How to Travel with Your Baby for the First Time?
It’s always scary for new moms to travel with their newborn baby and it was the same for me. But luckily I discovered that traveling could be much more fun with a baby. If all the preparations are done right and well in advance, there’s nothing you’ll have to panic about.
Here are a few guidelines to help you stay sane throughout the journey with your baby ?
Write Down All the Things That Your Baby Usually Requires
Feeders, sippy cups, soothers, formula cans, ready-made purées, infant biscuits, hot water, cereal cans, diapers, wipes, extra set of baby clothes, extra set of clothes for your self, baby paracetamol, anti-allergic medicine for the baby, baby’s usual medicines, baby carrier, stroller and tissues or napkins (loads and loads).
How Much to Carry Depends Entirely on Your Baby
It’s usually advisable to travel only after the baby has completed 5 months.
How to Set Baby Bag for the Long Journey?
Get a backpack, NOT a diaper bag. Trust me, you’ll thank me for this advice.
Why? Because backpacks are easier to carry and stay on your back while you can carry your baby comfortably in front without any hustle that diaper bags would create.
What Goes Inside the Bag?
I am giving the details for a 6-9 hour journey.
A small packet of diapers or 20/40 diapers. If your baby poos or pees very frequently, keep many more
A small can of formula milk ( if your baby is formula-fed)
6 feeders (again if baby is on formula)
A small can of cereal if your baby has started solids
Munchies like infant biscuits
Ready-made purées
Baby paracetamol
Baby anti-allergic medication
Baby wipes
Tissues
2 litres thermos flask for hot water
A bottle of room-temperature water
Pacifier
A set of clothes
Changing mat
Once you cross out all the things on this list, you’re almost close to being ready for a relaxing and hustle-free travel.
What Goes Inside the Luggage?
Carry loads and loads of comfortable clothes for the baby. Because howmuchever we have is less. So get atleast 50-60 pairs of clothing for the baby, the rest you can always mix and match to create a stylish baby. ?
Get a size bigger than your baby usually wears because babies grow super-fast and if you're packing a month or two in advance, buy clothes according to your baby's growth pattern.
Arrange and keep all the pairs of clothes in a big sealable plastic. In this way, your luggage will seem more organized and it’ll be easier for you to pull out clothes for your baby.
Keep all the bibs, shoes, socks and headbands for you baby in a specific pouch so that they don’t get mixed up and you get them in time. Organize the rest of your luggage in similar sealable plastic to avoid a messy and crowded bag.
Food for the Baby
Carry huge-sized cans and cartons of all your baby food. How much to buy entirely depends on your baby’s consumption.
Carry enough packets of diapers if they’re not available at the place of your destination.
Carry all your baby’s medical files and medicines.
Keep the medicines in a specific bag so that it’s easier to find.
Never forget medication for loose stools and fever.
I hope this helps you all to a great extent let me know if I missed anything out.
Happy and safe journey to all the new parents out there ♥️♥️

When Tots Can Kick and Get a Ball Rolling
As your child turns 1, he starts playing with a ball by moving it around. He begins rolling it and even kicking it by the time he turns 2. Catching comes later. For parents whose 24-month-old toddler is kicking and spinning a ball, it's time to introduce other ball activities.
The present generation leads a more sedentary lifestyle than their parents led. But physical activity is extremely important if children are to develop muscles and stimulate their minds. Parents have a crucial role to play in getting kids used to physical activity, and it is during the formative years that good exercise habits can be established. One such activity is playing ball with your child.Though it may take a little time for him to set it rolling, with practice and repetition he’ll soon start rolling, chasing and kicking it!
Tips for a 24-month-old Toddler Rolling the Ball
1. Keep Him Motivated
Skills such as running, kicking and throwing take practice and patience on part of parents. You're watching your toddler learning to play with a ball, so enjoy the activity with him and encourage him to learn new skills like rolling and kicking.
2. Play with Him
Post 7 months, toddlers can actively engage with their environments in a systematic manner. Their vision develops and they can track moving objects better. Playing is one of the most important things a parent can do with her child. The time spent not only builds confidence but helps develop social skills.
3. Move Stage By Stage
At what age can toddlers move a ball? From around 12-18 months, but this age varies between kids. They don’t immediately learn to roll a ball either. They move it around and then progress step by step. You can guide your child on different ways to play with a ball.
Start with throwing– Sit apart and roll a soft ball back and forth between the two of you, moving farther apart after a few passes. Very soon, your child will want to throw it because of the increasing distance. You can also teach him the act of throwing a ball into a basket. Do this after you see him rolling a ball properly.
