6. Dengue
Malaria is not the only disease that mosquitoes can cause. This is yet another one, and quite fatal, too.

A variant of the mosquitoes with stripes resembling a tiger on their body are the carriers of this virus. When they bite a person, they transfer the virus directly into the bloodstream.
Symptoms
Extreme pain in the joints and muscles, swelling of the lymph nodes, weakness, headaches, fever, that can even lead to haemorrhagic bleeding which can be fatal.
Prevention

7. Influenza

9. Leptospirosis
Also known as Weil’s syndrome, this is seen in people who regularly come in contact with polluted water of the monsoons.
Causes
Coming in contact with contaminated water and soil, usually mixed with animal urine, containing the infection. This can enter the body through food or water or even a tiny open wound in the skin, the nose or eyes.
Symptoms
Headaches, body pain, fever, all resembling influenza. Shivering and stiffness in the neck, inflammation of the brain and abdomen.
Prevention
Wear proper footwear that protects the feet from getting wet. Keep your pets clean and get them checked up. Cover any open wounds at all times.
10. Scabies
A skin infection that can infect babies and lead to irritating rashes all over the body.
Causes
Parasitic mites that are small in size find their way onto the skin. These thrive in warm and humid areas such as armpits, skin folds, elbows, genitals, and even in the scalp. It is contagious and can be spread by skin-to-skin contact, too.
Symptoms
Red rashes with bumps and water-filled blisters. There are brown or silver lines present in the areas which denote mites entering inside the skin.
Prevention
Keep away from people who seem to have a skin infection. Regularly wash and replace bedsheets, blankets and other household items. Wear full clothes that are completely dry and disinfected.

I tried to ignore her but my baby smiled at her and tried to call her (he wants to interact with everyone around him). She stared at my kid and that made me furious. I was just trying to discover reason behind her behaviour. But I think I can't understand the complicated circuit in the minds of such people. My little one was crying so I decided to find myself a seat. The queue progressed eventually, and that woman stood behind me, not knowing that I am around her. She couldn't hold her feelings and discussed about me and my baby with her fellow travellers - loud enough for me to hear it. I heard her say, "I think her husband had left her or maybe she left him. The poor baby is suffering.''I was distressed. I was the only one who was travelling with an infant or a kid in that flight so I didn't take a second to understand the fact that she was referring to me. I felt like turning back to her to shut her up. I even felt like smashing her face. But I controlled and composed myself. She judged me for travelling alone with my baby and she also decided that my marriage didn't work out.I asked myself again and again what would have made her feel that way? If I am struggling with anything in life, it doesn't mean that I don't have a man in my life to support me. In fact, why do I need a man to fight my battles? Can't I fight my own? Honestly, all my wrath turned into humour. I laughed and felt pity for the small brains of such people.I wanted to tell them that my husband hasn't left me. He dropped me at the airport with a heavy heart and he was letting his wife and son go away from him to do his job. The job he does for the nation - for everyone. Oh! yes, he's a soldier - a brave soldier, and I am the one who pumps strength in him.I am not a single mother. I am a soldier's wife who is supposed to be strong.

First three months ...
Life was never tough than this stage.Bejng a new mum and blessed with two,happiness must overpower every bit of toughness but believe me it surely is difficult with feeding two,getting their sleep routine set,understand their gas,hunger,sleep problems etc.Thank god first few months babies are mom fed with her milk,this alone gives so much positivity about babies health to mom.
If you are not breastfeeding,DONOT be guilty of giving formula milk.IT IS OK.
Believe me,for all the tough times ,for all sleepless times and all the dietary you couldn't give now,you will surely compensate it later.
Four to Eight months...
You actually wait for this stage because many say babies will understand sleep routine after three months.It didn't happen with me.I had to make both of them sleep thrice a day plus night which is 8 times and soothing them,music,milk nothing made them sleep themselves,I HAD TO make them sleep somehow.And of course feed both one after the other every two hours.Then people said,every difficulty you are undergoing now will disappear once they turn one year .
Then my babies starting communicating,aaaa-uuuu-hehehe etc and started smiling ,this is when I started enjoying all my tough time.
This stage ,a big relief to mums but never knew that's one more challenging task,INTRODUCING SOLID FOOD.I thought it's a relief when I stop running ,carrying one after the other kid for breastfeed if I introduce solid food(solids stay for longer time in their small tummy than milk obviously,mum have some buffer time with this ).
Here,started all kinds of sounds from my house ,my dad turns on the musical toys,entertains them while I feed each baby,what is challenging is not making them eat but to make them stay still so mum can feed.Arghh!! Ooph !!
8 months to 15 months ...
Oh wow,however difficult it is,you definitely enjoy those moments when your babies with their tiny little feet tries to walk.Mum is a great singer at this stage,and you surely be a big fan of rhymes than your child because you start enjoying them more.See your baby clapping her hands while you sing and not to forget, how proud daddy is when he tells about all the things his baby does to his friends and family(mum,be proud ,u taught your baby all of that ).
There are milestones,there is difficulty with two .With time definitely everything will be okay because ,Oh,mom,it is you afterall and babies know that one thing.Mommy will surely figure out a way.
