काजल के 2 बच्चों की माँ थी एक बेटा जो अब जॉब कर रहा था वो बैंगलोर में रहता था, बेटी अब कॉलेज में आ गयी थी दोनो बच्चे अब बड़े हो गए थे शादी के 25 साल कैसे बीत गए काजल को पता ही नही चला दोनो बच्चो की परवरिश दिल्ली शहर में रहकर की बेटे का जन्म शादी के एक साल बाद ही हो गया. काजल पूरी तरह बेटे की परवरिश में व्यस्त हो गयी पति नीरज की जॉब भी ऐसी थी कि वो ज्यादातर टूर पर ही रहते इसलिये घर की सारी जिम्मेदारी काजल अकेले ही सम्हालती थी. दोनो बच्चो की अच्छी परवरिश के लिए काजल ने अपनी जॉब भी छोड़ दी, क्योंकि वो नही चाहती थी पैसों के लिए उसके बच्चे अपनी माँ के प्यार से वंचित रहें ये उसका खुद का फैसला था. आज जब उसके दोनो बच्चे अपनी जिंदगी में सफल हो गए है तो आज उसे अपने जीवन मे बहुत अकेलापन महसूस होने लगा है क्योंकि बेटा बाहर रहता है और बेटी अपनी कॉलेज की पढ़ाई में बिजी है.
काजल को समझ नही आ रहा कि वो इस अकेलेपन को कैसे दूर करें वो बस यही सोचती है कि अब उसकी जिंदगी में बचा ही क्या है उम्र भी 40 के पार हो गयी है अब उसकी लाइफ एकदम बोर है. अपनी माँ को हमेशा उदास देखकर बेटी स्नेहा बहुत परेशान हो गयी वो हमेशा माँ से कहती कि माँ आप अब फ्री हो कुछ करती क्यों नही ? पर काजल हमेशा यही कहती अब इस उम्र में, मैं क्या करुँगी ?
स्नेहा ने अपनी माँ से कहा, माँ हमारे कॉलेज में एक ग्रुप है जो NGO से जुड़ा है आप उसे जॉइन कर सकती हो, वो ग्रुप दिल्ली के गरीब बच्चो को उनकी बस्ती में जाकर फ्री में शिक्षा देता है! मेरी सहेलियों की मम्मियां भी इससे जुड़ी है फिर आपको कोई परेशानी भी नही होगी आप मेरे साथ ही कॉलेज चल लिया करना. अपनी बेटी की बात सुनकर मानो काजल को जैसे एक नई जिंदगी मिल गयी, अपनी टीचर की नौकरी जो उसने बच्चो की परवरिश के लिए छोड़ी थी आज उसे वो दोबारा मिल गयी थी और मन मे सुकून भी था कि वो समाज के लिए कुछ कर सकेगी.