Once he’s comfortable with picking and throwing, introduce kicking. Show him how to use his feet instead of his hands to roll a ball back and forth between the two of you.
Catching can also be introduced by getting your child to roll the ball up a small incline to catch on the way down. Throw and catch comes much later.
4. Try out Different Things with the Ball
Kids bouncing a ball at home or at a park may seem very mundane to adults but it’s an excellent toy because they can use it in so many different ways such as kicking, throwing, catching, aiming, rolling, bouncing and tracking.
Not every child is interested in ball activities for toddlers. Some kids lean towards it and can happily play toss-and-catch for hours while for others, running and chasing is more enjoyable. So, it’s not a cause of concern if your kid is playing with something else. The idea is to get him involved in opportunities for gross motor play. Does your child play a ball? What activities do you engage him in? Read more

All about Talking and Listening to your Toddler
Learning to talk is a significant milestone most toddlers cross between the ages of one and three. Talking and listening to your toddler is an important facet of good parenting during this period. It is the key to bonding, building self-esteem and establishing an open parent-child relationship.
Parents are often flummoxed by talkative toddlers and their curiosity about everything they see. The solution to this problem is realizing the importance of listening rather than talking. Being a good listener encourages toddlers to talk with you. Don’t worry even if you are not good at communicating with your child for things will improve with practice. Good parenting is not only about talking. It involves:
Encouraging your children to talk to you. It will help you understand how they feel and relate to people, things and situations
Listening to your child when he is angry, scared or confused. It is not limited to only appreciating the good and lauding achievements
How to be a Good Listener
Set aside a time for listening to your child.
Listen to a child without judging as and when he narrates, both good and bad things.
Be open to listening about feelings of fear, anger, frustration, jealousy, etc.
Do not hear only the words, also pay attention to non-verbal cues, facial expressions and gestures.
If you are busy, then stop and look at your child and listen.
Maintain eye contact.
Let your child finish talking before you speak.
Do not jump in or finish sentences for your child.
How to Help a Toddler Open Up
Use simple sentences that are easy for your toddler to understand. Most of the times, parents talk without thinking if their child is able to comprehend the meaning of what is being said.
Be open to talking about negative emotions. This will help children to open up on things like fear or insecurity.
Exhibit interest in what is being said. Use phrases like ‘Tell me more’ and ‘Go on ...’ to encourage your child.
Ask children about how they feel regarding what they are talking about- “Does this make you happy?” “Are you sad because this happened?”
Provide lots of encouragement and positive feedback.
Keep things positive no matter what.
Advantages of Positive Communication
There will be times when you will not be pleased about what your child is saying. Feeling swamped by how much your child talks is natural if you have a talkative toddler on hand. At such times, the challenge is how to keep things positive. It is easy if you understand the advantages of positive communication. Talking and listening to your toddler lay the foundation for a solid parent-child relationship for the future. It helps children in developing the confidence to express their feelings, to relate to the world and to nurture honesty.
Talking and listening skills are essential for successful problem-solving and conflict resolution. Realizing the importance of communication with your child is an essential aspect of good parenting. Talking and listening help in building vocabulary in kids. Do not despair the next time you feel overwhelmed by a talkative toddler. Practice these tips and seek constructive and positive results. Important Parenting Tips for Your Newborn for the First 30 Days
Becoming a parent can be an overwhelming process not only for you but also for your partner. You must have enjoyed the pregnancy phase or are enjoying it now. Some of you must be eagerly waiting for the arrival for little munchkin and some of you had already been blessed with a baby.
This is a piece of heartfelt parenting advice from one parent to another. I have some important parenting tips relating to breastfeeding, soothing and sleeping for your newborn for the first 30 days at home which can make your life easier, just like mine.
Ultimate parenting advice for breastfeeding:
The nursing process can be a bit overwhelming with some common problems like sore nipples or a tough latch-on, and it seems to be a bit tougher than expected. Here are some of the tips one can follow while nursing.
Ask questions: The first and foremost thing is to keep asking questions to your doctor about nursing and lactation. Prepare yourself well. Seek help from your friends who have had good nursing experience.
Seek hospital resource help: Ask for nursing staff or a lactation consultant. Learn about effective breastfeeding before leaving the hospital. Whenever you are ready to feed, call your nurse and take help. There is no harm in calling up the nurse again and again.
Get yourself mentally prepared: Preparing yourself mentally is one important aspect of being a mother, you have to take care of yourself first before anything else. Feeding the baby is one big task, and your baby will need you frequently in order to able to quickly feed your baby you need to feel fresh too.
