Bleeding After Caesarean Delivery: Everything You Should Know
Blood loss is unavoidable during and after childbirth, more so during a C-section. Although some bleeding is normal, it helps to know what to expect, and when bleeding after C-section requires a doctor’s attention.
Post-C-Section Bleeding: Is it Normal?
Some bleeding is normal after a C-section, as well as after a vaginal delivery. Here is what you need to know about bleeding after a C-section:
After the procedure, you will experience heavy bleeding for the first few days, along with some clotting. This may be heavier than your periods.
This bleeding is a type of vaginal discharge, known as lochia, and is bright red in colour.
There may be some clotting along with the bleeding, which is also normal during this time.
This discharge will last for around a fortnight (6 weeks). Post that, it will become more watery and the colour will turn from pink-brown to yellow-white.
This bleeding occurs because the body needs to expel the extra tissue that is present in the uterus. Bleeding occurs irrespective of the kind of delivery.
In case the bleeding does not reduce after the first few weeks, you should consult the doctor.
What Are the Causes of Bleeding After Caesarean Delivery?
1. Severed Blood Vessels
During C-section, there are lacerations made, which cause bleeding. In some cases, the initial incision is not wide enough for the baby to exit, and this causes the tissues and blood vessels around this area to get severed while the baby is being taken out. Sometimes, bleeding occurs because some of the arteries and veins around the uterus are accidentally cut during the procedure.
2. Uterine Atony
Uterine Atony is another cause of bleeding after C-section. It occurs when the woman’s uterus does not contract after the placenta is expelled, following the birth of the baby. The blood vessels are closed by the uterine contractions, which prevent the area around the placenta from bleeding, once the placenta is expelled through the vagina. When the uterus does not contract after delivery, it remains open, resulting in heavy bleeding.
3. Placenta Fragments
Some women experience heavy bleeding when the fragments from the placenta remain inside the uterus. This is common in women who have had multiple C-sections.
4. Placenta Accreta
This is a common cause of bleeding. In this case, the bleeding happens because the placenta does not separate naturally from the uterus, as it is deeply embedded. Women who have placenta accreta have the risk of haemorrhaging because the doctor has to manually remove the placenta.
How Long Does Post Caesarean Bleeding Last?
After a caesarean delivery, the bleeding will last for about 6 weeks. There may be various reasons for bleeding after a C-section. Even if it is accompanied by small clots, bleeding is not a cause for worry. However, it must be remembered that the woman might have lost a lot of blood during the C-section, and heavy bleeding after the procedure may become life-threatening. Hence, it is important to keep a lookout for signs of internal bleeding.
Some Common Signs of Internal Bleeding Are
Rapid Heartbeat and Difficulty Breathing
Rapid heartbeat and gasping breathing are a sign of internal bleeding.
A Boggy Uterus
Post-C-section, if the uterus loses its form and becomes boggy or flabby, then internal bleeding may be the cause for it.
Weakness and Severe Anxiety
A lot of women experiencing internal bleeding may complain of weakness and severe anxiety.
Pale and Cold Body
Internal bleeding can make the woman’s face pale and her hands and feet cold.
Heavy Vaginal Bleeding
If your bleeding continues to be heavy even after the initial few weeks, it could be due to internal bleeding.
Reduced Urine Output
If the blood reaching the kidneys is less, then it affects the urine output. Thus, reduced urine output may be a sign of internal bleeding
How Much Bleeding Merits Medical Attention?
If your bleeding becomes heavy again, after tapering off, and the colour turns red, it may be due to overexertion. However, if clotting continues even after resting for a few days, it might be due to some complication.
You should consult your doctor immediately, if:
You are using up a pad or more every hour
The clotting continues
You are feeling dizzy or nauseous
Your pulse is more than 100,you are feeling palpitations
Your blood pressure is less than 100 systolic in your home bp apparatus
How to Manage Bleeding Post C-section
Simple ways to manage the heavy flow post-C-section are:
1. Use Pads – Not Tampons
During the initial weeks, when the flow is heavy, you should use thick pads similar to the thickness of baby diapers.
Tampons can cause a bacterial infection, so they should be completely avoided.
Pads and tampons also make it easier to estimate the amount of blood loss.
2. Wear Old Clothes
During this time, you should use old panties and clothes that can be disposed of later. You might get stains from bleeding, which are difficult to remove.
3. Regularly Change Pads
Keep a stock of maternity pads because you will need lots of them after the delivery.
