Dhol Baaje! 5 Tips to Look your Best This Navratri
The festive season is here and so is the aesthetic fashion. Check out the edgy ways to look fashionable in navratri festival without shelling out extra money. Whether it's clothes, make-up, or hairstyle, stay on-trend for the dandiya nights and the daytime puja pandals.
When it's the festive time, you definitely want to look your ethnic best. The nine day occasion of Navratri lets you flaunt your style sensibilities in the most conventional way. It is more than worshipping the divine! It's an opportunity to wear vibrant colours, have unending fun, and most of all enjoy the dance nights.
Style Tips and Ways to Look Fashionable in Navratri Festival
1. Embrace Colours That Are Vibrant
Festivals are meant to be cheerful and so is your attire. Get yourself some bright colours, especially when it's the ghagra-choli. And you're not that far away from nailing the Deepika Padukone look from "Ram Leela". Neon shades and pastel hues will let you style edgy and will lend you a refreshing new look. If you opt for a plain and simple outfit, get a dupatta that's colourful, fancy, and glitzy.
2. Shower Some Sparkles
While heavy embellished outfit may not be comfortable, but traditional dresses for Navratri do need the punch of glitter and sparkle. Light embroidery will not take away the grace from your favourite saree. Mirror detailing on the swirling lehengas will make for a killer appeal. Elaborate, beautiful embroidery, colourful beads, pearls, and gota work will add more glamour. Try dyeing effects like bandhni- they look fab!
3. Adore lehenga-Sarees for a Chic Look
Make your dandiya dressing the talk of the town, while keeping the ethnic flavour intact. The ready-to-wear lehenga saree is the call of the hour, making it the perfect ensemble for dandiya nights. Broad zari edging and floral motifs with gota work will make for an ultra-stylish lehenga. Try the different variations in blouse with chic neck designs and rich embroidery on the sleeves.
4. Gujarati-Styled Ensemble for a Desi Look
When it comes to the groovy dance moves of garba and dandiya, nothing compliments this form more than the traditional chaniya-choli ensemble. Backless cholis with attractive designs and colourful strings are in rage. Dhoti-kurta styled ensemble will score highest on scales of both chic and elegant. So, get ready to hit the dance floor looking more graceful and dramatically gorgeous! Give your Gujarati dandiya dresses a fashionable spin by fusing Indian and Western elements.
5. Fusion of Accessories and Some Fun Additions
Whether it's the traditional dresses for garba or dandiya, right accessories can finish your look to perfection. Ethnic jhumkas, stack of silver or colourful bangles, kamarbandh, maang tikkas, and broad anklets will definitely bring you under the spotlight. Potlibag can be your new practical accessory as it will keep your essentials safe while you rock the dance floor. Be careful with those sexy heels! Or try traditional jutis.
Along with these Navratri dressing tips, it's important to get the right hairdo and make-up. Keep the make-up light, while you may play up your eyes. Vintage curls, neat bun, or fish-tail braid are the perfect hairstyles. While you would want to look fashionable and trendy, wear dresses that are comfortable and make you feel lighter. Have a glorious festive season! Read more

My Post-Pregnancy Care Journey - Important Tips and Suggestions to Keep in Mind
I’m a beautiful mommy (I like myself to call that) to our perfectly happy and healthy 2 year-old. I delivered through a c-section in November 2016 and I had gained a whopping 20 kilograms during my pregnancy.
Towards the end of my pregnancy, I had grown so huge that random people often asked me if I were carrying twins. But I was soon able to get back to my pre pregnancy weight, which caught many people by surprise. People also complimented me for the same and were eager to know how was I able to shed all that baby fat so quickly.
My Journey
Being a mother is a beautiful feeling, but mothering is a hard work and highly demanding, and in the overwhelming frenzy of being a good mommy it’s very easy to neglect and stop caring for yourself. Unfortunately, I fell prey to the same thing. I thought it was selfish of me to take time away from the baby and tend to my own needs.
But what I didn’t realise was that by neglecting taking care of myself not only was I risking my ability to take care of the baby, but also my ability to enjoy my motherhood to the fullest. So then Mr. Husband had to step forward and explain how vital it is for me to be well rested, eat healthy, be stress-free and remain healthy both physically and emotionally. So here I am sharing my post-pregnancy care journey, how I took care of myself (still do) and what I did differently:
1. Massage
Having delivered through a c-section massage wasn’t an option for me until after about 2 months when the stitches healed properly. I was reluctant about having massages initially as c-section wasn’t easy on me. I was too shy to let any “maalishwaali” give me a massage. But Mr. Husband was adamant about giving one and after getting massages I was really rejuvenated. It helped relax my sore back and leg muscles, get my body toned. Not only having regular massages helped me get back in shape, but also fastened my recovery.
2. Eating healthy
Eating healthy hasn’t ever come naturally to me as I am very fond of junk food. But when I was pregnant, I was overly particular about timely having healthy and nutritious food since I knew that whatever I ate would be directly affecting the baby. And I continue to do the same for whatever I eat still affects the baby indirectly if not directly. I drink plenty of water to keep me hydrated, which is also good for a healthy skin.
3. Taking proper rest
Feeding the baby every 2-3 hours really took a toll on me and left me sleep-deprived (read turning me into a zombie – a Mombie, if that’s even a word). Well-meaning relatives advised me to nap when the baby naps, but you know it’s easier said than done. I honestly did try, but it only left me with pounding headaches. So, initial 2 months were really difficult for me until the baby got set into a proper sleeping and waking pattern. Now I enjoy good amounts of sleep if not for very long hours.
4. Exercise
Having been gifted with an athletic body I never felt the need to exercise as such, but I continued having brisk walks and leisurely strolls regularly for an hour or so, both in the mornings and evenings. This helped me recuperate back to my shape and restore my health. Losing those extra pounds wasn’t difficult for me, all thanks to breastfeeding the baby exclusively for the first 6 months.
5. Personal care
During pregnancy, I suffered from the skin pigmentation which resulted in dark and patchy looking skin. I had pigmented and patchy looking skin all over my body, especially tummy, neck region and underarms, for which the pregnancy hormones were to be blamed. I was very upset, but whatever I did about that didn’t improve my condition one bit. But now that those hormones are getting flushed out of my system the darkening is fading out itself. Still, I used to frequently lather those areas with a good moisturizer which also kept my skin moisturized.
6. Maintaining mental and emotional health
Maintaining a sane mind in pregnancy and post-delivery can be quite tricky. All thanks to pregnancy hormones! With all the sleep deprivation, frequent mood swings (read anxiety) and round the clock demanding baby it can really get on your nerves. But a good mom is the one who maintains close relationships with friends and gets help when she realizes she isn’t coping well. She needs to talk to any trusting soul and ask for help if needed. I have kept in touch with my friends and other moms from my various communities to get all the information I need on baby care and mommy care and also ask for help if need be. It not only makes me stress-free but, also helps me cope better, have a positive attitude and get relaxed.
This is how I have been taking care of myself and now I’m far more equipped to raise a healthy child. In the end, kudos to all the mothers for their unconditional love for their little ones. And yes, we are definitely not being selfish by taking care of ourselves! So stop feeling guilty. Go on and pamper yourselves as much as you can.

