When and How do Babies Recognize their Name
Out of the many first things that expectant parents may do is to pick a name for their baby. After the baby’s arrival, they may be calling the baby by his name constantly hoping for some response. It is natural for excited parents to eagerly await the moment when their baby starts to know his name and respond to it.
However, it may be a few months before a baby can begin recognising his name. Name recognition normally happens when babies turn 6 to 7 months old. But regularly repeating your baby's name may not just be delightful for you but can also help him get familiar to its sound.
At What Age Do Babies Recognize Their Name
New moms may be keen to learn when do babies know their name. You may notice your baby turning towards you when you say his name as early as a couple of weeks old. But this response of your baby may not be due to name recognition but because of familiarity to the sound of your voice.
Research indicates that babies tend to start knowing their name between 6 to 7 months of age. A 6 months old baby may develop the ability to correlate familiar sounds with people or objects they denote. For example, if you indicate to a ball while saying the word ‘ball’ your baby may realise the connection though he won't be able to say the word until he is 10 to 12 months old or beyond.
However, parents need to understand here that development in babies occurs in a continuum. Every baby can have varying time frames to cover the various developmental milestones. It is perfectly normal if some babies exhibit name recognition a little earlier than others or if some display it a little later.
Parents may like to focus more on frequently using the baby’s name while talking to him so that he may eventually make the association between himself and his name when being called. The important point to bear in mind is that the overall social development of the baby is progressing the pace notwithstanding.
How Do Babies Start Recognizing Their Name
Studies show that words often repeated and said with emphasis can help in initiating language comprehension babies. Words usually articulated to a baby in affectionate tones like mommy or baby’s name constantly can foster recognition and response in babies.
Babies are accustomed to listening to their mothers since the time they were in the womb. Therefore, your baby may not only be familiar with your voice but can also comprehend the tone of your voice and thereby realise the different emotions like love, happiness, anger, anxiety, sadness. The emotional connection which gets established between a mother and her baby when he is still in the womb as part of his neurological growth assists the baby to evolve his verbal language communication skills later on.
How to Teach Baby to Respond to His Name
Some easy tips to help you teach your baby to respond to his name can be:
It is better to start using your baby’s name to call him right from his early months.
Avoid referring to your baby by pet-names and
Talk as much as you can with your baby daily and use his name repeatedly which may facilitate familiarisation and relationship between the sound and his name.
Ask other family members and people also to use the baby’s name while talking to him.
For better name recognition keep the calling session short and crisp and take small breaks between different occurrences of name-calls.
Initially practise calling out your baby’s name to him in a setting with minimalistic distractions.
In due course introduce a setting with distractions and other people and consistently keep calling his name till he turns to look your way.
You may like to share a reward with your baby after a successful response as part of positive reinforcement.
Parents need not pointlessly worry and hurry their child unnecessarily in case they feel their baby is delaying responding to his name. Just enjoy the frequent cute chat sessions with your baby during this thrilling phase letting him indulge you with his own adorable babbles and eventually he may reward you with suitable responses. Nevertheless, in case your baby doesn’t seem to respond to his name even by the time he is of 9 months it is advisable to refer to a doctor.

Indoor & Outdoor Safety Checklist For Toddlers
One thing all moms want is to build a safer environment for their child. The answer to your quest may be safety equipment. Though it does not replace the need for supervision, it helps you in protecting your child from harm to a large extent.
Toddlers, with their enthusiastic and inquisitive behaviour, require a lot of supervision. With their constant jumping, kicking and running around, you need to ensure a balance between protection and freedom during playtime. You can consider using child safety equipment that has essential tools to keep children safe from dangerous injury.
Indoor Safety Equipment for Kids
1. Gates and Barriers
They keep your toddler from climbing up the stairs, tumbling down, or going into rooms with potential hazards such as the kitchen. You can use these till your toddler is well-grown. Once he is over 3 years, he will probably learn to climb over a barrier!
2. Window Locks
Window locks are important so your windows don’t open far too much. After all, your active toddler could be inquisitive and try to climb out.
3. Harnesses
A five point harness is good to use for push-chairs or highchairs. This prevents your child from falling off.
4. Appropriate Surfaces
Proper, smooth surfaces in play areas help your active tot to lessen pain during injury.
5. Anti-slip Poducts
Using anti-slip products during bath-time can let your toddler maintain balance in the bathroom.
6. Covered Edges
Ensuring that your furniture does not have any sharp edges helps protect your child. If it does, use corner and edge guards to protect your child from getting scratched.
7. Nightlights
They make sure children don’t trip or bump into objects when they get up to go to the toilet at night.
Outdoor Safety: Kids Playground Equipment
The playground equipment should be tightly anchored below the earth’s surface. This prevents them to rise up all of a sudden or come out loose when a child is using them.
Play equipment should be used as per your toddler’s age. For example, if in the ‘monkey bar’ apparatus, the distance between two bars is wider than half the height of a kid, don't use it!
The equipment present in the playground must meet the standards of basic safety. Slides should have a large top deck and rails on both sides to hold. Swings should be placed at a good distance, so that two of them don’t collide with one another. The merry-go-round should have flattened surfaces and places to hold onto.
When you're considering buying safety equipment, read the manual that comes with the equipment carefully. Once sure, go ahead and install it at home so that your child can play without any fear of getting hurt. Read more

Love is a feeling but if their is any face of love then it is a bond between mother and baby😍
Mother gives birth to a child, actually in another angle or side child gives birth to mother too.suddenly magic happens.
Before giving birth to a miracle in this world I loved my mom little less!!! I was stubborn, little bit messy and little bit arrogant towards my mom oops bitter but truth or I can say bitter truth in this world..we generally started taken for granted to our mother..but I was thinking why she is loving me the way she used to love after all this mess or arrogance.she sacrifices everything why?she left her dream why?she is quiet and tolerate many things why?she doesn't care of her beauty and body why?she pings me all time why?I got all answers at the moment i gave birth to an angel.

