Glucose Challenge Test (GCT) & Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT) in Pregnancy
Gestational diabetes during pregnancy is common. This happens when the pancreas isn’t able to produce enough insulin to keep up the requirements of the mother as well as the baby. While it normalises once the baby is born, it is important to diagnose it early and take appropriate action to avoid any harmful effect on the foetus and the mother.
What Is Glucose Screening Test When Pregnant?
Glucose test during pregnancy is a common test done on pregnant women to check the blood glucose level to detect the presence or absence of gestational diabetes. There are two types of glucose screening tests, the Glucose Challenge Test and the Glucose Tolerance Test. These tests are conducted between the 24th week and the 28th week.
Who Needs To Take Glucose Challenge Test
If a routine urine test displays high glucose levels, a glucose challenge test is done soon after. In some cases, it is even done before the 24th week. Women, especially, those with high BMI (Body Mass Index) or those who have a family history of diabetes need to take the glucose challenge test. Older pregnant women, post 35, too, should take the test.
Why Do You Need To Take GCT During Pregnancy?
GCT or the Glucose Challenge Test is conducted to find if the pregnant woman has gestational diabetes or not. Gestational diabetes in pregnant women can lead to several pregnancy complications, such as excess foetal growth or a condition known as preeclampsia which is characterised by high blood pressure and the presence of protein in the urine. It can lead to birth injuries and in some cases, a caesarean section delivery will be needed. Hence, the test is of utmost importance.
How Is Glucose Challenge Test Is Done?
Glucose Challenge Test or GCT is the process of measuring the reaction of your body to sugar or glucose. The test involves consuming a sugary drink which may be a glucose drink. It is a non-fasting test which means you need not fast before the tests. You rest for an hour and then, a blood test is done to evaluate the blood sugar levels. The results may show low, normal or high sugar levels. The high levels mean the person is suffering from gestational diabetes. In that case, the glucose tolerance test is done to confirm the diagnosis.
How Is The Test Result Interpreted?
Blood glucose levels are measured either in mg/dl or milligrams per decilitre or mmol/l or millimoles per litre. The purpose of the glucose challenge test is to determine the sugar levels in the blood. The test results are evaluated based on the deviation from normal levels. The normal sugar level in a person is 140 mg/dL or 7.8mmol/L. Though this normal range is what is accepted everywhere, in some labs, a value which is a little lower than this range is also considered normal. Anything above the normal GCT test range in pregnancy confirms gestational diabetes.
What Is GTT Test During Pregnancy?
Glucose Tolerance Test or GTT is also known as OGTT for pregnancy or the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test It is done to find out how the body responds to sugar levels. This test is done to diagnose the presence of gestational diabetes. In some cases, the diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes can also be done with GTT.
How To Prepare For Glucose Tolerance Test
You can have your usual diet until a day before the test. Here are some of the things you will need to do for the test:
This is a fasting test and you will be required to fast for eight hours before it.
You will also need to drink an adequate amount of water before the test.
As a urine sample is asked as a part of the test, one needs to avoid a bathroom visit a few hours before the test.
Some medications may influence the test results, so talk to your doctor about any medicines you may be taking
You can carry some things like a book to keep yourself occupied as you may have to wait for an hour or two for the test
You can carry some snacks with you so that you can have it once the tests are do
Stay cheerful and happy. Stress levels too have a role in raising blood sugar levels.
How Is Glucose Tolerance Test In Pregnancy Done?
There will be some variations in the way the test is done as per the lab or the doctor’s advice. The pregnancy blood glucose test or GTT is a fasting test. So, you will be required to fast or not consume any solid food for around 8 hours before the test. This test is usually done in the morning so you may be asked to have a late-night meal to ensure a gap of 8 hours before the test in the morning. First, a fasting blood sample test is done. After the blood is drawn, you will be given a glucose drink or any other sugar drink. After an hour, the blood sample is again taken and this procedure may be repeated at least twice again.
How Is The Test Result For GTT Interpreted?
