Powdered jowar -1/2 cup
Salt
Oil - 1 tsp
Chopped mixed vegetables - 1 cup
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida (hing)
Tomatoes - 2 tbsp, chopped
Onions - 2 tbsp, chopped
Coriander - 2 tbsp
Total Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 4
How to Make:
Combine the salt and powdered jowar with 3 cups of water. Place it inside a pressure cooker and mix well. Cook for 4 minutes.
Let the steam escape and then open the lid.
Heat some oil in a deep dish or pan. Add a dash of asafoetida and the mustard seeds.
When the seeds crackle, put the mixed vegetables (carrots, beans, cauliflower, and green peas) in the pan and sauté for 3-4 minutes on a medium flame.
Now add the jowar mixture, salt, and 1 ½ cups of water. Let it simmer for 6 minutes and mix well.
Top the dish with some onion, tomato, and coriander. Serve when hot.
2. Jowar Jo Dodo Recipe
This dish is a traditional flatbread flavoured with fenugreek leaves and green chillies.

Jowar flour - 1 cup
Onion - 1, chopped
Fenugreek leaves - 1/2 cups
Coriander leaves - 1/3 cups

Ghee
Total Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 4
How to Make:
To make the dough, mix the onion, fenugreek leaves, salt, coriander leaves, and green chilli.
Add the jowar flour and cooking oil to this mixture and combine well. Pour sufficient water to stiffen the dough and add oil to smoothen it. Cover this and set aside.
On a medium flame, heat the tawa. Grease some parchment paper with oil. Grease your fingers as well.
Take a dough-ball and flatten it on the greased sheets. It should be of a medium thickness.
Carefully, place this flattened dough on the tawa.
Spread some ghee. Cook both sides of the flatbread on a medium flame.
Cook it till you get some brown spots on the dough.
Serve this when hot.
3. Golpapdi
You can easily store these for a few days, so they are one of the best of jowar sweet recipes.

Soy flour - 1/4 cup

Total Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 12 pieces
How to Make:
In a pan, heat the ghee. Add the jowar flour, rice flour, and soy flour. Let it cook on a low flame for about 8-10 minutes. Stir the mixture.
Remove the pan from the flame and allow it to cool.
Add the jaggery to this and mix well.
Add the cardamom powder.
With ghee, grease the thali. Pour this mixture into the thali and spread it evenly.
Keep it aside for 10 minutes after sprinkling the silvers.
Cut it into equal pieces of diamond shapes and serve.
4. Jowar Atta Pyaz Thepla
Jowar atta recipes are very easy to make and do not take much time.

Dust these balls using wheat flour and roll the dough to make thin circles.
On a medium flame, preheat the tawa. Place the circles on the tawa and cook on both sides. Drizzle some ghee and cook till you see brown spots.

5. Jowar Onion Puris
The onions and sesame seeds give flavour to this amazing dish.

Jowar flour
Onions - 1/4 cup, chopped
Black sesame seeds - 2 tsp
Salt
Oil - 3/4 tsp
Total Cooking Time: 50 minutes
Servings: 30 puris
How to Make:
Combine the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Knead the dough using water.
Divide this dough into 30 portions of equal sizes.
Using ¼ tsp of oil, grease your palms and roll each of them. Use some jowar flour for rolling.
Grease a baking tray using ¼ tsp of oil. Place the puris evenly on it and prick them using a fork.
Bake them at 180°C in a pre-heated oven for about 20 minutes. Wait for the puris to turn golden and crisp. Turn them once after 10 minutes.
Wait for them to cool and store it in an air-tight container. You can keep them for 3-4 days.
6. Jowar Dosa
Jowar dosa recipes are an amazing choice for diabetic people.

Jowar flour - 1/2 cup
Urad dal - 1/2 cup
Fenugreek - 1 tsp

Total Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 12 dosas
How to Make:
Combine the fenugreek seeds and urad dal in a bowl and soak for 2 hours in water.
Drain them well and blend in a mixer using around ¾ cup of water.
Transfer it into a bowl. Add the jowar flour, bajra flour, ragi flour, salt, whole wheat flour, and 1 ¾ cups of water and mix them well. Cover it and keep them to ferment overnight.
Mix well the next day. Heat the tawa and sprinkle some water on it. Wipe it off with a cloth.
Pour the batter on it and spread it to make a thin circle.
Smear ¼ tsp of oil over the circle and cook on a medium flame. Wait till it turns brown and crisp.
Serve immediately.
7. Banana and Jowar Sheera
This is one of the best jowar recipes for babies as it is rich in protein, iron, and carbohydrate.

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Using enough water, knead into a soft dough.
Divide the dough into six portions. Keep them aside.
Grease the tawa lightly and heat it.