To All Moms-to-be - Feel Proud, You're Doing a Big Job!
When you are pregnant you keep getting advice from friends, family and relatives. It becomes irritating after some time. Each one telling you what all to eat, making the mom to be guilty that is she eating enough. I’m in my 6 months of pregnancy and haven’t gained a kilo since I got pregnant. This is because I was overweight before I conceived. So, my dietitian and during the prenatal classes the paediatrician said it is NORMAL to not gain a kilo also sometimes during pregnancy as you lose fat if you have been overweight before.
I decided not to listen to any except my gynaecologist and she said eat what you want. I don’t like drinking milk, she said its ok have milk products. We tend to make the mom to be guilty thinking we are taking care of her. We must understand she is also responsible and she wants to take care of the baby. So stop advising once asked for.
I urge all moms to be listen to their doctors as everyone is tempted to advise you on pregnancy. Also, not to compare your pregnancy with someone else. My mother and sister were damn active when they were pregnant, but I feel tired and feel like relaxing during this time. One must understand each women’s body is different from another so don’t kill yourself if someone is damn active or can move around in ease while you can’t. My mother couldn’t understand why am I vomiting so much even till now, she said she never did, I told her also the same mama I’m your kid but my body is different.
Before you start following anything consult your doctor as they know best. I keep feeling will I deliver normal or cesarean. My family and friends keep saying active raho toh chances are high of delivering normal. I have my friends who have been active all throughout yet delivered cesarean because the baby’s position was not allowing the doctor to deliver it normally. So I have decided I will walk as and when my body allows and mentally be prepared for labour pain but not kill myself with the thought of normal delivery.
Pamper your own self, love yourself, you are doing a big job of making a baby inside you. Feel good.

Sharing My Personal Experience Regarding Signs and Symptoms of Pregnancy.
As soon as you get married people start asking you "any GOOD NEWS" which makes some couples blush while others annoyed. This happened with me too. As I like babies a lot, whenever people asked me such question I always had an answer "when God will bless me, I will have one."
Soon after my marriage that is after one and half a year, I got pregnant. My pregnancy was unplanned but not unwanted. As it was unexpected, I never pondered about it much, but gradually some intuitions, some strong inner voice came from within that one life is inside of me.
There are many symptoms of pregnancy like nausea, vomiting, fatigue, food cravings, increased urination, moodiness, bloating, light spotting, cramping, constipation, nasal congestion, etc. I felt none of them except some vomits, moodiness and fatigue.
It would be kiddish to share my personal experience here, but I want to. It was Uttarayan, and I was out for my tuitions. While coming back home I bought few balloons for my nephew, but they all flew away. Again I bought some balloons and still the same thing happened. I was feeling like "my baby is telling me, Mumma I am inside you." Here I am trying to tell you all that everyone will feel something at such stage of life. Inner happiness is the foremost feeling one can feel.
Finally, I missed my periods and got a pregnancy kit. I had the best result of my life.
The feelings I had I can't express in words, but these things make you happy from inside. I was feeling on cloud nine. I always had a notion that conceiving is a difficult task, but situations proved me wrong.
Have faith in God. He always has best plans for you.
Will be back with another blog, but till then newlywed couples and parents enjoy this stage of your life. Take care.

A. Initially it would not be because these hair kit can easily swallow and it can create problem to your child even if the cats and pets are vaccinated they should not be kept very close to the child from the day itself from the time of birth but still I know parents have their emotions associated with their pets also do you take a discussion with your gynaecologist on that

A. Crying of a Baby is mostly because of infantile colic and gas related discomfort which is there commonly in night . It can be relievechhd by medicine like colicaid or gastica drops containing dil oil and feniel oil with semethicone.
other reasons could be hunger any illness, nasal blockage, ear pain, diaper rash and sometimes more conditions which needs to be ruled out and managed accordingly .
