If this is commonly happening with your baby, you may like to give adequate time to your baby to get familiar with strange people. You may hear your baby stay his first words- with any luck it will be a mama. Babies during this time try to duplicate the sounds that they mostly hear. To help your baby in this respect ensure that he is looking at your face when you speak with him so that he can watch the movements of your lips and then try and follow suit.
A 21 Week-Old Baby's Milestones
Every baby develops at his own time and pace. So, the developmental milestones for each baby may be different. Some twenty-one-week old baby milestones can be:
The taste buds of the baby are more developed by now. He will be continuously putting things in his mouth.
Some babies will be sitting around now although most babies may still need certain support to sit up.
Your baby’s sight is constantly developing. He may be able to focus on a variety of objects even smaller and moving ones.
Your baby’s muscles are becoming stronger. He may be capable of easily rolling over to his side or flipping over to be lying on his belly.

Baby Feeding
You will be pleased to realize that your baby’s appetite is likely to increase. You may want to feed your baby in a quiet and peaceful environment as he is less likely to get distracted by his surroundings and may eat better. The feeding patterns of your baby may change during this spell. He may simply drift from feeding into a nap. You will also realize that the number of feeds can reduce as the baby may prefer to sleep his way through the day. Babies during this time can go for lengthier durations between feeds.
It is essential that you continue offering breast milk to your baby even if you decide to introduce solids in his diet. However, in most cases, breast milk or formula milk may be enough to meet the nutritional requirements of the baby at least for the time being. There is no urgency to introduce solids as yet. It is quite common for babies to cut back on their milk intake a little as they develop an extra preference for solids.

Sleeping
21-week old baby sleep patterns may start getting regular. Here are some of the key points about the sleeping patterns of 21 weeks old baby:
Your baby may not sleep throughout the night.
But you may discover that your baby is sleeping for longer hours during the night.
Most babies wake up during the night because of thirst and hunger. Usually, breastfeeding your baby should help him settle down and get back to sleep.
However, his naps may become consolidated during this stage. He is more likely to take chunkier naps (around 45 min) instead of frequent small naps through the day.
It may not be a good idea to feed your baby too much before sleep time in the hope that he sleeps throughout the night. Overfeeding can cause colic and may lead to added wakefulness.
Sleep regression in 21-week old infant is typical of this phase. If your baby has been sleeping well at nights but unexpectedly begins to experience recurrent night waking or develops napping issues, he may be undergoing sleep regression due to growth spurts.

Preparing Formula for Infants: Things To Know
Undoubtedly, breastfeeding is the best source of nutrition for your baby. There is no comparison to the benefits that breast milk has for the baby. However, if for a medical reason, or due to a personal situation, you are unable to breastfeed, you may be exploring the option of formula milk. It takes time for a new mom to learn to prepare formula food for her infant. If you too are a new mother, you must realize the importance of the do's and don’ts of preparing formula food for your baby.
Although most formula food manufacturers ensure optimum hygiene while processing and canning the product, you must be completely sure before picking it up for your baby. In some cases, formula food may contain bacteria like Salmonella and Cronobacter sakazakii. Though the presence of the bacteria is highly unlikely, it can be life-threatening for the baby when consumed unknowingly. Thus, it is important to always check the manufacturing date on the formula can. Do not buy expired products or the ones that look old, rusted or dented.
As a mother, maintaining hygiene must be your top prority, while preparing baby food. The immune system of baby is not as strong as that of an adult. Their kidneys and livers are not capable of fighting the harmful bacteria and virus. Hence, exercising extra care while making baby food is a must. Besides food hygiene, you should also ensure cleaning and sterilizing the feeding utensils generously every time before and after the use. Most baby foods are prone to bacterial attack when kept in open for long, thus always use a lid or preserve the food properly when you plan to use it later.
How To Prepare Formula for Baby?
Sterilize the bottle, nipple and ringer in a pot of boiling water for about an hour.
Wipe the bottle and other parts with a clean towel.
Let them dry for some time.
Disinfect and clean the area where you want to feed the baby.
Wash your hands properly before preparing the food for your baby.
Boil water for making the formula. Cool it down for 30 minutes until lukewarm. When the water temperature reaches around 70 degree Celsius, start preparing the food.
Follow the manufacturer’s instruction for the right steps and proportion.
Do not keep the spoon and other bottle parts like nipple and ringer on the floor.
Shake the bottle properly to mix the food well.
Do not keep the formula open for a long time.
Pour a drop or two of the milk on your hand to understand whether the formula has reached the room temperature.
Do not store the leftover milk for long.
You can also use formula milk while you are away from the house. When going out, you can carry the baby’s bottle with measured amount of boiled water in an insulated bag with a cool pack. Carry measured amount of formula powder separately, and mix both, the water and the formula powder on the spot to feed your baby whenever required. With these steps and a little patience, you can bottle feed your baby safely and hygienically. Read more

Breastfeeding most difficult task in my life but finnally achieved
It was on 11 April when my first child, who was a girl, came to this world. She is a premature baby born in 34weeks as a reason had difficulty in breathing and also had jaundice by birth and was admitted immediately to the nicu and was not put on my breast even once. She was formula fed and on the other hand my breasts got filled with milk and i could not feed her and because of which i got fever and doctor advised me to breastfeed immediately.
I went to the hospital to feed her but she was blind folded and had wires everywhere on her body. She was not able to feed on my breast she didn't know how to do it. My breast had heavy flow of milk but i was unable to feed her. I had ceserian so i could not sit for long so doc advised me to pump my milk and send it to the hospital and the staff would feed her.
This made my work easy but i didn't know that this procedure would effect my child in such a way that she would only drink pumped milk and would not suck on my breast. I would pump every 4hrs because once i pumped she would drink it twice i.e. every 2hrs ,as a newborn she would drink 30ml once and as she grew up she would drink 60ml. I would have to pump every 4hrs in order to meet her demand. All day i would be washing her bottle and breast pump accesories. This took me to depression and i had to take anti depression pills, because i would worry of her getting up from sleep and me pumping again also what if my milk supply is not good how will i be able to feed her. These thoughts took me to depression. On day i could not pump even 30ml of milk because of lack of milk supply so i gave her formula milk and she could not digest it and kept vomitting and she did not drink even my milk for 6hrs. This was also one reason of depression.Doctor advised me to go to my home for some days for a change over and gave me lactonic granules powder for better milk supply. With the help of that powder my milk supply increased and i went to my home.My mother helped me with breastfeeding she taught me and also my baby how to feed. I pumped for 3months but now she will be four and she has learnt how to suck and now she is only on breast feeding. Now i pump only once at night so that she is full and sleep for long in the night. I had to go through a lot while feeding.
It is not a easy task but for baby breastfeeding is the best and every mother should breastfeed. Give formula milk only if u are unable to breastfeed. Read more

A. yes
whenever you give any new food to the child you have to take care of two things.
you should give in small quantity. if the child doesn't develop any digestion problem in next 24 hours to 48 hours and the child is able to digest that food then that food can be given again.
but if the child is not able to digestc or there is some problem with vomiting or loose motion or colic pain then kindly avoid that food.
we wait for 2 to 3 days to confirm whether the child is having any problem to that particular food or not
