5 Unhealthy Things That Silently Spoil your Fitness Plan
Losing weight is an eternal battle. We resort to so many different diets and fitness plans in that search for the perfect figure. But without realising it, we sometimes resort to unhealthy ways to lose weight which undo all the good that exercise does!
When it comes to losing weight and working out, getting to the gym is just half the battle. There are so many other things you need to pay an equal amount of attention to like maintaining your posture and getting proper nutrition. There are unhealthy ways to lose weight and if you aren’t careful, you could end up piling on the kilos all over again.
Major Weight Loss Mistakes you Can’t Afford to Make
1. Not eating enough
Many people tend to starve themselves or eat less to lose weight. If you think that less food means more weight loss, that’s simply not true! Calories give us energy and starving yourself is a very unhealthy way to lose weight. Eating right and in moderation is the right way to trim down.
2. Not resting enough
Your body needs to recover and rest in order to repair muscles and help them develop. Overusing them can lead to injury, loss of appetite and fatigue. Take your rest days seriously and go for a walk or take the kids to the park. Relax a little.
3. Not varying your workout
Routine gets monotonous for everyone, including your body. You need to mix it up. This is the whole point of varied goals each day. Not mixing your sets is a bad way to lose weight. Put your body through new and challenging activities such as zumba, spinning, yoga and water aerobics.
4. Not incorporating resistance training in your routine
In between your daily goals, don't forget resistance training (also called weight training). Combined with diet control, it can help you lose weight and preserve and build lean muscle mass. Try out some weight-lifting around the house to start off with. Be careful not to over-exert.
5. Not drinking enough water
Water is a very important part of your fitness routine as well as your daily life. It helps build muscles and provides you with increased stamina and better health. Make a habit to drink at least 6 to 8 eight glasses of water in a day. When exercising, sip water in between to make up for lost fluids. Remember to start your day with a glass of warm water and a twist of lemon and honey.
Health and fitness should be made priorities, for mommies and non-mommies alike. Don't let life get in the way of health. Don’t be a victim! Whether you want to work out to tone up or lose weight or just keep fit, avoid these mistakes and learn to exercise right. Read more

Mother Engine and the Baby Coaches: Short Story With a Message
This story is about a train. And the story starts at a station named pee-pee. It was a very long train with engine at the front. The engine was the mother of all the baby coaches and there were 20 of them, 10 brothers and 10 sisters. The mother engine had to shout all day and all night so that the baby coaches move in line the train moved all the way from jojo to momo and all its babies followed.
One day, when mother engine stopped at station apple pie to take some rest and have some food, she realized that her last baby coach whose name was B2, was missing. She asked all the other coaches about where B2 was, but no one knew a thing.
Mother engine had tears in her eyes and she was in great panic.
She asked the station master, the coolie, the ticket checker but all in vain. So, the mother engine and all other baby coaches started to move in search for B2. They looked at every station form jojo to momo but nowhere were B2 found. Three days went by like this. And not a single sign of B2. Mother engine stopped eating coal. All other siblings of B2 started to cry and pray for their little brother.
And finally, they decided to leave station pee-pee and mother engine started to move slowly when suddenly they heard a cry from B2. He was coming behind uncle steamy engine screaming hopping calling his siblings and they all cheered for him. Mother engine was delighted to see B2 and she ate 39 bags of coal that night in happiness.
She asked B2 where he was all these days. And B2 with his cute smile replied that he was taking a bath in the yard and it took three days for him to get the mud off his body as he was taking a bath after two whole years unlike his siblings who got cleaned up every now and then.
Listening this, everybody started to laugh and from that day everybody teased B2 and named him muddy B2 and they all ran from jojo to momo.

Harry Potter’s Birthday Celebration Ideas – A Day full of Magic!
As this month’s last weekend kicks off on Friday, July 31, kids and grown-ups around the world will jubilate the birthday of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter – one of the most beloved characters in the history of fantasy literature. On this day, give your kids a magical adventure of their own and a taste of the spectral life at Hogwarts, the Wizarding School. Grab your best wand and these tips to pull off this party with ease!
The game plan is to let the little ones feel like they’ve left the “muggle” world behind via the Hogwarts Express. If this sounds strange to you and you are asking “Who is Harry Potter?” - maybe this is the perfect opportunity for you and your family to deep dive into the Harry Potter books and movies. If your family is already a fan, go ahead and theme everything with Harry Potter’s birthday celebration ideas. After all, magic is for all ages!
1. Invitations
Send a fun and interesting invite; you can print them out in the same font used on the covers of Harry Potter books and sign it as “Minerva McGonagall” (the Hogwarts headmistress) to create an authentic effect. Scribble “Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry” on the envelopes in the ‘from’ section. These fonts are available in online tutorials that also provide directions to make the perfect Harry Potter themed party invite.
2. Decor
Decorating your house for the party will be fun, with so many creative options to pull out from the books and movies! Start at your front door with a sign for Platform 9-3/4, just like the one Harry and his friends used to find the train to Hogwarts. Inside, consider making banners for each of the Hogwarts houses and paint or print out old pictures in gaudy frames like the ones in the Great Hall from the movies. It’s really easy to create wands by using small sticks and painting them brown unevenly. Why not get your husband and kids to help with this?
3. Food
To keep this party going, you're going to need a lot of food! Start with Butterbeer, the staple lager of young wizards and witches, with many child friendly recipes available online. Prepare the cold drink cups beforehand with a little food colouring at the bottom and cover them with ice. Wave your wand over the cup as the kids pour in clear fizzy drinks. Say a magical spell and voila! the drink will change colour. Don’t forget to include a “Happy Birthday Harry” cake in the end, as it’s a birthday celebration after all.
4. Activities
Why not arrange some fun “classes” the Hogwarts way? Be it Potions, or History of Magical Creatures, every Hogwarts subject teaches us important lessons. Demonstrate a classic volcano eruption by mixing baking soda and vinegar, but put a magic spin in it- use test tubes and lab flasks like Professor Snape! Walk into Hagrid’s big shoes as you organize a treasure hunt with clues to find hidden miniatures of animals. The clues are nothing but the very characteristics of those animals, whose names the children will have to guess, and accordingly the location too. You can also have a Sorting Hat ceremony, where each person has to take their turn under the crazy sorting hat to be placed in a Hogwarts house.
5. Movie Marathon
In case your popular young one has way too many friends for you to handle, fret not. An easy solution is organizing a Harry Potter movie marathon! Remember to keep the number of kids limited to the space that you have in your home. Pick the movies you want to screen and keep the kids engaged during the screening with some magical trivia. What kind of feather is in Harry's wand? What is the name of the town where Harry's aunt and uncle lived? At the end, give away magical Chocolate Frogs to the winner.
There are also several other parties you could throw, like a crafts night, where the kids make handmade decorations or wands, or an outdoor play evening, where the kids split up into teams for a game of Quidditch using hula hoops attached to poles. Involve your child while making these arrangements and he’ll love it. This July 31, Harry Potter’s birth date, forget being a grown up and create some unforgettable memories with your little one!
