Measure the ingredients and keep them ready. In a separate pan empty the egg yolk apart from the whole egg
Add the milk to the sugar and mix it well with a whisk. Ensure there are no lump and beat it until you see small bubbles. Heat the mixture on a low flame for 2-3 minutes while stirring in between.
Once you see the mixture becoming thick and cream in colour, toss the oats and the nuts powder if needed. Mix well and cook it for 5 minutes until the oats are soft and mushy. Switch off the gas once done. Serve it once cooled or refrigerate it if you desire.

Remove from the pan, and it will continue to cook. You can replace the honey with sugar if your baby is allergic to honey.

5 cups Milk

How to Prepare
Wash and peel the skin of apples. Chop it into cubes and steam them to make a puree.
In a separate pan take egg yolk from the eggs.
Add the milk and brown sugar to the eggs and whisk it well. Stir and whisk until there are no lumps and you see small bubbles.
Heat the mixture on a low flame for 2-3 minutes and keep stirring in between
Once you see the mixture becoming thick and creamy in colour, add the oats along with the powdered almonds and nut powder. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes until the oats are cooked completely. The switch of the flame.
Add the pureed apples and give it a good stir to mix well. Serve once cooled or chilled.

5. Banana Custard
An eggless dessert with banana,milk and custard powder it is a great option for vegetarians.
What You Will Need
Banana- 1 large
Milk- 1 ¼ cups
Custard powder - 1 tbsp

Chopped nuts – 1 tbsp (optional)
Nuts powder – 1 tbsp
How to Prepare
Mix the custard powder with ¼ cup of milk. Whisk it well and mix it without any lumps.
Chop the bananas and grind into a smooth paste. Keep some chopped pieces aside for garnishing at the end.
Heat the remaining milk in a pan on slow fire and add the custard mix little by a little while constantly stirring it.
Boil the mixture until it thickens and becomes creamy in texture. Add the nuts powder if you wish. Switch off the flame once completely done.
Add the pureed bananas and mix well.

Move smoothly. This means that you should avoid any uncomfortable or quick movements, and opt to move at a slow pace. Slow movements reduce the risk of stressing out your ligaments and joints during pregnancy.
Every stretch you do should be held for at least 10 to 30 seconds. This is because the muscles of pregnant women need some time to relax adequately.
Understand your body and do not force a stretch with quick movements
Control your breath, as it can also help you limit the speed of your movements. Deepen your stretch gently as you exhale.
If you feel any pain while stretching, you should stop your stretch immediately, and not go through with it.
Inhale as you return to your starting position while stretching.
Do not lie on your back, especially after stretching. This can result in the cutting off of blood flow to the uterus, and cause lightheadedness and low blood pressure.
Pregnancy Stretches that You Should Try
Here are some stretching exercises which are great for pregnant women:
1. Shoulder Stretches
Sit on a comfortable chair, and open your chest while simultaneously rotating your shoulders backwards and down. Make the circle as large as possible. Repeat for 4 or 5 times.
2. Chest Stretches
Stand in a doorway, and keep both your arms on either side of the doorway at shoulder height.
Slowly, step forward with one foot until you feel a pull in the chest area (do not move too much!)
Hold for thirty seconds, and switch feet in a smooth motion.
Repeat one or two times per side, multiple times in a day.
3. Roll-down
Stand with your back pressed against the wall, with your feet shoulder-width apart.
Then, bend forward as you exhale, in a slow, smooth action. Go as far down as per your comfort.
Let your hands hang in front of you, and always keep your weight on your feet.
Inhale again before rolling back up, and press your back against the wall in a step-by-step fashion until you are upright again.
Repeat two times. If your belly becomes too big, you can do the same seated in a chair.
4. Neck Stretch
While sitting or standing, bring your head forward and tipped to one side.
Reach up behind your head with the hand on the same side as your head is tipped, and give your head a gentle pull.
If you do this while turning your head, you will be able to isolate the muscles on your neck which need stretching.
5. Waist Twist
Stand with your feet apart at shoulder-width, and knees slightly bent.
Bring both your arms to the left side at shoulder height, while you look over your right shoulder. Hold the stretch for a time.
Then, move back slowly and reverse the motion.
Repeat the actions twice or thrice each time, multiple times a day.
6. Calf Stretches
Stand 2 feet from a wall, and extend your arms in front of you at shoulder height and width.
Tilt forward slightly, so that your palms touch the wall while your heels remain on the ground. Hold the stretch for ten seconds.
Then, slowly push away from the wall.
Repeat twice. Make sure you don't wear slippery shoes or socks while performing this stretch.
7. Hamstring Stretch
Put one foot up on a chair, with both hips and your feet facing forward.
Then, lean forward on your hips so that you feel a pull on the back of your thighs.
If the chair is too uncomfortable, try a lower step or something with lesser height.
Stretches, particularly pregnancy hip stretches are instrumental in helping a woman maintain her health during this tumultuous time. Exercise can be good for both, the mother and the child if done correctly. So remember to check with the doctor before starting a stretching regime.