The test results for GTT are interpreted on three levels: pre-diabetes, diabetes and gestational diabetes. The case of Type 2 diabetes is not evaluated at this point but the doctor may ask you to take the test again some other day. The unit of blood glucose for making the calculations are in mg/dL or milligrams/decilitre.
Below is a chart showing what the results of the GTT mean:
Blood Sugar Range
Normal Blood Sugar Range
60-100 mg/dL
Pre-Diabetic Range
101-126 mg/dL
Diabetic Range
More than 126 mg/dL
Causes Of High Glucose Level
Here are some reasons why a mother-to-be may have high glucose levels
Generally, a rise in sugar level occurs during pregnancy due to certain hormones produced by the placenta. In most cases, this does not cause a problem because the pancreas releases insulin that can handle the increased sugar levels.
Gestational diabetes occurs when pancreas does not release the required insulin.
Causes Of Low Glucose Level
Here are some reasons why a mother-to-be may have high glucose levels
Low glucose level can be caused due to over-exertion or inadequate diet.
It can also result if one eats late often or if skipping meals become a habit.
Those who exercise more are also prone to having low sugar levels.
Diabetic pregnant women too can suffer from low glucose level if the insulin taken is high.
Risk Or Side Effects Of OGTT In Pregnancy
Here are some you may watch out for:
Some women may experience drastic decrease of sugar levels during the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test. In such a case, they may feel weak, anxious or uncomfortable.
The area on the skin from where the blood is drawn may develop infections if the technician hasn’t sterilised it.
In rare cases, excess bleeding can occur from the region but only in rarest of rare cases.
Bruises in the area or swelling can also occur.
In extreme and very rare cases, there can be excessive bleeding or blood built up under the skin.
What If Your Results Are Abnormal?
Abnormal results are perceived when the results for the test differ each time your blood is drawn. If only one of the abnormal readings is above the normal range then your doctor may simply suggest a change in food habits. However, if more than one of the abnormal readings are above normal then it means that you are suffering from gestational diabetes.
How To Lower Your Blood Glucose levels?
Here are some tips through which one can naturally lower their blood glucose:
Exercising helps train the body to use blood sugar efficiently
Avoid carbohydrates as they could interfere with the insulin function of the body
Adding soluble fibres to your diet helps in naturally reducing blood sugar levels. This is because they help slow down the absorption of sugar in the body.
Drinking a good amount of water helps the kidney remove excess sugar in the blood.
Following a Diet Plan for Gestational Diabetes could be of great help.
Taking the Glucose tolerance test (GTT) and the Glucose Challenge test (GCT) in pregnancy does not necessarily mean that you have diabetes. It is always a good idea to keep a check on your glucose levels during pregnancy and get yourself treated if you show any signs of Gestational diabetes during pregnancy.

10 Easy and Fun Magic Tricks for Kids
Magic is one of the most entertaining things there is for kids. Some are not only excited about seeing a performance, but they also might want to do it themselves. Magic tricks can teach your children a great deal about illusions and sleight of hand; skills they can apply in other areas of life. Here is a good list to begin with on how to do magic tricks for kids.
Top 10 Simple Magic Tricks for Children
Here are some simple magic tricks your child can learn.
1. The Climbing Ring or Antigravity Ring
It’s a simple trick kid can perform with a little bit of practice at home.
What Your Child Needs
A big rubber band
A ring
How to Perform the Trick
Step 1:
Prepare for the trick by cutting your rubber band in half. The bigger the rubber band, the better, as it gives them a long band to work with.
Step 2:
The performance begins; you child will explain to the audience about how he has been developing the powers of his mind. He can now move objects just by focusing on them and willing them to move. Next, he will ask for someone in the crowd to give him a ring as he has had good success with them.
Step 3:
He needs to thread the rubber band through the ring and hold it at both ends without stretching it while showing it to the crowd.
Step 4:
Now comes the tricky part. He has to hold the rubber band right in the middle with his thumb and index finger while hiding the rest of the band in his closed fist. Simultaneously he needs to stretch it so as to maintain the original length that he shows the crowd in the previous step.
