How to Apply for a PAN Card for a Child
Minor is a person who is below the age of 18 years. Many people think that their children can get a PAN (Permanent Account Number) Card only when they become adults, that is after they reach the age of 18 years. However, that is not true. Although children can't apply for a PAN card, their parents can. If you think your child does not need one before he or she starts earning, then you might be mistaken. Let’s take a look at why it is important for a child to have a PAN Card.
Why and When Does a Child Need a PAN Card?
Your child will need to have a PAN Card if you make her a nominee of any of your investment scheme. If you are planning to make an investment in your child’s name, then you will be asked to submit a copy of her PAN card. The Permanent Account Number will also come in handy if you want to open a bank account in your child’s name, though it is not absolutely necessary.
A child will need a PAN card if she is earning. A child’s income from any investment or income is not taxable unless:
The child has a physical disability, is completely blind etc.
The child earns through her own skill, knowledge, or talent.
The child has earned an income on her own.
How to Apply for a PAN Card for a Minor
Applying for a PAN Card for your minor is easy, and as parents, you can do it both online and offline.
Applying Online
Visit the official website of NSDL and look for the online PAN Application tab. Click on it.
You will now need to fill form 49A online.
Go through the instructions carefully.
Fill in all the necessary personal details on that form that appears on the screen.
Upload supporting documents and photographs. Supporting documents include age proof, address proof, and more.
You will now be required to upload your signature.
You will have to pay the required amount of fees via demand draft, debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Click on the ‘submit’ button, and you will get an acknowledge number to help you track your application status.
If you have chosen demand draft as the mode of payment, then you can enclose all the supporting documents, if not uploaded.
Don’t forget to mention the acknowledgement number on the envelope.
The PAN Card will be sent to your address by post.
Applying Offline
Follow these steps if you are planning to apply offline:
Download form 49A from the official website.
Read the instructions for filling the form carefully.
Fill the form with all the correct details and collect all the relevant documents.
Attach two photographs of your child, though no photograph will appear on the PAN Card.
Now submit the filled form, relevant documents, and the fee at the nearest NSDL office.
The PAN Card gets sent to the address provided after verification is finished.
What is the Procedure to Update PAN Card of Minor on Becoming Major?
Once your child becomes an adult, she will need to opt for PAN Card update. No photograph is attached on the PAN Card of a minor, so it cannot be used as an identity proof.
Here’s the procedure your child will have to follow to update her PAN Card once she attains the age of 18:
1. Open a Fresh Account
Your child will open a fresh account on attaining maturity. She will need to either use form 49A (for Indian citizens) or 49AA (for NRIs).
2. Fill the Form
The second step is to fill the form with all the correct details. New details, if any, need to be updated and your child will need to sign the form.
3. Required Documents
Relevant documents like age and address proof will either have to be uploaded or sent through post along with photographs and the downloaded form. Ensure the details filled on the form are accurate.
4. Payment
Make the requisite payment to complete the application. Indian citizens need to pay INR 107 while NRIs are required to pay INR 989.
Once, your child completes the application, she will get the acknowledgement number.

The following documents are to be submitted for PAN Card application:
1. For Age Proof
A copy of one these will suffice:
Municipal birth certificate
Aadhaar Card
Passport
Mark sheet issued by any recognised educational board

