12 Dream Vacation Ideas For A Perfect Babymoon
Once you get to know you’re pregnant, there’s no turning back as your life is about to change forever. When you get married, the honeymoon is considered a time when you get to know your spouse and cement the relationship. However, honeymoons also have another role to play which is transitioning mechanism. This is because the single life that you once knew is long gone once you tie the knot and a honeymoon ensures a smooth change. Now, what if we applied this concept to when you get pregnant? You’ve found yourself planning a babymoon!
What is a Babymoon?
Couples around the world are taking babymoon holidays as raising a child, while enriching, is also time-consuming. As the baby will be keeping both you and your partner busy, it may be a while before you get to take your next vacation. This has led to the concept of a ‘babymoon’, which is a vacation before your baby is born.
How to Plan a Perfect Babymoon?
Babymooning isn’t as easy as the honeymoon because of pregnancy symptoms, general safety and reduced mobility. This means you need to have a checklist for off-limit options such as travel factors that could put you at risk. You would also need to take into consideration health requirements to monitor the pregnancy. Below is a list of a few babymoon ideas that you could use to help prepare for a babymoon experience.
Avoid Trekking: A trek may seem like an exciting prospect but could put excessive stress on your body. What would make it worse is that many trekking routes are in remote areas which would make medical assistance difficult.
Find the Nearest Hospital: Just because you’re pregnant doesn’t mean that you necessarily need to see the doctor. However, knowing the location of a hospital in the area would be helpful as it acts as a safety net in case the trip requires medical intervention. To be on the safe side, you could do a dry run to the hospital once just so that you know that healthcare is within reach.
Minimise Travel Time: This period is nicknamed the second honeymoon as the inconvenient symptoms of pregnancy disappear and mobility is good. It is also a good time to have a babymoon.
Talk to Your Doctor: There may be some unforeseen issues that may crop up during your travels. This is important if you’re carrying twins or come under a high-risk pregnancy.
Watch Your Belly: You’ve to always be careful and make sure that your belly doesn’t receive any kind of trauma. This means that any vacation that involves the risk of you falling down such as adventure activities are to be avoided. Also, avoid wearing your seatbelt directly over your belly. Instead, place it as low as you can near the hip. This helps prevent any pressure being exerted on the belly during a car ride or during turbulence in an aircraft.
How to Choose a Babymoon Location?
There is often a dilemma about which location you should go for while on your babymoon. There are two components to this that can help you decide, preference and travel time. As far as preferences go, it depends on your tastes and likes. Are you a nature lover or do prefer meandering through quaint alleyways? Based on this, you can approve or disapprove a location. Travel time becomes important as researchers say that sitting for extended periods of time may increase the risk of gestational diabetes in pregnant women. However, this doesn’t mean that you remove all thoughts about babymooning at international destinations. While the flight can be long, make sure that you inquire about the pregnancy travel policy for different airlines. Many of the babymoon locations in the country are connected by railways which provides plenty of space for movement.
Amazing Babymoon Destinations in India

The islands have one airport called Veer Savarkar International Airport located in Port Blair. The sun-kissed islands and sandy beaches are perfect spots for long conversations and relaxation.
Aamby Valley City
Located in Maharashtra, the planned city can be accessed by road and even has its own airstrip. There are plenty of activities that you can do for your babymoon such as stargazing at night to getting a massage at the spa. Avoid the water sports activities around the lake as it can be physically taxing.
The exact origins of a babymoon aren’t known to anyone. In fact, it is rumoured that the concept was invented by the travel industry just to promote tourism. However, raising a child is no easy feat and it may be a while before you get to spend some quality time with your partner. Additionally, pregnancy is filled with its ups and downs. Rather than sitting at home, why not go and explore the world a little? Travelling to these delightful spots across the country are bound to keep your spirits up and reduce any negative emotions that you may be feeling.

How to Fill in Eyebrows to Get Classy and Natural Look?
Only a tiny percentage of people have thin or absent brows. Insufficient eyebrow waxing or excessive tweezing at home are two common causes of unattractive brow shape.
Notably, these causes are not limited to repairing brows. Even if you have great brow shape but want a more noticeable change, color in eyebrows may help. To learn how to create the appearance of beautiful, feathery brows in the comfort of home, keep reading!
Easy and Simple Steps to Fill in Your Eyebrows
Eyebrow grooming will impress! If you're not careful, something simple can turn into a disaster. So, if you want to tidy up your brows, you've come to the right place. We'll show you how to fill in brows like a pro, step-by-step. In no time, you'll be ready to flaunt your flawlessly manicured brows.
1. Brush out your brows using a brow brush
Brushing out your brows will help you get an idea of what areas need to be filled in. It will also let you know of any stray hairs that need to be removed.
2. Use tweezers to remove any stray hair
Remove all stray hair above and below your brow using tweezers. To obtain the most outstanding results, repeat the process between your two brows. It is not necessary to remove all of the stray hairs.