Good quality maternity pads should be used. Folds of cloth should not be used at all.
3 packs of 12 pads can suffice. Initially, you will have to change hourly, and thereafter, every 3-4 hours.
Hands should be washed and disinfected every time you change the pad.
4. Rest is Best
Since you are bleeding heavily complete bed rest is advised in the initial weeks.
You should avoid any physically strenuous activity because it can affect the recovery process and increase bleeding.
Since the body is recuperating from the change, it is important that you co-operate in the process.
5. Get Help Around the House
You may ask for support from your family members or hire professional help.
Treatment Options
If there is still heavy bleeding after C-section, then you need to consult your doctor. The treatment will depend on the source of the bleeding, at which stage it started, and the seriousness. Hence, it is important to give a complete medical history to your doctor.
If your uterus has not begun to contract after the delivery, then your doctor may give you medication to stimulate contractions. If bleeding does not stop, you may go for some additional surgery. In some cases, hysterectomy is done to prevent blood loss.
Things to Keep in Mind About Bleeding After C-Section
Here are some things you should keep in mind about bleeding after caesarean delivery. We have also covered some tips on managing the bleeding and what to expect.
1. Breastfeeding May Help
Breastfeeding can help lighten some of the bleeding after a C-section, as the uterine muscles and blood vessels tend to contract when you breastfeed. Hence, the blood loss decreases due to the release of the hormone oxytocin
2. Keep a Watch on Physical Activity
Physical stress and intense activity can increase the bleeding after C-section. Hence, limit any physical work, such as high-intensity exercise, lifting heavy objects, etc., and take rest to recover quickly.
3. Effectively Relieve Pain
You may experience painful contractions during this time. However, avoid taking any medication without your doctor’s approval. Apply a warm compress to your abdomen to relieve pain. If it persists, consult a doctor who can direct you on how to manage pain due to contractions.
Adequate post-natal care is important, not only to make sure that you get back to a normal life as soon as possible, but also because your baby needs your care and complete attention in the first few months of her life. Make sure you take it easy and avoid exerting yourself to avoid complications, and do see a doctor if you notice any signs of ill-health.

The Dark Side Of Kids' Reality TV Shows That Nobody Wants Parents To Know
The glamour world is very enticing, and when it comes to the one created for kids, it seems promising as a talent platform too. But what really goes on behind the camera? Turns out, being part of this glamorous world might have adverse effects on a child's mental, emotional and physical health! So is it really that promising?
Every child has talent, and as parents, we want the world to see this. Some are budding Michael Jacksons and some may be the next Shreya Ghoshals in the making. Some have artistic skills that are unique and some can enact any character given to them. As they say, every diamond needs polishing to shine bright; every little maestro requires proper guidance, training, and the right audience to exhibit their talent. But the point to be noted is – this is what we wish for as parents. Does your little one want this too? What if his wishes and dreams are different from the ones you see for him?
With the growing trend of reality television, there is no dearth of options to help kids showcase their talent to the world. But the reality of reality television is something that doesn't seem as bright as popularly believed. The truth behind the camera is hidden from the rest of the world and may not be as happy as one would think it would be.
Recently, two very acclaimed Hindi movie directors Shoojit Sircar (Director of the movie Piku and Pink) and Amol Gupte (Director of movies like Stanley ka Dabba and Taare Zameen Par) have requested a ban on kid's reality TV and unveiled the dark side of the glittery world. It sparked a huge social media controversy inviting support and criticism on the issue. Here's what went down.
The Reality of Kids’ Reality TV Show – Glittery or Dark?
Recently taking to Twitter, Shoojit Sircar appealed to authorities to put a ban on kids’ reality television. He said that it takes a toll on a child's overall health.
This tweet sparked a debate on which people expressed their opinions on the issue – in favour as well as in opposition. Soon after this, Amol Gupte shared another incident in an interview to a leading newspaper. He revealed what impact these TV shows actually have on children and their lives.
“They are brought from distant towns to Mumbai and huddled into cheap hotels with their parents. Every morning, they have to travel to the TV studio for rehearsals. These kids are wrenched away from all normal activities and are thrown into a single-minded devotion to lending their voices to these reality shows. They are made to shoot for countless hours, sometimes in humid non-airconditioned rooms. It’s barbaric."
