10 Things That You Should Know About a Capricorn Child
Every sun sign has a set of personality traits. If you are fascinated by astrology and often seek guidance through this medium, why limit it only to the grown-ups? Imagine how easy it would be to deal with babies if you’d know their personality traits. The trick to gauge your child’s personality can make it so easy to deal with unwanted situations, or avoid them altogether!
If your child is born between December 21 and January 21, she/he belongs to the tenth zodiac sign, Capricorn. Don’t be fooled by the slightly ferocious stature of the horned goat that represents this sun sign; Capricorns, in fact, are known for being extremely grounded, sensitive and at the same time, confident, and intelligent. Read on to know some more personality traits of Capricorn babies.
Personality Traits of a Capricorn Child
Curiosity killed the cat, but not a Capricorn child! That’s because Capricorn babies are curious by nature and intelligent too. Here are some more personality traits a Capricorn child is most likely to possess.
1. She/He Is Excellent at Adapting
A Capricorn child will adapt to most situations you’d think he wouldn’t like. That’s a great quality because they might just take some pressure off of you by adapting to the most difficult things. You will probably have no trouble weaning them on to solid foods or getting them used to certain foods at all. Table manners, potty training, and everything else will seem like a piece of cake if you have a Capricorn child. Likewise, schooling, homework and building good habits also won’t be any trouble for you. Of course, children being themselves, they won’t accept everything at the first go, but a Capricorn child’s personality is such that they will adapt to anything new in no time at all!
2. They Are Often Mistaken As the Underdogs
Capricorn babies can surprise everyone by accomplishing something that was thought to be out of their league. That’s because they never give up. They find it easy to be persistent and often chase their goals until they achieve it. What interests them is always close to them, and they are quite stubborn about it too. So, no compromises there. They are not preachers per se, but they do stick to their principles and seldom go against them. This brings us to another trait a Capricorn child usually has.
3. She/He Is Ambitious
The never-give-up attitude that Capricorn babies have makes them very ambitious, especially if it concerns their favourite things or their closest dreams. It will be very difficult for you to divert them or change their mind. Also, only the closest of people will know what they are ambitious about. Their persistence and focus, as mentioned early, can help them go to any limits to achieve their goals.
4. She/He Is an Old Soul
The reason why a Capricorn child is considered an old soul is because she/he is often quiet, throws no tantrums and comes across as a mature and well-behaved child. The tiny tots belonging to this sun sign can be complete angels when it comes to changing diapers, feeding and even while training them during their growth years. Their calm nature will put anyone at ease. Also, when life throws something unpredictable at them, they are the first ones to accept and adapt.
5. They Are Perfectionists
Children belonging to this sun sign like keeping their things perfect. Their homework will always be done, their books will be well maintained, their handwriting will be perfect, and if they are old enough, their rooms will also be clean and uncluttered. Are you tempted to take advantage of this situation? Well, make sure you do it smartly, or even better, not do it all, because a Capricorn child can also smell your intentions!
6. She/He Is Quite Predictable
Once you know how your Capricorn child deals with certain things, it will become quite easy for you to predict his/her next move. This will ring true for those parents who have won their child’s trust and confidence. Otherwise, it is challenging to gauge what’s going on in their heads.
7. They Are Attention Seekers
Just like every other child, Capricorn babies want to be loved too. They are often perceived as being needy and would do anything to grab your attention. If your personalities do not match, it can be quite difficult to give the time they demand. Thus, setting expectations about how much attention is enough will take some time and effort.
8. They Are Quite Self-Sufficient
If you have a Capricorn child, you will thank your stars one day, because as much as a Capricorn child is adaptable, she/he is quite self-sufficient too. Of course, no child learns to be self-sufficient in the womb; you will have to teach them slowly and steadily. But, with a Capricorn child, you’ll be surprised by how quickly your child picks up certain things. Teach them to make their own bed, do their homework, sort their toys and keep them away after playing or even how to make a sandwich; they will pick it up and will require very few reminders.
