually
five times that of the birth weight.