Step 5:
Now he tells the audience that he’ll move the ring and makes an intense face while looking at the ring. He slowly releases the band stored in his fist as the stretched half of the band pulls it out. The ring stays in the band due to traction and moves up along as the rubber band contracts. It looks as though the ring is moving and nobody notices the rubber band shrink.
2. Flexible Pencil
This trick works as an optical illusion. A pencil and little practice will do.
What Your Child Needs
A pencil or a pen
How to Perform the Trick
Step 1:
Hold the pencil at nearly the tip of the eraser end. Grip it loosely between the index finger and the thumb.
Step 2:
Shake the hand up and down, so the pencil just flops along up and down with the hand. When you get the speed right, it looks as though the pencil is bending just ahead of the point of grip.
3. Linking clips
A good trick at the amateur level and takes practice.
What Your Child Needs
Two paper clips
A currency note or a similar size paper
How to Perform the Trick
Step 1:
Fold the currency note from both ends so that it forms the shape of an “S” looking from the top.
Step 2:
Insert the clips into the note with the first clip joining the top two folds of the note and the second clip joining the bottom two folds of the note.
Step 3: Gently pull the ends of the note apart and watch the clips move across, join together and fly off.
4. Magnetic Card Trick
It’s an impressive trick that requires some practice.
What Your Child Needs
A deck of cards
Scissors or knife
Glue
How to Perform the Trick
Step 1:
Preparing the gimmick card: Use the scissors or the knife to cut a flap in the centre of one of the playing cards and make sure this flap is easily bendable. Glue this to the back of a regular card such that there is no overlap visible.
Step 2:
The trick begins with picking out more cards and fanning them out in your hand. The gimmick card is one of them, and you hold it at the bottom centre by gripping the flap between your index and ring fingers. Now put your palm facing down on the table with the gimmick card held in place and start slipping the rest of the cards between the gimmick card and your palm.
Step 3:
With the flap secure between your finger, raise your palm off the table, and the cards appear to magnetically stick to your hand.
5. The Floating Egg
It’s a simple but fascinating trick to show both kids and adults.
What Your Child Needs
An egg
A glass half filled with water
½ cup salt
Teaspoon
How to Perform the Trick
Step 1:
Drop the egg into the glass of water and show the crowd that it sinks to the bottom. Now your child asks the crowd on how to make the egg float in the glass. When nobody responds, he proceeds to add his magic mixture into the water.
Step 2:
Add teaspoons of salt to the water and stir it until it dissolves completely. Continue doing that until eventually, the egg floats to the top of the glass.
The trick here is buoyancy. The egg sinks into the plain water because its overall density is higher than water. As you dissolve the salt in the water, its density continues to increase. At a tipping point, the water’s density is higher than the egg’s and the latter floats.
6. Lifting an Ice Cube with a String Trick
Practice the trick to get to know the right amount of salt to add before you try it out.
What Your Child Needs
Bowl of water
Ice cubes
A piece of thin string
Some salt
How to Perform the Trick
Step 1:
Hand the bowl containing the ice cube and the string to a volunteer from the crowd and ask them to lift the ice cube using just the string out of the bowl.
Step 2:
When they give up, your child steps in with a little salt in his fingers and sprinkle it over the ice cube. He then stretches the string over the ice cube and presses into it. After a few moments of waiting, he lifts up the string holding it from both ends, and the ice comes with it as well.
Salt combined with the pressure by the string lowers the melting point of ice. A while later it refreezes once the pressure is released and the thread gets trapped in the ice cube.
7. Magic Comb
This trick works on static electricity and is easier done by girls with long frizzy hair.
What Your Child Needs
Plastic Comb
Paper
Ping pong ball
How to Perform the Trick
Step 1:
Tell your friends that you have a magic comb that attracts many things. Prep your act by ripping up the paper into tiny bits. Run the plastic comb through the hair a few times and bring it close to the tiny paper bits. They get attracted to the comb and move.