9. She/He Can Come Across As a Loner
A Capricorn child doesn’t make contact with strangers easily. She/he will be seen doing things all by herself/himself. Because of this trait, a Capricorn child can come across as a loner. They would have to be encouraged to join group activities, and they can be great friends too, but only with the people they trust. If you want them to open their hearts, you really have to win their trust. A Capricorn child often comes across as shy and timid, but that’s not how she/he is on the inside. You’d see them avoiding every noisy gathering or event, or staying in a corner all by themselves because, by nature, they love quiet and peace.
10. They Make for Good Leaders
Personality traits like sensitivity, intelligence, curiosity, self-sufficiency and adaptability can help Capricorn babies become great leaders. They can also become good advisers and manage tricky situations. Your child may have these qualities very early in life and begin demonstrating them at school. She/he could nominate himself and perform exceptionally as the monitor or a group leader.
Tips on Raising a Capricorn Child
Now that you have understood the personality traits that most Capricorn babies posses, here are some tips that will help you raise a Capricorn child.
Appreciate and praise them only for the right things they do. They are attention seekers and can tend to be self-absorbed too. Its always better to train them to be okay when there’s nobody to give them the attention they crave.
Their introvert nature could affect their self-esteem. As a parent, you need to help build your Capricorn child’s confidence, which will help them immensely in their life.
Although Capricorns are independent and self-sufficient by nature, parental guidance is much required to tell them the difference between good and bad. Always ensure you encourage them to do the right thing.
Be sensitive towards the dreams and goals of a Capricorn child as they are very close to his/her heart.
Fuel their intelligence. Give them tasks that make them think and find a solution. This will increase their confidence and help them become independent early on.
Encourage them to lead because a large part of their personality makes them want to stay alone. It might take some time for them to understand that a true leader walks with the team and never alone.
These traits are some of the most common traits observed in Capricorn babies. A lot of children belonging to this earth sign do not show similar personalities. Nonetheless, this article should help you identify some traits that your Capricorn child has and even deal with them. Read more

10 Things to Wear While Practising Yoga
A 5,000-year-old ancient Indian practice, yoga has become popular over the years because of its unbelievably true benefits. Doing a set of simple asanas is said to increase flexibility, strengthen muscles and rejuvenate the nervous system. Not only that- a recent study has found that yoga has great potential for providing permanent relief from obesity, diabetes, mental stress and hypertension. If you’ve made up your mind to take up this form of exercise, why not convince your partner to try couple yoga? The first question that might pop into your head would be what to wear during a yoga session. We asked a few experts on the mat, and here’s what they told us.
What to Wear before Stepping onto the Mat
For maximum benefits of the various asanas, yoga should be done first thing in the morning, or if you don’t get time, around sunset. But before starting off, make sure both of you have the recommended clothing on.
For Women:
1. Sports Bra
Well, not every regular bra is comfortable enough for doing exercises and twisting your body this way and that. So, moms, especially those with a broad bust, should invest in a good quality sports bra. These bras hold your assets in place and provide the desired support while you perform yoga. If you’re attending classes, sports bras also prevent people from seeing what they shouldn’t see.
2. Tank Top
Over the sports bra, you can choose to wear a tank top for unrestricted arm movement. Avoid loose tank tops as they may move up and expose your belly. As yoga involves upside down and angled movement, they may also obstruct your vision. If you’re not very fond of tight clothing, you can go for a tank top that is stretchable, allows you to breathe and also stays in place.
3. Long Sleeve Tops
If you don’t wish to show a lot of skin, you can wear a fitted long sleeve top over the tank top. Again, experts advise not to go for loose tops that move around a lot. You can choose a cotton or wool top with a round neckline for proper coverage during classes.
4. Tights
Tights made of stretchable and sweat-absorbent material are essential for doing yoga. That’s because such bottomwear allows you to move your legs easily and also prevents sweat patches. When it comes to length, you can wear either knee-length or full-length tights, depending on your preference.