6. Lingual Braces

To all the mommies out there, I would like to share some tips that will help you increase your breast milk production naturally. Each and every mother wants to give the best to her child and we all know, nothing can be more nutritious and super food than breast milk.
I am a new-age mother, and I used to party a lot and lived a full cosmopolitan life till the time I entered motherhood. When I was pregnant especially in my last trimester, I read a lot of blogs on parenting to make sure that I give the best to my little one.
Breast milk is the only source of nutrition for babies up until they turn 6 months old. But all those mothers who are unable to feed their babies shouldn't worry. Whether you breastfeed or bottle feed, no one on this planet can love and care for your baby as much as you would do. So, you must enjoy your motherhood phase to the fullest.
Now, I will come back to my tips on how to increase your breast milk. Mentioned below are a few tried and tested remedies.
Sabudana - I am sure all the Indians are aware of sabudana. We usually make it while fasting. Now here is a quick recipe to increase your breast milk with these small wonders. You can soak a handful of medium-sized sabudana in water for about 6-8 hours. Then boil in milk. Add sugar and elaichi (for flavour). Let it simmer for sometime, then drink. For better results, drink this during daytime. If you drink it in the evening, you may catch a cold.
Masoor Dal - It is available in all the Indian kitchens. These beautiful orange-coloured legumes are a rich source of protein and can help increase your breast milk production. Here's how you can consume this dal. Add one teaspoon of ghee in pressure cooker. Add a pinch of hing and a teaspoon of cumin seeds. Once the colour of cumin seeds changes, add soaked lentils (as per your requirement) and add water (double the amount of lentils), and cook for two-three whistles. Stir it and consume this dal.
Cumin Seeds (Jeera) - This spice is a boon for all the new mothers. I use these for dual purpose- (a) As a moderator to increase by breast milk (b) to reduce my belly fat. Since this blog is all about increasing breast milk, I will share the recipe for increasing your breast milk supply. Soak some cumin seeds for 3-4 hours, then boil these soaked seeds for 10-15 mins. Strain the seeds and your drink will be ready. Sip it once it is lukewarm. Don’t burn your mouth (I have done this mistake). For it to show results, drink it before going to bed.
Fennel Seeds ( Saunf) - I just love these beautiful green seeds. Earlier, saunf used to be my favourite mouth freshener, and now it helps me with breast milk production. Add a teaspoon of saunf in boiling water, then turn off the gas flame, and cover it with a lid. After 20 minutes, open the lid, strain, and enjoy this tasty drink. You can have this anytime. I used to have this drink in place of my evening tea.
Water - I hope that you all are aware of the fact that water is one of the most important constituents of your breast milk. This means, you need to keep yourself hydrated. If a normal person drinks 8-12 glasses of water in a day, then new mommies should drink at least 10-15 glasses of water for improved lactation. Here's a tip for you - When you start feeding your baby, drink a glass of water as it will help increase the flow.
Green Vegetables - Vegetables like drumsticks, pumpkin, etc. will help increase your breast milk production. So, try and consume as much green and leafy veggies as you can during your lactation period.
Apart from the above-mentioned ways, there are several other things which can help you to increase your milk flow. I have listed the ones that I have tried and tested. So all new mommies try these and let me know if these remedies work for you.

Your baby might fall asleep before he swallows the last gulp of milk. The sugar in the formula would coat your baby’s gums and tiny teeth. Of course the teeth are only temporary, but according to American Dental Association, they also provide space in his mouth for permanent teeth. You wouldn’t want this space to be permanently damaged.
Risk of Ear Infection
An ear infection is painful and can make your baby cranky. He is helpless because he is unable to tell you about his aches. As a parent or caregiver, you might feel as helpless as him because you do not know why your little one is crying. Did you know bottle feeding in bed is one of the primary causes of ear infection? This is because sometimes your baby might not swallow the milk down to the last gulp. This last gulp of milk might pool inside his mouth, which might steadily trickle into his ear causing bacteria to get into his Eustachian tubes.

The best way to get used to multitasking is to just make it a habit. When you train your brain to get better and better at switching between tasks, it gets more efficient and plain good at it. This will take time and require discipline on your part. But the good news is that it'll just take 21 days for you to start feeling the benefits of multitasking since that's how long it takes to build up a habit. Ingraining the habit for life will take at least 4 to 6 months though, so just keep at it until it sinks in.
6. Don't Be Afraid to Ask for Help
If you feel you've taken up too much work, don't be afraid to ask for help. Delegating your tasks to a co-worker or someone you trust just means you're a responsible person and human. It's okay to take two steps back to move one step forward sometimes. After all, progress is progress. Once you're able to handle your current workloads and multitask on them, you can always take up more later to make up for it.
Multitasking is no magic and yes, it is a skill that can be developed. If you go slow, take the time, and put in a conscious effort and smart practice, you'll be soon reaping its benefits.

A lot of times normal delivery is actually seen in these cases also if the doctor is quick and the child cooperate then yes normal delivery is very much possible but some doctors don’t take a chance with the health of your child and so they normally suggest C-section so let’s see what’s your situation by the end when you are into your labour