A Beautiful Journey Towards Motherhood
When all the wonders of the universe come together to bless you, it is then you hear the first cry of your own creation. It is the only time you feel happy to hear your child crying; when you become a mother.
It was the holy month for Hindus, celebrating different festivals. People all around were praying, chanting, singing and it seemed like all the blessings were upon my womb.
It is so mystic when I sit back and see my USG reports now, how beautifully carved and created my baby was – from one small cell to a grown-up body. This is the beauty of the entire process of giving birth and passing on the DNA to the next generation.
Every day I woke up in those 8 months, it was like I was getting a new life for myself because of the worries creeping inside my mind day in and day out. The fear of a past incident of losing a 36-week-old foetus had had a bad heart-wrenching effect on my soul.
Even after the worst situation of losing my first baby, I always felt that her soul is present inside me. When I conceived for the second time, I felt that nature has designed this process so beautifully, treating mothers as the agents who build the bridge to connect a body with the soul. We are not the owner of the child but a path-provider to them. Our conviction determines their future. The time before my second pregnancy was the time I was most fruitful, hardworking, determined, and enthusiastic and I possessed a spirit of not giving up on anything.
Be determined and assured that whatever happens in life, being it a good or bad incidence, it will always teach us a lesson. Out of my own experience, I think fear makes us ignorant but when we work on that and never give a chance for happiness to fade away from us, it can never harm us. I was so determined that I was sure I would be able to give birth to a healthy child again.
Despite the many challenges that came my way, I kept high hopes and believed in a life force to activate positive energies, which in turn gave me a fruitful outcome. Now, when I look back, I love my adventurous journey – from being an outgoing, immature, party-hopping, shopaholic girl to becoming a responsible mom.
I educated myself enough for my second pregnancy. I had enough research for every good and flaw concerning a delivery. In those 8 months (as my angel was born at 34 weeks), I never took any chances of being negligent during pregnancy, be it regarding proper diagnosis, food, health, travelling, work or anything concerned. It is advisable to be alert during every step when you carry life within yourself, irrespective of unpredictable fate.
A minor mistake during pregnancy will not give you the chance to bounce back immediately and that's why there is no scope to miss any opportunity to take care of yourself. A few precautions that helped me out were:
Following healthy food habits.
Not experimenting with many different fruits, veggies or packaged food.
Saying no to junk food.
Monitoring sugar levels weekly, and in later months, every alternate day.
Noticing the movements of a baby is most crucial.
Proper focus on thyroid and taking medicine regularly if required.
Drinking enough water daily.
Since I had an inclination towards the higher side of diabetes, it is always advisable for me to keep my weight in control with healthy habits.
Checking of sugar and blood pressure levels is optional but I think it gives you inner satisfaction and relief when you are worried about such things. It also plays a major role in collapsing a foetus silently.
The challenges started from the fifth month when my water levels started dropping below the safe line. Every night passed like a year and I kept on praying to have a safe delivery. This continued for almost 6 weeks and I was kept under observation in the hospital for a few more weeks, to maintain the baby's normal weight. Finally, in the 34th week, the doctor decided to operate as it was our choice to have a caesarean delivery.
On 27th October 2018, I got a new life through this journey of motherhood. The first cry of a child takes away all the pain in just a second. She is a jewel and a blessing to us.
Motherhood is quite a tough job. In spite of hardships and stress at every step, we do, however, enjoy and cherish each moment. Not to give up is a win in itself!