5. Accessories
While it’s best to remove dangly and chunky jewellery before stepping onto the mat, you can go for studs and a simple elastic bracelet that suits your style. If you own a fitness tracker or smartwatch, you can slip that on too. Just be sure to keep it on silent so that it doesn’t divert your focus. To prevent your hair from falling over your eyes, you can tie it in a bun or ponytail.
6. Socks
Yoga is usually done barefoot, so you’ll be asked to leave your shoes outside the class before entering. However, some classes might allow you to keep your socks on, especially if the weather is chilly. If you’re doing the yoga asanas at home, you can cover your feet for as long as you want!
For Men:
1. Sweat-absorbent Tee
Your hubby can go for a sweat-absorbent tee easily available in the market and also online. These are made to be form-fitting, allowing men to show off their abs and biceps. We’re sure that one look is all you’ll need to fall in love with him again!
2. Regular T-shirt
In place of a sweat-absorbent tee, your partner can also go for a normal loose T-shirt. To keep it from moving, he can tuck into his bottomwear. This takes us to the next piece of yoga clothing.
3. Gym Shorts
Well-fitting underwear is a must for men who practise yoga. Over these, your man can choose to wear gym shorts, ensuring that they are neither too loose nor too tight. The ones that end mid-thigh will be perfect for doing yoga, both at home and in a class.
4. Yoga Pants
If your hubby doesn’t like the idea of wearing shorts, yoga pants are another good option. These are similar to tights, the only difference being that they’re made for men. There are also multiple variants available, so he can go for one with an elastic waistband or tieable cords.
Tips for Choosing the Right Yoga Clothing
Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
Loose or tight, the right clothing will allow you to breathe and move your limbs freely.
If you sweat more than others, avoid wearing cotton as it weighs you down when it absorbs moisture. Instead, go for spandex or nylon.
If you already have the clothing mentioned above, there’s absolutely no need to spend on buying new yoga clothing.
Many asanas involve lifting your leg up in the air, so keep these in mind when choosing what to wear.
Lightweight, V-neck and light-coloured bras aren’t an ideal choice if you want to start yoga at a class.
Avoid light-coloured tights as they can become see-through if you sweat.
Socks may not remain steady on slippery mats, so take a call about whether to keep them on or not.
Thick-material tops and bottoms are best avoided.
Choosing the right clothing for yoga is essential as it influences how well you’re able to do the asanas. You don’t necessarily need yoga classes and any special type of clothing; in that manner, yoga costs “nothing”. That’s another great reason, apart from the immense health benefits of course, to take up yoga as a couple and also teach your child some easy-to-do asanas.

This Mom Shows How to CREATE More Space in Your Cupboard in Only 8 Steps!
Closet full of clothes but always cribbing about how you have nothing to wear? Is there never any space in your wardrobe no matter how tidy you try to keep it? Well, the problem perhaps lies in the clutter!
Take a closer look at your closet and you will find that you perhaps have not worn that jeans in ages but it is lying in a corner. Same goes for that kurti you thought you will wear once you lose a little weight and those running shoes that are just collecting dust all over. A cluttered environment attracts negative energy, brings a sense of restlessness, and is certainly not soothing to your eyes. Whether or not you are organized as a person, decluttering your wardrobe is always a good idea. It brings a different sense of calmness and is also a step towards an organized and balanced way of living.
Marie Kondo, a mother and Japan's renowned organizing consultant, introduced the world to the now famous 'KonMari' or 'Kondo' method of organization. It has changed many lives - and we are not kidding! With her New York Times bestselling guidebook ‘The Life- changing Magic of Tidying Up’, she has transformed the lives of many. Her idea of organizing isn't only restricted to your wardrobe, but goes much beyond to your kitchen, living room and even office.