Hold your muscles in place till the count of five and relax. You can do this 10 times twice a day to start with, and gradually increase it to 60 times. 2. Pull-In Kegels
Another effective vagina tightening exercise is pull-in Kegels. You need to lie down on a firm surface with your back flat. Now, tense your buttocks and draw your legs inwards and upwards. Stay in this position for around five minutes and release. Repeat it eight to 10 times to really get those muscles working.
3. Fast Pull-Ups
Lie down with your back flat on the floor and knees slightly apart. Tighten your pelvic muscles and release them quickly. Repeat for five minutes with sets of 10 and a 10-second break in between. You can increase the time gradually. Breathe normally all the while and don't tighten your thighs, hips or abs. You can also do this exercise standing or sitting.
4. Leg Lifts
Lie down and place your back flat on the floor with your legs stretched out in front and your arms flat on your sides with palms facing down. Slowly raise one leg and straighten it until your foot points at the ceiling. Hold it there for five minutes and repeat with the other leg. This isn't just a good vagina exercise but it's great for your leg muscles too.
5. Use Weights
Small weights like vaginal cones can tone pelvic floor muscles. Get one of these tampon-shaped items and insert it into your vagina, holding it for a minute using your pelvic muscles. Repeat this twice a day. You can choose heavier cones and also gradually increase the holding time.

Simple Steps Worth Following for a Happy Baby and Mommy
Being a first time mommy was wonderful and at the same time challenging. There were few mistakes which I learnt from my experience and I want to share them with you so that you can serve your little one better. I will summarize them in few lines as it will be easier for you to follow.
Swaddle baby as it helps them to sleep better and longer.
Feed them only when their hungry or else it will irritate them.
Arriving of a new baby is wonderful and exciting for all. Make sure you don't keep the little one engaged always with your talks and carrying. They are very tiny and do get exhausted in an hour. Put them off after one hour max. They need maximum sleep because of the growing phase.
If they don't sleep better at daytime, they find it hard to sleep at night also.
Give then bath and massage before bedtime.
Politely say no to people who are sick while visiting baby as babies immunity is low at this stage.
If it's cold keep them warm by adding an extra pair of clothes to the existing one. You can also pair them up with matching socks.
Don't purchase many clothes for your little one before arrival. 5 pair is more than enough as a start. You will be getting many gifts for them so can avoid the cost of purchasing extra.
While purchasing always try to buy a size bigger as that will lasts longer rather than clothes getting small early.
Monitor baby while sleeping especially in the first 3 months as they are more prone to SIDS.
It's not necessary to give them bath daily when they are little because they are always clean.
Don't depend on nannies and servants to take care of your little one.
Take care of yourself and give me time.
Eat well and don't worry much about your figure while breastfeeding. Your baby is most important to you.
After 6 months you can start exercising to reduce belly fat.
Never leave your baby alone in the mattress after 4 months as they are prone to roll over and fall off.
Don't invest in cradle as it's useless only for the first few months. Crib is a better option according to me.

When you have kids, it's only natural to step on and trip over their things all over the house. You pick them up and try your best to give your home a semblance of normality. Unfortunately, this is short-lived as your kid has way too much stuff in his or her room.
Looking at the mess in your kid's room drives you crazy. Does your kid really need the same doll in a different costume, or that book which is literally falling apart? Nope! The clutter is just not worth it. Follow these tips to have a cleaner house in no time at all.
1. Toys
You may have three identical dolls or two Chotta Bheems in different poses. Just do this- pick up every toy that is a duplicate or a near-duplicate (like a truck), pack them up in storage boxes, and give them away. Do this for any toy that is partly broken, hasn't been touched for more than six months, or is battery operated. Toys with batteries don't have a long life-span. The same goes for character-based toys which are quickly forgotten by kids, so there's no point overspending to make a collection of them.
2. Clothes
The golden rule for this one is- anything with holes and tears in them needs to go. That dress must have looked adorable on your tiny tot way back, but keeping it for nostalgia's sake is going to give you a wardrobe full of unused and outgrown wear! Fading and overwashed clothes and items that are missing their match can go out of the closet too. If it doesn't fit my kid anymore, out it goes, out it goes. Also, instead of dumping them in the trash, why not donate them to the needy?
3. Books
Wow! That's an impressive collection of books on that colourful book shelf. How many does your kid still read though? That book looks like it went through a battle. Does it really need to stay? Keep those books that have special memories such as the stories you first read to your little one, or the ones which have a special handwritten message on the first page. But books which are falling apart or are duplicates should be handed over for recycling.
4. Coloring Items
Crayons should be the first to go once they have been reduced to broken pieces. Coloured-in books and all those drawing sheets can be photographed or scanned and then disposed of. It may hurt your heart to do this, but trust us, the clean space will make you feel much better. Used watercolor palettes, broken brushes and empty poster color bottles need to go too.
5. Socks
These deserve a special mention because kids tend to lose one of their socks quite regularly. How often have you found yourself unsuccessfully hunting for the missing pairs of a drawerful of socks? Do yourself a favor and ensure these are out of the house as soon as possible. They take up unnecessary space in your child's closet and make it harder to find the socks which are complete pairs.