Step 2:
Run the comb through the hair again and this time, bring it close to the ping pong ball. The ball rolls toward the comb. You can try this with balloons and a thin running column of water in your kitchen tap. They all get attracted to the comb.
The magic is due to the buildup of static electricity on the comb which causes certain objects to get attracted to it.
8. Disappearing Coin
This one is a bit challenging among the coin magic tricks for kids and requires sleight of hand.
What Your Child Needs
A large coin
Ensure your shirt is tucked into your pants.
How to Perform the Trick
Step 1:
Grab the back of your neck with your left hand with the elbow slightly lower than the shoulder level.
Now, tell your friends that you’ll make the coin disappear just by rubbing it on your elbow. Hold the coin so that it is not clearly visible and as you start rubbing it, drop it to the ground. Say that it didn’t work the first time.
Step 2:
Pick up the coin with your left hand and pretend to put it in your right. Now go back to grab the back of your neck and drop the coin in your shirt.
Step 3:
Rub the left elbow a little and show them your empty hand. The coin has disappeared.
9. Floating Needle Trick
This is one of those easy magic tricks for kids to do at school which also has some physics lessons to learn from.
What Your Child Needs
A bowl or glass full of water
A needle
Some tissue or toilet paper
How to Perform The Trick
Step 1:
You ask volunteers to try to float the needle in the bowl of water, and they will fail. Now you take the toilet paper and cut out a rectangular piece that is a little longer than the length of the needle.
Step 2:
Float the toilet paper in the bowl. You’ll notice that it gets wet immediately. Now gently lower the needle on top of the toilet paper. The buoyancy at this point is good enough to keep the needle and paper afloat.
Step 3:
You can wait for the paper to fully absorb all the water and sink on its own. Alternatively, you can speed it up a little and gently push the edges of the paper into the water and help it sink. You’ll see that the needle remains floating.
This trick works because of the surface tension of water. When you allow the water to form a film below the needle, it’s strong enough to support its weight.
10. Telekinesis
Telekinesis is the alleged ability to move objects using one’s mind and a great magic trick for kids.
What Your Child Needs
A paperclip
A magnet
Thin cardboard
How to Perform the Trick
Step 1:
Begin by saying this performance shows your ability to move a paper clip with your mind. Place the paper clip on top of the cardboard and hold the magnet under the cardboard with your left hand such that the clip is under the influence of the magnet.
Step 2:
Pretend to will the paper clip to move across the cardboard sheet as your right hand hovers over the clip seeming to control it. The clip moves about as the left hand underneath holding the magnet guides it across the sheet in sync with your right hand.
Tips on Performing Magic Tricks and Preparing Your Child for Magic Show
If your child is serious about learning magic it is important for them to learn the two most important rules of magic;
Magicians never, ever reveal their secret
Repeat till you are proficient and repeat some more
Here are 5 tips on preparing your child to be a magician:
The secret to being a good magician is how well you can get your audience involved in the performance. Your child needs to learn how to deceive and distract while they work their sleight of hand. Although math magic tricks for kids can be entertaining, nothing wows the crowd like a good optical illusion. So prepare them with a good bag of tricks.
Learn some real skills; while many of the beginner magicians rely on gadgets and concealed devices to help them with their tricks, their gimmicks can break without warning. Therefore to become a good magician they need to learn how to pull off tricks without using gimmicks.
Practice makes perfect; this law is universal to building any new skill, and the same goes with magic. Your child needs to practice until the moves of the trick become muscle memory and they can pull it off without thinking much about it.
It takes time to become a good magician. Tricks will always go wrong the first few attempts, and it’s easy to get discouraged. Therefore, help your child to understand that it takes time and practice to get there.
Keep it simple in the beginning. Many of the tricks involve complicated movements and understanding of the science behind it. Therefore, start with simple ones and build up to great acts.
With plenty of practice and a passionate fascination with the subject, it is possible to wow any crowd with your magic.

41 Weeks Pregnant: What To Expect
It will be an amazing and indescribable feeling for you to meet your baby for the first time! If you have reached week 41 of your pregnancy, it is quite possible that your little one wants to overstay in your uterus a little longer! However, upon gaining some knowledge regarding the final stages of pregnancy, you can be reassured that there is nothing to worry about even if you still haven't met your baby.