What is The KonMari Method
The KonMari or popularly known as Kondo method of decluttering thrives on the idea of one time dramatic transformative measures undertaken to be completed methodically over 6 months. Hence, it isn't an ongoing battle against clutter. It is process wherein whatever does not 'spark joy' is supposed to be touched, thanked and thereafter sent away to someone who may find joy from it.
Her method is opposed by some, however appreciated by many. Many clients claim this to be life-changing. What makes her method extremely efficient is that she doesn't tackle this process room by room but belongings by subject. Instead of focusing on what one needs to get rid of, the focus should more be on what needs to be kept.
Following are 8 quick ways that will help you learn the art of de-cluttering your cupboard and make space for the things that you actually do require. Trust us, this will actually create space in your cupboard, space you never knew existed!
1. Reduce The Number of Clothes in Your Closet
It's always a good idea to begin by evaluating what you TRULY need and what you don't. If you have kept your clothes in a hope to wear them or just because of the value they hold but you cannot make use of them any longer, it's important you let them go. Ask yourself, 'Does this piece of clothing spark a joy in my life?' If the answer is no, pack them in big back and let them go. Rule: Your closet should have enough room for two people's clothing!
2. As Far As Possible, Fold Your Clothes
After you've decided what stays and what goes, you need to start stocking them in your closet. Kondo believes that clothes stay better and 'happier' when you fold and stack them in your shelves.
3. Follow The Kondo Method of Folding
Kondo insists on following the following guideline for folding your clothes, especially your pants. This method will not only make your clothes more compact, but provide more space and will look better organized and neat.
Fold your pants in half
Fold your pants in half again
Fold your pants in thirds, starting with the waistband
Finish by folding the other third on top
4. Place and Store Belongings Vertically
The vertical stacking method is very core to KonMari method. Keeping clothes in a pile is not advisable and therefore stacking them in an order makes more sense. This method can also be adapted for drawers as it enables you to have an overall view of everything and you wouldn’t need to start hunting for that blue collar shirt in a pile!
5. Colour Coordination Always Makes Life Easier
While stacking your clothes, arrange them in a colour coded manner. This makes the process simpler and your life easier. This way you can always find all your black clothes ready when you need to attend an all-black theme party. Besides, the clothes look better organized.
6. Store The Small Belongings in An Organized Manner
Small items present in your closet (like jewellery) need not be scattered all over the place. It is advisable to always collect them and store them in small containers and boxes. Besides, they should always be kept handy for future use.
7. Smaller Garments Need Folding Too
If you thought Kondo's method of folding was only for the T-shirts and pants, well, here's some news for you. She is a huge fan of folding small items like socks and stockings too! Even the smallest things take up space in your closet and therefore folding/rolling them appropriately matters a lot.
8. Pay Attention to Your Toiletries Cupboards as Well
According to this method, it is important to remove the 'unwanted' toiletries and only keep the essentials that you may actually make use of. Once that has been decided, store these in small containers. Kondo also suggests wiping off these products after use and keep them out of sight until their next use.
Yes, many things do hold an emotional value for us; however, purging is an essential process to lead a more organized life. Marie Kondo's method is a tried and tested guide to a 'spacious' life. We are defnitely going to try it out this weekend!

My success story dealing with inadequate breast milk supply as a new mom
Hearing from many new mom's about lack of/ inadequate milk production in mother's and knowing the importance not breast feeding the baby for atleast 6 months ,as a new mom I had many negative thoughts going on in my mind....The moment my little angel got to my arms she learned her first feeding lesson with a lightning speed and she used to latch on for hours which made me think that she is getting enough feed....4 days passed on 5 the of birth my baby's skin turned yellow...concerned we contacted the doctor who confirmed with a blood test that she is suffering from jaundice (which is very common in babies these days in mewborns )and one of the reasons is inadequate milk ( as my baby's stomach was completely flat as doctor observed )....
