Food Chart for 9 Month Old Baby with Complete Schedule and Guide
Food chart for a 9-month-old baby is usually considered to be restricted to those boring options. By this time, you and your baby are tired of the fussy feeding time and teething issues. So now, you can put all those thoughts to an end with this food chart for your 9-month baby.
Meal Plan
At this stage, your baby is comfortable with semi-solids and has started a proper 3 meals diet. It can’t be forgotten that breastfeed or formula feed is equally important to provide essential nutrients to your baby for the initial 1st year, as they play an important role in this food chart for a 9-month-old baby. Apart from this, creating an interest in the food chart you prepare is also very important. Else, it will be a boring activity for your baby rather than an enjoyable meal time.
Variety
In this food chart for 9 months old baby, we are going to concentrate on the variety of foods you can feed your 9 months old. Variety plays a major role in any food chart. So to begin with, you need to keep in mind not to repeat the fruits and vegetables over and over in a week. Monotony in a food chart for your 9-month-old baby will result in your baby neglecting food. Even when you notice your baby likes something, try not to repeat it else your little one will stop eating it completely.
Small quantities with Frequent Intervals
Food chart for your 9-month-old completely relies on how well you fit in different foods in it. If you feed large quantities, it won’t be liked by your 9-month-old baby. You should always aim for feeding less however, at regular intervals. It will ensure your baby gets all the essential nutrients at frequent intervals.
Meal Time = Fun time
Always keep in mind that food chart for a 9-month-old baby won’t be effective until you put in additional efforts. You need to be creative during mealtime. Mealtime should be a fun activity where you not only feed your baby but also bond with your little one. Food chart for 9-month-old must include storytelling with proper expressions and innovative games. The best way to make mealtime fun will be to take your child to a garden, or you can lay a mat on the floor in the living room with toys laid around and then feed your little one.
No to Purees
There is a stage for pureed meals, however, when making a food chart for a 9-month-old baby, purees is a big No. Your baby now has teeth and it’s best to give him some work and practice chewing. However, this doesn’t mean that you cannot use puree at all. Foods like chapattis can be blended with pulses so that they are easy to chew.
Popsicle Treat
If your 9-month-old is teething, it’s important to include something to soothe his sore gums. So, in this food chart for your 9-month-old baby, add some homemade popsicles. All you have to do is make a puree of the seasonal fruits and turn them into popsicles. You may also express breast milk and turn it into popsicles which will work as an amazing natural healer.

Why We Should Bother to Mind Our Language Around Children
For most children, especially toddlers, parents' words are as good as the universal truth. Although, many times, parents may not realise that during an ongoing and unbearable tantrum, their child registers every word that their parent utters; intentionally and unintentionally. Not only those addressed to the child, but also those that are spoken around her. The power of parents' words over their children is often underestimated. That said, I make a conscious effort not to say, in fact, even mean the following things in front of my daughters :
1. "That person is 'ugly/ mean/ strange..."
As human beings, we never miss an opportunity to attach adjectives to people, known and unknown alike. But little do we realise that such words become lens through which our children see those people or those kind of people. In the long run, it might lead to their unwillingness or failure to analyse why 'good' people may behave 'badly' in some situations. They might develop a bias towards those around them, sometimes even close family members, as a result of our opinions. As difficult as it may sound, my hubby and I make it a point not to use any 'bad labels' while talking about other people when kids are around. In fact, better to not discuss people at all; with them and around them.
2. "You cannot do this.."
All of us have limitations, of course. Physical, mental or emotional. Parents are the best identifiers of limitations in their children, which is an obvious cause of concern for them. No problem so far, because limitations can be overcome. But not when we make it a point to constantly remind little ones about it out of our own worries and fears. I try my best to replace 'You cannot do.. ' with 'Lets try it this way..' when I intend caution or 'The other thing also looks interesting' when I think the act is out of reach for the time being.
3. "Your sister/brother is better than you in.."
Many times, the cause of sibling rivalry lies with the way parents treat their children when they are with their siblings and when they are on their own. Quoting examples of their sister or brother to inculcate good habits in a child is an inevitable and also effective way. But going overboard with it might lead to issues amongst them. I ask my younger one to brush her teeth or finish her vegetables like her big sister does. But I refrain from commenting on their individual traits and preferences that are a part of their different personalities to avoid any kind of comparison on that front.
4. "Would you do it for me when I am old like Grandma.."
Our children are not to be brought up as caregivers for old age. I simply do not agree with those who build expectations about children being responsible for their parents at some point in life. If it has been done right all along, they would be around whenever parents need them without any favours asked or given. To mentally burden them, at any age, is just not my way.
5. "I want you to become a doctor/ engineer/ dancer/ puppet!"
Bringing a person into the world certainly bestows on us the responsibility of making him or her self sufficient. But in no way does it grant us the authority to dictate what meaning they desire to add to their lives. Of course, parents' mentorship is indispensable, but it should not be an imposition.
Most of the time, children are like their favourite toy, moulding clay. Every word we speak to them shapes them in a different manner altogether. Moreover, children are like under cover agents who always overhear adults even though they pretend they do not. Hence, every word we s

peak around them, too, has influences we do not even realise. I believe a very big challenge that appears before every person after becoming a parent is to mind his or her words because someone in the house is always listening!

Easy Travel Secrets for a Working Mommy!
Being a working mommy on the move is no mean task. Between preparing feeds and bathing your kiddo, you're packing your stuff and making tickets too. These proven travel tips for working mothers help you remain on top of all baby-tasks, even when you're elsewhere.
Working mommies living their lives out of a suitcase have a lot to take care of, right? If you're in the same boat and miss your baby after checking into your hotel room, then these travel tips will come to your aid. These tips help in strategising your frequent flyer status and make it fall in line with your baby's vaccination dates and give you the power to remote control situations back home- all this while you're on the go. Find out how busy moms like you are managing the crib and outdoor work too!
Smart and Effective Travel Tips for Working Mothers
1. Ensure daddy gets help
Once you know that you need to fly for a weeklong trip in two days, get into action ASAP. As daddy will be taking care of kiddos back home, you need to put some reliable support systems in place. For instance, your hubby would love to have your neighbour or friend over with the kids for a few hours for those well-deserved break with his pub pals. Your sister may volunteer to ferry your kids to school; her children study there too. Just ask around, you'll get help!
2. Plan Daily Wardrobes
One of the most effective tips for working moms who travel is linked to setting up hubby and baby clothes on hangers, for each day you're away. So, if your five-year-old loves wearing the same set of clothes day in and day out or if your hubby is totally fashion-challenged, then this way they’ll be best guided forward. Your man will love to wear the clothes picked by you, especially if he finds small love notes hidden beneath the collar (in the pocket too). Also, your kid will not suffer the bad dressing choices of his daddy at school. Apologies if you have a fashionista hubby to boast of. Okay, such men exist too!
3. Skype or Viber?
An essential travel tip for a mom is incomplete without the mention of modern day connectivity strategies such as Whatsapp, Skype, Facebook or Viber. So while you travel, all you need to do is go online and log into your app to catch a glimpse of your cherub. This way, you'll sleep well after a long day at work too.
4. Here’s Today’s Geography Lesson
Turn your work-time travels into mom geography lessons. How? Spend quality time with your kids and a map before your trip. Tell them where all you'll be going. Drop daily postcards with little questions on them and ask them to have their answers ready when you return. In other words, make your little ones “follow along” your trip.
Stay connected and also in control of your home and children even when you're away with these smart travel tips for the moms-on-the-go. Feel secure and confident when you're away with these tips and suggestions. Read more