Your Baby's Growth During Pregnancy - Week 41
You are now almost on the verge of meeting your baby! However, if the little fellow is still in your womb, then be assured everything is fine. This is what you can expect after you deliver your baby:
If you go through a vaginal delivery process, then you might deliver babies with temporarily elongated heads as well as puffy eyes. This is because the baby’s head has been squeezed through the birth canal.
Your newborn will mostly have vernix caseosa coating on their bodies. The first bath of the baby will wash this away. Usually, it takes a few weeks for the newborns to develop full and chubby cheeks.
Some newborns might be born with a lot of hair on their head, while others might be bald. There is no reason to worry in the latter case. The hair will eventually grow. In the former scenarios, the hair tends to shed and is replaced by the growth of new hair which will have a different colour and texture.
The eye colour of newborns tends to change and it is between 6 to 12 months that the colour stabilizes into a final one.
The skin of your newborn is likely to be delicate and one can see the blood vessels underneath it. The wrinkles on the skin are there because the baby has spent 9 months inside the womb, floating in the amniotic fluid, whereas now the baby is being exposed to air. They will eventually disappear.
Your baby might have pigeon-toed feet. This is because the baby has been inside your womb with limited mobility. After 6 months or so the feet will straighten out.
What is the Baby's Size
At 41 weeks of pregnancy, the baby will be as big as a watermelon. The baby will be around 20 to 40 inches in length and 3.68 kgs in weight.
Common Body Changes
Your body changes during pregnancy. Parts such as the breasts, skin, abdomen and even the digestive system go through a lot of transformation. During these final stages of pregnancy, your body is getting ready for the birthing process. During this period, it is highly possible that you will go into labour, although for some, the baby takes a little extra time to come out. How will you know if you are in labour?
Your water will break and you can notice red or pink-tinged mucus appearing prior to labour.
You will experience labour contractions as well. These contractions can be experienced differently by different mothers as no two labours will be the same.
Symptoms of Pregnancy at Week 41
The symptoms during the 41st week of pregnancy are usually a continuation of the previous weeks.
Discomfort in the pelvic region: As the baby descends lower, the pressure on the cervix and bladder increases. This causes discomfort and ache.
Haemorrhoids: Pressure on the pelvis leads to swelling up of the varicose veins in the rectum which causes haemorrhoids.
Difficulty while sleeping: This is mainly due to the hormones and the anxiety of having to wait for so long. Also, because you are now simply too big to sleep comfortably!
Frequent visits to the bathroom: The increased pressure on the bladder increases the number of visits to the bathroom.
Contractions: As the baby is getting ready to be delivered, contractions occur more frequently.
What Are the Signs of Labour?
During the 41st week of pregnancy, you might know the signs of labour like the back of your hands. The signs of labour during this period are:
Breaking of the water, indicated by a leak
Frequent contractions that are painful and don't stop
It is necessary to call the doctor or visit the hospital if this is the case. There are chances that you might not show any signs of labour during this period. This does not mean that it won’t happen soon as labour is quite unpredictable.
Inducing Labour at 41 Weeks
Being pregnant for that extra month can add to your physical, as well as, mental stress. Friends and family also tend to add to this by questioning the delay of delivery. At this point, doctors recommend inducing labour. Some pregnant women complain about experiencing stronger and more painful contractions during an induced labour. There are others who say that waiting for labour to begin at home is more comfortable as opposed to the delivery room. Although, as the time extends for delivery, the baby is at a higher risk. There are multiple ways to induce labour during this period such as:
Stripping of membranes: This natural method of induction needs to be performed by the doctor. If you are willing to take this route, the doctor will separate the membranes around the amniotic sac using sweeping motions with their fingers. This releases hormones that lead to labour stimulation.
Artificial rupture of membranes (AROM): The doctor uses a thin hook made of plastic, to break the water. This is done when the mother is continuing to experience contractions with no progress in labour.