We are adviced to leave her under blue Ray's to get the jaundice down....it just melted down my heart seeing her alone in the incubator box for hours....the thing that hurt me more is that I am not able produce enough milk for my baby which is one of the reasons for her suffering...I just hated myself and cried so much....with suggestion of doctor i used tablets for myself ( for milk production) and used to feed my baby with both my mlik as well as powder milk....though she recovered in a day and was doing well...I was feeling bad deep inside and wishing to give enough of mothers feed for my baby....
As days passed ( within 15 days) my baby started refusing to take powder milk which made me understand and get relieved that she is able to get enough feed from me ( I was using tablets forilk production by then) slowly I stopped tablets with suggestion from my friends around I started taking milk thrice a day along with 4 slices of bread per each glass of milk...this worked like a miracle for me....
The below helped me a lot to increase milk production naturally....
1.Replacing rice with millets and brown rice
2. Including veggies like carrots, beans, Spinach, raw papaya in my diet
3. Including chapatis more than 4 times a week ( as I am South Indian and am more inclined or used to rice)
4. Adding sesame seeds, garlic, fennel seeds, fenu geek seeds, oats
Above all keeping in my mind that I have to feed my baby I used to take food in more quantity than usual which helped me very well, infact the more quantity I took the more I saw increase in milk production....still I am following the same and I am doing good now...
As new mom's we have lots of questions and concerns....if there are any other reasons that are out of our hands there is no harm in going for formula milk but I just want to convey that waiting with patience and following a proper diet would definitely help us and thus our baby....
Hope this would help new mom's around.....just cheerup and enjoy every moment of being a mom..
The more we smile the more we see it's reflection in our littles ones..... Read more

Dealing Reflux Problem in Babies - Please Do Not Panic Rather Be Alert
My daughter was just 16 days old, when one evening she started to cry and that was non stop. Like every new mother I thought she was hungry and started feeding her. But she was refusing to feed. I could not understand what was wrong. It was evening 8 pm. I called up my husband and asked him to rush home. Meanwhile my daughter was crying without stopping and my heart started to beat faster. it was almost 3 hrs that she was continuously crying. I kept on trying to feed her thinking that may be her stomach was not full. And then all of a sudden she vomited all the milk and also milk started to come out of her nose. We got horrified and rushed to the hospital. The emergency immediately got her admitted. The Paediatrician called us inside the cabin and said " Please do not worry. We have kept her under observation. We shall have her chest X-Ray done and let you know".
I stayed at the hospital entire night with my husband. I was just not ready to leave my princess alone. Morning her X Ray was done and the doctor called us once she had the report. She said " Please be seated and be calm. Your daughter is facing Re flux problem. Re flux is a syndrome where babies tend to vomit whenever they are fed. So, you need to take some precautions for her. Since the milk has spread in the lungs, so there is a minor infection. That shall go in 2-3 days.
a. Give her burp whenever she takes her feed.
b. Never lie her straight on the bed.
c. You should always keep her at a height of 45 degrees, whether sleeping or feeding. You can buy her a car cot and she can sleep very well on that.
I asked her " But till when shall it continue??"
"With passing age this shall disappear" replied the doctor.
We brought her back home after two days and planned to go to my native for my maternity leave. Since I was very scared and was in panic, my husband decided to take me and our daughter to my native town.
At my native we consulted another doctor. He said " You need to monitor your child. If she keeps losing weight then she is definitely suffering from Reflux problem, and if she is not then it is not reflux."
And started the journey of 45 degrees..whether it was me or any one from my family..we ensured that my daughter was at 45 degrees only..not even 45.5 degrees. Giving her burp was extremely important. Even carrying her in my arms, I used to keep her at 45 degrees. This continued for 6 months and we visited the doctor. She had gained weight..though not much but yes there was again. I felt relaxed and on the advice of the doctor started to lie her on the bed with the help of a pillow.
I still cannot forget those two days of my daughter's stay at hospital. But sooner the ailment is diagnosed, precautions can be taken.