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="430"] Source: http://fashionlingua.blogspot.com/2014/05/star-cast-of-film-hawaa-hawaai-visted.html[/caption]
Amol Gupte talked about an incident where a little mishap on the sets left a little boy scarred for life.
"A little, blind boy had made it to the finals of a singing contest. Throughout the day he was rehearsing under gruelling circumstances for his song and finally at 1 am when he was to record, he lost his voice. The child was traumatised for life."
There are several reality TV shows where kids have to face harsh rejection, and not everyone is able to cope with the whole scenario or take it in their stride. This leads to a great mental and emotional trauma which takes a toll on self-confidence. Yes, it is imperative to teach our young ones to face their fears and take something positive from every situation, however doing so on a national television is perhaps not the correct way to do this.
Watch: Children breakdown due to elimination in a reality series
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTWgRxrRr8w
In another tweet, Meghna Prem, the creative director of some leading TV shows that involve children, replied to Sircar's tweet. He shared how he agreed with the negative effects of kids’ reality shows, even though he was from within the fraternity.
Meghna says, “Teenage kids are expected to diet to look a certain way, dress a certain way. Because unlike yesteryears, today when you are selecting a reality star, s/he can’t just be a great singer and not be good looking.”
These days, kids are not only expected to focus on their singing, acting or dancing but are also expected to be 'groomed' and become overall presentable in front of the camera. They are taught to be prepared for being performers and not merely artistes. They are told to impress the crowd and hence act/behave in a certain manner. Many claim that it takes away the innocence of children – and that is just NOT acceptable.
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="430"] Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfTi3cmLzI8[/caption]
Renowned singer Sunidhi Chauhan, who herself made her debut in the music world through reality TV, also commented on the issue. She drew a parallel between the singing reality shows that existed about two decades ago with those that are on air now. She highlighted how they have now become a sole TRP gaining medium.
“There were no back stories shared with the viewers, it was all about the quality of singing. Their singing will tell their stories, if they are good. I would never want my children to go through this. I don’t think it’s required for any reality show to make children do things that only older people would do. They don’t need to mature ahead of their age.”
The Flipside: What Others Say About Reality TV Shows for Kids
There are always two sides to any story, and while these TV shows have their cons there are many who believe they yield good results. The judge of a leading kids’ reality TV show, famous director Himesh Reshammiya, states that children are always given a choice to continue with the show. Co-judge and acclaimed singer Neha Kakkar too expresses her viewpoint by saying-
https://youtu.be/MMz5VvCQygo
"Life is all about competition. When they can handle challenges at this young age then they can surely have a successful career."
Judge and singer Javed Ali gave examples of personalities who started quite early and reached great heights in their career. He said, "Legends like Lata Mangeshkar, Sachin Tendulkar and others started their career at a very young age. If they had not begun from an early age they wouldn't have been here."
Neha Dhupia, actress, also agrees with this sentiment and says, "I feel it (reality shows) gives them confidence, a stage to perform and gives them direction may be 10 years early in their life. If somebody at the age of 9 or 10 realises that they want to become an actor, so there is no harm if there is a platform or stage is provided to them.”
Moreover, these shows are a one way ticket to instant recognition and fame, something that has attracted many Indian parents in the past. As parents, we only want the best for our child, and that's why we want their talent to be recognized and presented in front of a large audience.
What Attracts Kids To These Shows?
The idea of becoming a household name attracts many, and kids are the most easily influenced amongst them all. Besides, these days, reality talent shows have the attraction of one or more celebrity figures. This draws attention of kids and parents alike.
Here are 3 major reasons reality TV shows for kids see such huge participation.
Instant Fame and GratificationReality TV shows come with many perks. From recording your own label to starring in a movie, from travelling to places including foreign locations to winning big bucks or gifts such as a luxurious car - the incentives are many. Children are easily swayed in by such promises and do want to try their luck with these stints.
Parental PressureIt has been observed that many times kids enter these programmes solely to fulfill their parents’ wishes. In fact, many of the times, it is a parent's unfulfilled dream of being a successful actor or a singer that makes them push their children to live 'their' dream. In other cases, the gratification also entices them to enroll their kids in these shows. Kids are burdened to fulfill their parent's long lost dream.
Genuine Interest in Art FormIn other cases, both the parents and the child are genuinely interested in the art form and want to take a step further into the performing arts world. They choose to give reality television a try to use it to further/initiate their career. These shows aid in building right connections that can help them in in the future if they wish to pursue their career in the field.