A mother who was a careless girl. Who eats anytime.who jumps from soda to bed,who is a monkey of her house. Who has so many complaints from her parents. Who dances and sings in shower. Who has her favourite colour clothes to wrist watch to hair pin. Who once decided to have baby and suddenly her life changes. From unplanned food to diet chat. From midnight movies to early sleep. From jumping one place to other suddenly start yoga. From her favourite clothes to oversize dresses. Everything changes. Her dreams, her passion suddenly stop for a moment. Her life becomes pointless and lifeless. Nothing much interesting left. She start feeling from freedom to prison.
Then a moment came when she heard his heartbeat and suddenly her all sacrifices seems worthy. Fear of putting on weight suddenly convert into happy moment. Only dream left in her eyes is a dream of his coming baby. She started day dreaming of playing with baby. Her little toes and little fingers. She suddenly touch her cheeks started smiling in her open eyes(day dreaming). From waste days to future planning everything changes in her life. As days passes she starts feeling those cute movements, those kicks, those heartbeats and that special bond which is priceless.
I always amazed how a newly born baby can sense his mother when his visibility is almost blurr. But when I got all answers during my pregnancy. That special bond which binds two hearts and two heartbeats together. Now she eats for two body(me and my baby)a baby who listens her first music that is beats of her heart(heartbeat). Who eats food she eats. Who sleeps when she sleep. Who sense light first time in his small world first time in her womb. Who licks his fingers and thumb first time in womb. Who feels cold or warm inside her womb. Who alive only because of her care. Baby who sees first time to her mom and connects every string of love at a moment. Who feels warmth of her mother's body. Who has existence because of a women called mother. Only person whose string of love (umbilical cord)is connected to him is mother.
Their is lot to say,lot to express but only phrase summaries everything is mother gives birth to a child and a child gives birth to a mother. And I can proudly say that I am a mother of 6 months old child. A moment when a lady gives birth to a baby and look into his eyes understand the real meaning of a word Love. Hence ,their is no other bond is as special as bond of mother-child.

Remembering Veenu Paliwal – Mom and Biker Who Showed Us How To Dream
All of us have dreams. They keep us going, cheer us up, and convince us that life is beautiful. But not many of us have the courage and strength to follow them through. Veenu Paliwal, 44, biker, mom and entrepreneur, was one such dreamer who pursued her passion till the very end. Today, we may have lost one of India's top bikers, but here's why her life and work will forever be an inspiration.
It was her Dad and his old Rajdoot bike that first triggered Veenu's love for biking. She was Daddy's little “putrika”(combination of putra and putri) who had big dreams, and was she willing to work hard for them! Veenu Paliwal grew up to be a powerful and confident biker, someone who had complete control over her bike. In a society that is still skeptical, even cynical, about women in “manly” professions, Veenu became famous for riding at 180 kmph! Recently, she was also named the Lady of the Harley 2016.
Veenu Was A Responsible Dreamer.

A mother of two (a son and a daughter), Veenu understood the need for safety while biking. She actively promoted the cause of road safety and protective gear. But in a strange and upsetting irony of life, it was the road that ultimately claimed her life. The unfortunate incident took place last evening in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, where her bike dangerously skidded off the road.
"Love your bike, but be scared of it too!
Biking makes you look at things, even road safety, from a different perspective.”
Veenu was on an all-India tour on her Harley Davidson along with a fellow biker Dipesh Tanwar. She was also planning to make a documentary on her motorbike travels.
She was willing to work hard to follow her passion. Even it meant making sacrifices and letting go.

Veenu first learnt to ride in college. Even though she became a proficient rider, there always was protest from her family. Her husband, with whom she parted ways last year, didn't let her ride at all. To help fund her biking, she started a lounge and Victorian tea room in Jaipur named Chah Bar.
"One has to have a desire to follow the dreams or aspirations, this is what I believe in."
Till the very end, she lived the life she wanted, going against the world if required. This mommy had a stroke of luck in her two children, especially her daughter, who shares the passion.
She inspired women to come out and achieve their heart's desire. Her daughter is following in her footsteps.

Veenu's daughter is also keen on bike riding, a passion she has undoubtedly inherited from her mom. In fact, she has accompanied Veenu on some rides and events. Her son, interestingly, isn't too keen – a situation that proves how societal notions are often untrue and must be changed.
"Both my children are proud of me as I am living my dream and setting an example for women by breaking the stereotype."
Today is a dark day for the world of biking. Veenu's death marks the end of an era. However, she will live on amidst us as an inspiration, a woman and mom just like us, who didn't allow anything to come in the way of her passion.
We wish her family and children strength to come to terms with the loss. Veenu Paliwal, thank you for showing us how to live our dreams. Read more