Medication: Medications are used to induce labour during the 41st week of pregnancy. To start dilation of the cervix, a prostaglandin suppository is inserted overnight. To jump-start labour contractions, oxytocin is injected intravenously.
Belly at 41 Weeks of Pregnancy
Being pregnant for 41 weeks is basically a period of nine months and 1 week. This is mainly because of the extra time the baby remains in the womb. The belly will be much heavier with increased discomfort. It may be quite difficult to move around, however, doctors suggest to increase movement in order to induce natural labour. Make sure you use proper postures to sit, sleep, and use support while getting up and sitting down as the belly is quite heavy.
41 Weeks Ultrasound
An ultrasound check-up is recommended by the doctors just to ensure the normalcy of the baby and the position. This ultrasound helps the doctor decide on whether to induce labour or not.
What to Eat
41st-week pregnancy foods should include nutrients that are vital for brain development, apart from other essential nutrients. The intake of this nutrient-rich foods should continue at a constant rate, until the day of delivery. Do not reduce your intake of these foods in order to lose weight. Stick to the nutrient-rich pregnancy diet. It is also important to consume lots of fluids.
Tips & Care
Here are a few tips for you to follow to ease the situation.
Dos
Have a nutrient-rich pregnancy diet to help the baby have a healthy growth while inside the womb.
Keep yourself occupied to remain stress-free as it could give you sleepless nights and lead to health deterioration.
Dont's
Do not reduce the intake of food as it could reduce blood sugar levels.
Avoid a hot tub as the body has issues regulating heat while pregnant.
What You Need to Shop
During the 41st week of pregnancy, a list of thing a mother could shop are:
Formula for the baby
Dish liquid to wash the baby’s bottles, etc.
Diapers
Room fresheners, since baby’s poop a lot and the smell tends to stay!
When you experience 41 weeks of pregnancy instead of 40, it is understandable to feel anxious. Stress does mount as the due date is passed. It is essential to know that this is a common occurrence, especially for mothers who are pregnant for the first time. A few reminders for this period are:
Talk to the doctor and get an appointment fixed for labour induction
Relax as much as possible
Keep the mind occupied to worry less
It is best if you educate yourself regarding pregnancy, especially the 41st week of pregnancy (if you are still carrying), and prep for post-pregnancy situations.

Could TV Be Killing Your Sex Life?
If you feel something is spoiling your romance but can't quite nail it, the culprit may just be your television set! Some studies show that sex and television aren't a good combination. What you need to do is rediscover your time as a couple, in real rather than reel life.
Watching your favourite shows at the end of a long day might be your perfect idea of relaxing. However, sex and the tube are sworn enemies! If the telly seems to be mucking up your sex life, it’s time to bring some change.
Say ‘No More’ To TV Ruining Your Sex Life
1. Keep it out of the bedroom
Many households have a television set in the bedroom. While this might afford you more private viewing time, it also takes away from other things you would otherwise do with your partner - most importantly, talking and having sex! Hard though it may be, try and confine the television to the living room or family room. The effort it’ll take to hike there may motivate you to relax in the bedroom and make love.
2. Discipline yourself
Are you one of those people who can’t sleep unless the TV is running in the background? That might have been fine when you were single but with a partner, it’s extremely unromantic to be nodding off to the sound of the television. Instead, indulge in conversation with each other. That, more often than not, might lead to the two of you engaging in some action.
3. Find common ground
If you like to unwind with a juicy soap opera and your husband loves the news, then find something both of you enjoy watching together. The biggest impact of TV on your sex life is that you end up watching stuff that does nothing to bring you closer. Plan a schedule with one soap opera and one news segment, after which you both watch something. Say, a good movie you can cuddle up to?
4. Create couple time
Eating while watching TV is a mechanical activity you shouldn't become a slave to. Make a rule that the tube will remain turned off during dinner. Most couples who don’t watch TV while eating have found that they not only enjoy their food more but also get a wonderful chance to catch up on each other’s day. It’s an easy way to feel more connected.