Effect of Reality TV on Children & What Parents Must Remember
Reality television has a huge impact on a child's life. It not only affects their daily routine but has an effect on their physical and mental health as well. Opinions differ among mothers, celebrities and experts on whether reality TV for kids is good or bad. But one thing is for certain and without doubt.
Before letting/encouraging our children to take part in such shows, it is imperative to assess why we want our child to do this. In case you are convinced it is the right option, do ensure you get your little one proper counselling from a professional before venturing into the medium.
Here are some negative effects of kids’ reality TV and tips parents must keep in mind to counter them:
Physically Challenging
When a child signs up for any show in any field (singing, acting or dancing), they need to be prepared for long and endless hours of rehearsals and adapting to various environmental conditions on the set. This can cause severe exhaustion and drain out all the energy from them. Not every child has the same level of stamina! What can you do: Ensure your child gets proper rest as well as a healthy and nutritious diet that will help them going throughout the day.
Emotionally Draining
It is important to understand that they are still kids at the end of the day, and any criticism or rejection can actually scar them emotionally. Their self-confidence takes a hit and they are apprehensive of interacting with their peers or stepping into the game again. While some children may easily take failure in their stride, it can be a hard battle for the more sensitive kids. What can you do: Judge of singing reality shows and acclaimed playback singer Shaan has suggested some effective solutions to tackle this problem. Shaan says:
“Counselling is a must on a children's show. There should be a counsellor for kids and parents. And the shows should not be extended just because they are doing well. Children shouldn't be kept away from their regular life for a long period. Some of them even continue to play that same image which got formed during the show. At that age, it is not easy to switch on and switch off. They start talking and behaving in the same way, and that doesn't allow them to grow."
Difficulty in Balancing Studies and Shoot LifeThese days, children face tremendous academic pressure. Therefore, when it comes to fulfilling dual duties, one of them takes a hit. We tend to overlook the fact that they are kids and not machines and cannot be expected to showcase exceptional level of efficiency. Balancing school life, homework and shoot schedules will definitely become a challenge for the little ones. What can you do: It is important to help your child through this all without letting their dreams or their academics suffer. Have a word with school authorities to make your child's submissions and lessons a little flexible so that he/she is able to cope and keep pace with the same. As a parent, you can help your children deal with academic stress and juggle both lves.
Note: These tips also apply when you’re enrolling kids for dance and music classes. It is a great idea indeed to help shape their talent, provided your child has the inclination towards learning the said art. However, it must never turn into a compulsion to widen their horizon of talent. If it is draining them out physically and mentally, and they’re ending up struggling with academics, please reconsider.
Reality television can be difficult to handle even for adults, let alone for kids. Keeping a child's innocence intact through it all is a challenge too. However, with proper support and guidance you can shape their dreams into reality. Remember, encourage your child to take part in competitions and shows only if they have a keen interest. Do ensure you take care of them through this journey. They need your support through it all. Let’s also remember that these shows are a part of their life and NOT their life in entirety. Read more

How to Make Your Child Fast Learner to Walk With Advance World!
Hello, all beautiful parents who are reading my article.
Let's talk on how to make your child a fast learner, as many parents have concerns that my child lacks in speech, walking, is not eating proper food, is headstrong etc. I am also a mother of a two and half-year-old boy. I want to share my experience with you all that you can make your child a fast learner with an effortless way, and you don't need to go anywhere for that.
In today's world, we extraordinarily treat our child from the day they are born rather than to treat them in a NORMAL WAY. For example, we make them wear nappy since the first day than to wear cotton Langot and child get habituated with nappy and doesn't get the sensation of wetting and this makes him into a late potty trained baby. I would suggest taking your child into washroom once they started sitting on his own and give habit of doing potty in the toilet only. I am not against of nappy, but you have to be firm regarding the use of it.
For speech part, I must say that mother should start talking with the baby the day the child is born, and maybe after one month, everyone at home should have a conversation with the baby for everything with one language. This would help the baby to understand not only the speech but daily routine things that help your child to achieve milestones on time.
Make a routine schedule for the child, make him sleep early as it helps in brain development. Let's not stick to weaning pattern. Once your baby starts weaning after six months of age, let your child explore all healthy options that help him to set in the world of food. Do your lunch and dinner together with your child once you start weaning. It will help to understand how to eat, what to feed etc.