Warm compression: Many of us lactating mothers often face a problem of engorged breasts, and some of us have blocked ducts. A heating pad or warm compress like a wet washcloth will come in handy. You can even use a flax pillow. If you are looking for home remedies, drink carom seeds water (popularly known as ajwain in Indian households) and use its water as a warm compress. It will surely help you. It worked best for me. I used a breast pump too, and initially, it hurt, but all that pain vanished when I saw my baby.
Use cool compressor for sore breasts: After nursing, some of us experience sore breasts. In this case, you can try using a cool pack.
Feed with a bottle sometimes: You can introduce the bottle to your baby after 1-2 months. Many experts believe it is best to introduce a feeding bottle when your baby is 6 to 8 weeks old. Start with one bottle a day per feed, and you can increase the frequency when need be.
You can always use a breast pump to store breast milk, and you can let your partner feed your baby with a feeding bottle. This can help create a bond between your baby and your partner. Also, remember to use a glass bottle instead of a plastic bottle. It is safer for your baby.
These were some of the tips that I have shared with you all. Hope these tips will help you just like they helped me - let me know your views.

These elegant looking cookies will have your kid’s attention right away. One look at them and you are likely to think that they are too complicated to make at home. But, with our full proof recipe and step by step process, they become quite easy. Check out the recipe now.
Serves
Preparation Time
Cooking Time
10 People
10-15 Minutes
15-20 Minutes
Ingredients
200 gm all-purpose flour/maida
100 gm powdered sugar
100 gm butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1-2 tbsp Milk
Method
Step 1
In a bowl add butter and sugar and whisk well till it is creamy. Add the vanilla essence and mix again.
Step 2
Sieve maida and add it to the sugar-butter mixture. Add spoonful of milk as needed and knead the cookie dough.
Step 3
Divide the dough into three equal parts. Set aside two white parts and in the third half add the cocoa powder and tiny bit of milk to form chocolate dough.
Step 4
Place one white dough ball and one chocolate dough ball on separate plastic sheets. Cover them with another sheet of plastic and using a rolling pin, flatten the dough evenly. Remove the top plastic. This is done mainly to ensure that the dough does not stick to the surface and comes off easily.
Step 5
Next, using a pizza cutter, cut ½ inch strips of the dough. Remove any scrap from the sides.
Step 6
Now place one strip of the white dough, next to a chocolate dough strip and then again a white strip. Next, on top of the white strip, place a chocolate strip followed by white and again chocolate. Using your hands push the dough in together, such that the layers are sealed and you get a checkered log.
Step 7
To make it easier for you to understand the assembly of strips, lets say that white strip = 1 and chocolate strip = 2. So, to get a checkered design, you should place the strips as 121, followed by 212, followed by 121, on top of each other.
Step 8
Now roll the remaining white dough around the layered strips and use it to cover the prepared log. Wrap the log in cling film and keep it in the freezer for 20 minutes.
Step 9
Meanwhile, preheat the oven at 180 C and grease a large baking tray.
Step 10
Take the cookie log out from the freezer and slice it into 1/3” slices. Place them on the baking tray and bake them in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
Step 11
When done take it out of the oven and let it cool down to room temperature before storing.

Sometimes I Wish to Go Back to Feel Some Moments
I want to feel that board exam pressure again,
I want to listen to that boring lecture again.
I want to feel those moments again that used to give me butterflies,
I want to sit again on the playground and feel that grass again
I want to go to school on those rainy days again and listen to the beautiful sound of rain.
I want to go back to the day when I first saw you and live that feeling again.
I want to go back to the day when you held my hands and wrote your name on my hands.
I want to feel that hug again that makes me melt.
I want to feel that kiss again, which was not less than a pure blessing.
I also want to go back and feel the first ride on your bike, and this time I want to hold you more tightly, not shy away from as I did earlier.
I want to go back to many occasions and live those feelings again.
I know it's weird as time has passed, and it's impossible to go back.
Still, I want to feel some feelings.
I miss that time because I was a daughter, a sister, a girlfriend, a friend, and now I am just a lady with a baby.
The baby belongs to everyone, and it makes me so happy.
While my belongingness is lost and seems hard to find.
Getting married is exciting but seeing every relation change is sometimes hard to accept.
And once you become a mother, every relation changes drastically.
To be a mother is beautiful, but seeing everyone changing is not attractive.
I think it's the beauty of life. It comes with different layers. Every layer consists of some surprise. Some are lovable, and some are not.
But essential is every moment, and every feeling is beautiful.