5. Have a switch-off time
Decide on a time after which the TV will be switched off so you can enjoy time together as a couple. If you know beforehand that your TV viewing is going to be limited, it’ll leave your mind freer to come up with other activities you can indulge in like heating up the sheets! You don't want a situation when your or your husband's addiction to the TV leads to less sex.
At the end of the day, creating a balance between sex and the telly has to be a mutual decision couples need to make. Remind yourselves that the cocktail of sex and television is something you won't find palatable at all! Read more

Motherhood is the Most Beautiful Ornament That a Woman Wears
To my dearest baby, this is the journey of my pregnancy and the beautiful two months of your arrival and many more to come!
My Journey of Pregnancy
It was nine beautiful months of my journey with you in my womb and I was awaiting your arrival. This journey of pregnancy transformed me into a more strong, positive, and confident woman - it gave birth to a mother in me. You are such a beautiful soul, you have taught me to manage you in the toughest of situations. Despite my health going down; despite the physical changes I was going through; despite those rare mood swings I carried, I always enjoyed the times when you were inside me. I hope we will carry this bond once you are out of my womb and stay happy for the rest of your life. I would also thank your dad who took utmost care of me every single moment. It was like - we were both pregnant. He understood my mood swings and tried to cherish me. He was just waiting to hold you in his arms and feel your gentle touch. We just wanted you to be healthy and safe. We want you to stay healthy throughout your life. We decided to teach you the best of things. And then you came into our lives.
You are the magical wand I received.
Let's make the most beautiful moments together,
Let's learn all new things and explore this beautiful world together.
Your Beautiful First Month
I can't believe it has been a month since you stepped into our world. Time went so fast. It still flashes in my mind, the way you arrived from my womb and cried out, in a way saying, "momma, here I am, your cute little dream who has arrived safely. The first kiss, your little fingers, your tender skin, your soft lips, your cute little eyes, your happy smile.. everything was new for us. You were the most awaited soul of the family. This day a month ago was the most memorable and happiest day for our family. A very happy first month and hope to have all smiles on ur face in the days to come.
Your Beautiful Second Month
It has been two months now since your arrival. You turn every day into a magical moment. I am not sure how the last 30 days passed. Watching you grow is a feast for my eyes. The way you start our day with your sparkling smiles; the way you respond to our talks with your tiny legs doing all gymnastics brighten our days. Your strong fists resisting grandma's massages; your video conversations with your dad; your silent talks with ur mama; your playful acts with your grandpas; your sweet dream grins and bad dream cries - everything you do seems new to me and puts me in awe. How can my tiny soul do so many intelligent things? How can a cry be just a means of communication for a baby to express everything he wants? Sometimes, it is such a challenging task for a mom to understand what her baby needs. This is how nature is designed by God. Your anger, your hunger, your pain and even your discomfort - I am trying to understand your cries. I hope I am doing all that you need. You are the best gift I received and I promise I will raise you in the best possible way.
We have many more moments to celebrate. In the end, I want to thank God for giving me this opportunity to carry a beautiful soul like you in my womb. I love you to the moon and back my baby.

A. I think it would be advisable for you to get an ultrasound done with your doctor that’s going to give you a clarity because if there is a pregnancy it would be visible at least at least that sack is visible if it’s a regular pregnancy so it would be advisable to have a test with your doctor

A. dear Mum, you should not give any sort of gripe water or ghutti to your baby. these are unhealthy and dangerous and can cause infection to your baby. so, these should be completely avoided.

A. Do consult your doctor as soon as you can. It's important to find the real reason because without that, proper medication is not possible.

A. usually fixed. better to show to specialist always as they get the correct diagnosis. try to avoid self and extra medication that will only complicate this and create more damage to the child

A. You should have started going from the very beginning itself once you get to know you’re pregnant but since you haven’t reached that now if you’re pregnancy has been healthy last five months please get it checked with your doctor also if you need to start with any supplements or diet the doctor would advise you after a ultrasound so please visit your gynaecologist