For the socialising part, we have nuclear family nowadays, and most parents have the same query that my child is not mixing well with others, not sharing anything etc. Let's begin with family members only. Explain the concept of sharing, greeting, helping, by practising among family members. Arrange more get-togethers with your friends and relatives, take your child with you in every function that will improve the child.
Let your child explore all the small things of daily routine and include your child in every activity during the day. Don't worry about the mess. All things help your child to be FAST LEARNER.
Thank you for reading!

Kangatraining - A Postnatal Workout With My Baby
When my twins were born, I had no idea about babywearing though I wanted those armour kind of pouches to put my babies in. For the first two months, I hardly had a chance to step out, except for the doctor visits. And I remember how difficult those were, my hubby and I carrying one child each in our arms. I finally started babywearing and then there was no looking back. There was only looking forward and to what? To an amazing form of postnatal workout and dance - Kangatraining.
Yes, I was lucky that Kangatraining came to India the same year when I needed it. I was never a gym person, but to shed off my post-pregnancy weight, I was ready to even go there. But I had not seen any nearby gyms, aerobics or dance classes having specific postnatal trainers. The only options we have in India are postnatal yoga and more recently, Kangatraining. Kanga classes were a win-win for me because it allowed me to take my baby to the class. Yes, Kangatraining is a workout with your baby.
In my first Kanga class, I learnt a lot about my post-pregnancy body, which no regular trainer was ever going to tell me.
Kangatrainers draw specific attention to core strengthening exercises and rebuilding your abdominal muscles. There are variations in exercises for moms with various postpartum symptoms such as knee pain, back pain, engorged breasts and diastasis. They perform all exercises and forms keeping in mind the weak pelvic floor muscles post delivery. And the babywearing dances are the best and the most enjoyable not just for the mommy but also for the baby.
My boys have really enjoyed dancing to the tunes of Bollywood songs ever since they were 6 months, that is from our first Kangaclass. Now at 13 months, they enjoy listening to not just rhymes but also to Bollymusic that gives me a break and lets me dance and enjoy. I have been regularly kanga-ing and it has really helped me go back to my pre-pregnancy body. I can't be more thankful.
Kangatraining has been a very important part of my post-pregnancy life and motherhood. It has given me my space and my 'me-time' but without ignoring my children. It has helped me regain my confidence by letting me come back to shape and meeting new moms and not just sitting at home has saved me from succumbing to post-pregnancy depression. It is something I would definitely want all my friends and followers to try.

It often becomes difficult for work-at-home moms to survive motherhood and still have a career. Your mind is pulled toward zillion things and it's tough to balance all your priorities. While there's no shortcut or magical formula to become a successful work-at-home mom, with hard work and some wise tips you can have both.
Tips for Work-at-Home Moms to Balance Life
1. Have a Dedicated Place for Your Work
This is probably one of the biggest challenges that hinders productivity and keeps you from meeting deadlines. You need to find a quiet place where you can work peacefully so that you aren't distracted. If there are little hands tugging at your sleeve or calls of 'Mommy!' all the time, you'll never get anything done. Keep your work life and home life separate and you'll be able to achieve more.
2. Schedule a Time
Sticking to a schedule and setting regular office hours will save you from distractions. Even if you can't work for a full eight hours straight, working a couple of hours at a stretch can help you complete things faster. Try to get most of the work completed as early as possible rather than waiting for the last minute. When you're done, you can shut down work and get back to your children and hubby.
3. Dress Up
Yes, this matters. Do away with those PJs that keep you oh-so-comfy and get ready just the way you would if you were heading out to work. This simple act will not only make you feel good but will also get you in the zone. And if wearing a blazer and heels seems like too much work, you can just slip on a blouse and wear a smart skirt. Don't forget to touch up your eyes and apply a dab of lipstick.
4. Set Some Boundaries
Make a mental plan of boundaries for work and play time with the kids if you want to become an ace work-at-home mommy. You'll be able to concentrate on work and your children a lot better. Honour these new limits by making yourself available to take calls during working hours and putting your phone on silent mode when it's mommy time.
5. Hire a Reliable Caretaker
You didn't think you could do everything alone, did you? As much as you'd like to consider yourself a superwoman, you need a helping hand. Even if your child doesn't need day care, you'll probably have to hire a babysitter or a nanny. You could also ask a family member to mind your tot for a few hours too.
