Tips for Choosing a Meaningful Muslim Name for Your Baby Boy
In traditional Muslim families, babies are given a name on the seventh day of their birth. Many Muslims choose Arabic names for their babies. Here is what you should keep in mind while choosing a name for your baby.
Opt for a boy's name that has the prefix ‘Abd’ to indicate servitude to god.
Choose a name after Prophets and righteous men.
The name you choose should not promote vanity and pompousness.
Avoid choosing names that bear connotation to bad omens or names that belong to immoral people.
It is important for Muslims to take into consideration the restrictions and suggestions made by eminent scholars before they pick a name for their child.

Baby's First Haircut - Tips to Make it Easy and Fun
Each baby is different, even to the same parents. Parents with more than one child will tell you that raising a baby is different each time and that every child has its own idiosyncrasies and growth patterns. It is common for parents to feel apprehensive about their suitability to raise a baby, even if this is not the first child they have. One such landmark moment in the life of the child and the parents is its first haircut.
Babies can be born with a head full of hair, or as bald as a ball- every child is different. So the first haircut of the child is a big deal, even if your child may not be too enthusiastic about the idea of it. In this article, let us take a look at a few tips which can help make the process a little easier to carry out and easier for your child to get through.
What is the Right Age for the First Haircut of the Baby?
There is no specific best time for baby’s first haircut; it all varies from child to child. You will need to take him to the salon when the hair starts to get into his eyes and starts to irritate him often. The growth rate of the hair is not uniform, so the only experience can tell you when you need to take him to the salon. Also, keep in mind that trimming can sometimes make the hair look very thick and full.
Preparations Before your Child’s First Haircut
A newborn baby's first haircut is all about making the child as comfortable as possible while a stranger hovers over him with a pair of scissors. So, here are a few tips which can help you be prepared for the landmark event.
Take a change of clothes with you. The haircut is going to be a messy process, and your child is sure to wiggle around at least a little bit. You do not want to have hair inside his clothes once the cutting is done- it will only make him irritable and cranky for the rest of the day. Therefore, take a change of clothes with you.
Also, take a familiar toy with you. Your child is bound to be nervous, especially as strangers start to hover around him looking sinister. A familiar toy, like a pacifier, can greatly calm him down at this time. Also, make sure the toys also serve the purpose of distracting him from the cutting process.
Snacks are another way to keep your toddler busy while his hair is being cut. Snacks not only keep him engaged but also makes him feel more comfortable with the whole thing. However, do not take anything sticky to the salon.
Try to get him to be more comfortable about hair cutting by mimicking the actions during playtime or bath time.
Tips to Keep in Mind during the Haircut
There are many things that you can do to ensure that the child is at ease with the trip to the salon. These also help the stylist get through her job without any difficulties.
1. Keep Your Child Comfy
This should be your priority always, even in the hair salon. Some children may refuse to wear the cape for the haircut- if that is the case, you should simply scrap it. Do whatever you can to make your child as comfortable as possible, so that the first hair cutting ceremony progresses without a hitch.
2. Hold Him
For some children, hair cutting can be a traumatic experience. In such situations, no amount of toys or snacks can keep your child engaged- only you can. So ask the stylist if it is possible for you to hold him while he is getting his hair cut so that he feels more at ease with the process.
3. No Force
It is common for children to be wriggly or squirmy, in the salon. This is because your child does not feel safe with the surroundings, so he is trying to make his discomfort apparent to you. In such situations, you should not react by trying to hold him down with even more strength. This not only leads to a heightened sense of resistance but is also potentially dangerous. A sudden jerk or a swift moment when you have let your guard down can result in cuts and bruises- therefore, try to make your child as comfortable as possible.
4. Breaks
Again, your focus should not be on getting through with the process as quickly as possible. You should make sure that your child does not feel too uncomfortable with the whole thing, so taking a few breaks in between may be required. You can simply hold him during this time so that he calms down and stops panicking.
5. Family
A few more known faces around the toddler will only make him more comfortable with the surroundings. Therefore, you can try to bring along someone, like his sibling or grandparents to keep him distracted while his hair is being cut.
6. Have them Watch You Get a Cut
You can start making them more comfortable about visits to the salon by taking them along whenever you have to style your hair. This also works if his older sibling is the one getting the haircut. This might make them more comfortable about going to the salon, and your child may even be looking forward to her turn on the high chair!
7. No Mirrors
Another important thing to remember is that you do not want your child to be facing the mirror for his first haircut. Kids mostly freak out when they see a stranger hovering over their head snipping hair, so try and turn the chair so that your child is facing you the entire time. This can also make him more comfortable with the haircut.
Getting a haircut is a big deal for your child, so try and make him as comfortable as possible when you visit the salon. You can also try getting him his own barber kit so that he grows used to the hair-styling aspect of it.

My personal experience of breastfeeding after C- section- six months journey
Six months back I gave birth to a baby girl and it was c- section. Upto 1.5 months I was partially breastfeeding as I was low on breastfeed.

But suddenly my baby refused to take formula milk. After trying so many things like changing of bottles , milk brand I was left with no option but to give regular breastfeed.
Initially I felt immense pain when she latched because of low milk production.
I discussed this with my mother in law and she suggested me to take Fenugreek seed water and believe me it worked wonders for me.
With this I did few changes in my lifestyle
Healthy diet
Dalia with milk
Dalia and moong dal khichdi
Dry fruits laddo
Toor dal
Milk twice a day
Lots of water
I tried to add Fenugreek in my food whereever possible .
Stay positive and stress free
It plays an important role in enhancing milk production . I Spent quality time with my newborn and whenever I was in stress which is very common after delivery I used to talk to my husband and family.
Breastfeed as often as possible
I feed whenever my baby was hungry. It gave signal to body to produced more milk it took time but I didn't give up and gradually I noticed that my body started to produce more milk.
Take good sleep
I know as a mother its tough to take good sleep. But good sleep help in lowering stress level and stress free mind gives signal to body to produce milk. I took nap whenever my baby slept.
Me time
I tried to take out few minutes for me and at that time I used to listen some good music or watched good web series or talked to my besties believe me it really help my mind and body to calm down and I felt energetic.
No to junk
Its been 6 months I have delivered a baby till now I didn't eat junk. What we eat through milk it goes to our baby so I tried to stay away from junk instead I opted for heathy options. Below are few of them
Roasted makhana
Roasted peanut( take in moderate quantity it might cause gastric issue)
Puffed rice with currypatta seasoning
Poha
Cheese sandwich with lots of vegeies etc
Now I am happy breastfeeding mom
Hope this post helps you mommies. Read more

9 Beautiful Tattoo Ideas for Moms To Permanently Ink Your Love For Your Child
There are some things that never change in life – your love for your child is one of them. So why not turn your love for your child into a tattoo? Here are some unique tattoo ideas for moms.
Tattoos are perhaps the only worldly thing that you can actually take with you to your deathbed. They are permanent, eternal, and hence used by many as a form of individualism and expression. Getting a permanent tattoo can be a big concern for many people – how can you get something inked on your body permanently, forever, which will never change, when life itself is so dynamic?
But there are some things that never change in life – your love for your child is one of them. You may temporarily be enraged by the things your child says or does, but nothing they ever say or do will ever make you not love them or not care for them anymore.
So why not turn your love for your child into a tattoo?
9 Tattoo Ideas for Moms to Declare Their Love for Their Baby!
1. Name Ambigram: An ambigram is an image that looks upright even when it is turned upside-down. For example, if you turn a square upside-down (i.e. if you rotate it through 180o), it will still look like a square. But if you turn a triangle resting on its base upside-down, it will now rest on its apex.
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="430"] Source: https://designshack.net/articles/graphics/how-to-design-an-ambigram/[/caption]
Not only images, but even letters can be made to look like an ambigram. The above image reads 'Yash' right side up, and even when turned upside down. You can get a similar ambigram of either only your child's name, or both your and your child's name. The ideal place to get this tattoo is on your wrist or arm.
2. Roman or Binary Birthdate: The birth of a child marks a significant day in your life – it is the day that gave birth to you as a mother, along with your baby being born too. A day that changed your life forever. You can get the birthdate of your child as a tattoo. To make it interesting, you can write the birthdate in Roman numbers, or binary code.
3. Name in Infinity: They say - “Once a mother, always a mother”. Now that you are a mother, there is one person in your life that you will always love. Your child is one person in your life who is never going to be without your care and attention. If there is a time when women understand the meaning of the word 'forever', it is after they become mothers. So why not put your infinite love for your child into a tattoo?
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="430"] Source: https://www.flickr.com/[/caption]
You can insert your child's name into the infinity sign. This is a very symbolic tattoo and will show just how much you love your child!
4. Sound Wave: When you record sound, digitally it looks like a 'wave' – much like the wave formed by a beating heart on an electrocardiogram. So why not turn that into a tattoo? You can get your child to say your name, or say that she loves you. You can even tattoo the sound wave of the first time your baby chuckled, or even your baby's first cry as she was born in the hospital.
5. Heartbeat: Another popular trend among many parents is to get their child's heartbeat tattooed on their wrist. What could be more singular than your child's heartbeat?
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="430"] Source: https://www.flickr.com/[/caption]
You can make this one more interesting by adding your child's name, initials, or any other special details in continuation of the heartbeat.
6. Fingerprint or Footprint: Those tiny hands and feet, those tiny fingers and toes of your baby are one of the cutest things that any and every mom loves to observe and keep staring at for hours together. Fingerprints of your child can make for another singular tattoo idea.
7. Your Honeymoon/Conception Date: Confused? Well, every couple likes to track back the moment of conception of their child, once they find out that they are pregnant. And because that was the day that your child was 'created' so to speak, doesn't it make that day a special day? The date of conception of your child might hence be a great tattoo idea. It will also be unique!
While it may be difficult to pinpoint the exact date of conception, we are sure you can make a pretty good guess. ;) If, however, you need help tracking the date, here are eight things you should know about your menstrual cycle, to successfully track back to the date you conceived your child.
8. Mommy and Baby Animal: If your child is old enough to have a favourite animal by now, you can get a cute cartoon of the animal tattooed. Mumma and baby elephants, mumma and baby squirrel, or a dog and a puppy, cat and kitten... you get the drift.
9. Portrait: We saved the best for the last. A really skilled tattoo artist can tattoo your baby's portrait on you! Nothing better than having a picture of your baby on you forever, no? Read more