6. Dig out Some Vacation Time
If you opt for home-based work, things can turn sour when you realise that it's been ages since you left the house. Take some time out for yourself every once in a while. Plan a short vacation with your children and your partner even if it's just to the neighbouring state. You'll love the change and will come back recharged and raring to go.Supermoms don't exist. There are just ordinary moms doing some super-cool juggling between work and keeping house. Learn how to be a work-at-home mom who's busy making a career while being part of the early years of her children's lives. You can have the best of both worlds! Read more

Getting Pregnant With Health Issues - a Personal Analogue
After marriage, my partner and I decided to think about the child after two years, but life didn't go the way we always wanted. So, after a year, both families started talking about me getting pregnant, and as my In-laws are traditionally attached to our culture, there are not aware of family planning. They started talking about visiting doctors, taking help of various religious prayers, etc., when we decided to get pregnant. I was also ready by this time as it was over a year for our marriage, but there were a lot of thoughts in my mind that were rushing into me as soon as we decided to get pregnant.
In the past, I have had Respiratory issues (Asthama) and thyroid since my childhood. My respiratory problem is an inherited condition. I was diagnosed with PCOD after marriage which I resolved within a month or two with the help of medication and exercise, but my thoughts were still stuck. It was not easy for me to overcome all of these conditions and move forward. After a month of planning, I tested for pregnancy within two days after I missed my periods which came negative. After the test, the next day, my periods were on. This disappointment was the first step toward depression, thinking that this was because of my health issues.
Next month, after I completed my menstrual cycle, we started to browse and try all the favorable positions for intercourse that help to get pregnant, but in my mind, I was restless, questioning whether this time it would work out or not. After missing 15 days from the menstrual date, I was hoping to get a positive test. Still, to my surprise, my periods were on before I would do a pregnancy test, second disappointment let my hopes down, and here I was convincing myself that it was my fault and I was the reason for not getting pregnant.
In the third month, I started to visit doctors; Allopathy and Ayurvedic are the significant branches I sought help. After trying for a month of allopathy treatment and getting a negative result, I moved to ayurvedic medicine and was again disappointed with the negative test. After continuous negative tests, I didn't want to give it a try again.
I left everything, thinking about getting pregnant, consulting a doctor, and various other options.
I started focusing on my work and keeping myself busy with household chores. I was so involved in distracting myself that I didn't even realize it was past two months for my menstrual cycle; suddenly, I started feeling dizzy. However, I still didn't want to think about pregnancy again, so I neglected all the symptoms and continued with the chores and work, making me weaker day by day.
One day I realized I missed my periods, and I was having all the same symptoms as PCOD. In desperation, I consulted my old doctor, who suggested I do an ultrasound before starting medications. My ultrasound scan was scheduled for the next day morning; in the meantime, I was hormonally very imbalanced all my emotions were bursting out. My waiting time was longer than expected the next day, and I was afraid to face the situation. With all the courage I was able to gather, I took the step forward lay on the bed for an ultrasound.
I gave a history of my PCOD and started talking about how I overcame it. With the doctor's expressions, I was getting worried because she was not speaking a word out.
After five minutes, she asked:
When were your last periods? Trying to recall my date, I said two months back.
Her next question was, how long are you married?
With much confusion, I said a year.
She started congratulating me and said, you are five weeks pregnant. :)
In shock, not expecting this, I was lying there; no one was with me; I went along for the test because I didn't want anyone to be worried.
Confused, I signed the paper they gave me, took the reports, went into the cab, headed to the clinic. Sitting in front of my doctor, I handed over the news, and she opened it and congratulated me. Still not believing, I burst out in cry with happy tears.
There I stood with the happiest moment of Our life, keeping aside all the confusion, questions only thing that was in my mind was - Whom to tell first?

Q. My daughter (9months old) is not at all willing to drink aptamil and breast milk I am getting only 100 ml per day now. I have tried adding jaggery powder in aptamil but still she is not at all willing to drink.I tried to feed her with aptamil midnight when she was in deep sleep but still she woke up and started crying. I am not able to find any solution for this. Its been 2 days that I have started trying aptamil. So I will continue to try for another week and if she still doesn't drink can you suggest what can be done

A. For yourself I would recommend you Shatavari powder three times in the day to increase your lactation other than that since your child is six months complete you can give Amul Taaza milk to your child that is easier for the childhood digest and flavour is also good even if you want you can add some dry fruit powder saffron or turmeric for flavour change that’s also a good option to try these alternative