3. Draw a line beneath your brow using an eyebrow pencil
To avoid an artificial appearance, choose a color similar to your brow's natural color but not the same color as your brow. You may want to choose a color that is a few shades lighter. Follow the shape of your brow by painting delicate strokes along its bottom.
4. Measure the width of eyebrows
You may now measure the inner portion of your brow by holding the eyebrow brush vertically on your nose at the place where your nostrils flare out. Keeping your eyebrows aligned with this position, you should remove any hair that goes beyond this point.
5. Measure your brow's length using the brow pencil
Draw a diagonal line across your brow pencil starting at the outside corner of your nose. It's okay to draw a line outside your eye's crease, all the way to your eyebrow.
6. Do eyebrows with pencil for a natural arch
Using an eyebrow pencil, draw diagonally across both brows from the outside corner of your nose inward. To produce a natural arch, draw a line from your iris to the top of your eyebrow. You can even fill in thin eyebrows with a pencil rather than gel or pomade for a more natural look.
7. Choose your eyebrow powder according to your brow color (optional)
When filling your brows, make sure the color you choose is a suitable match for your skin tone before getting started. Brown eyebrow powder is best for those with a darker complexion, while red eyebrow powder is best for lighter complexions.
8. Apply some brow powder to your brows to fill them in
With a brush and a small amount of brow powder, fill in your brows, but only after removing any excess brow powder. Then, using the brow powder, define the top and bottom of your brush, starting at the arc.
9. Outline the brows with gentle strokes
Begin by drawing a line from your brow arch to your brow's outer edge. Outline the brows with gentle strokes and no powder. Adding volume to the outer brows creates a more natural look. Your brows will be fuller. Apply brow powder with a spoolie brush for a natural look. Use brow powder to make your brows appear more defined.
10. Observe how your eyebrows appear
Measure your eyebrows using the method mentioned above to see whether you've correctly defined and filled in your eyebrows. Examine the length of the piece to see whether it is too short and has to be stretched or if it is a little too long and needs to be shortened.
11. It's time to put on your brow makeup and set it
As soon as you've finished filling your brows, use an eyebrow gel to keep them in place. You may fix your eyebrow makeup using a clear brow-setting cream. You may also use a colored setting gel to obtain even more accuracy.
How to Pick Your Perfect Brow Shape?
Picking the perfect brow shape for your face involves knowing which shape suits which face the most. It is best to remember the brow shape that is an ideal fit for your face shape.
For starters, follow these steps to find the perfect shape:
Step 1: Find the starting point
Line your brow pencil from the side of your nose and the inner corner of your eye. This is your starting point.
Step 2: Find the arch point
Shift the pencil guide from your inner corner to the center of your eyeball. Look straight; the point where the pencil meets your brows when lining the side of your nose and middle of your eyeball is your arch point.
Step 3: Find the finish point
To find the endpoint, line the brow pencil against the side of your nose and the outer end of your eye. This is where your brow should end.
Join the three points obtained through this method, and you have a brow shape that perfectly suits your face!
Some brow and face shape combinations are:
Round: High-arched eyebrow
Long: Straight, low-lying arch
Oval: Levelled brows with slight arches
Square: Soft arches
Heart: Thick straight brow with rounded arch
Mistakes to Avoid While Filling in Eyebrows
Irrespective of whether you've been doing brows for years or are just getting started, you should understand that eyebrow makeup is an art. Be patient and ready to try if you want to get the look you want. Listed here are some of the most common brow-filling mistakes.
1. You're using the incorrect brow product
Powders, pomades, pencils, waxes, and gels make filling in the brows a breeze, but your style and skill level will dictate which products you use. A pencil is ideal for filling in bald spots. Pomades are great for thickening or darkening your brows if you already have them. Waxes and gels are suitable for women with thick brows because of their slight tint.
2. Using the wrong shade of eyebrow makeup
Use brow products that are lighter than your hair color. If your makeup has a dark tone, it may appear harsh or obvious instead of natural and effortless.
3. The space between your brows is over-emphasized
It is possible to draw attention away from your brows by using the wrong color or formula or over-emphasizing the space between your brows.
4. Your brush is caked with too much makeup
When it comes to beautiful brows, even if your brows are sparse in hair, you don't need as much product as you think. Focus on delicate areas of the brow rather than the entire brow. To avoid a heavy-handed appearance, do not add too much makeup to your brush. Also, lighten brush strokes with a toothbrush, brow brush, or spoolie.
5. Your brows are filled in with brow pencils even before groomed
The makeup process will be easier and faster if your brows are waxed or threaded before filling in your eyebrows.
6. Change brow shapes
It's unusual for us to draw on our brows in unique shapes, such as the boxy shape. Take a look at your baby pictures (pre-plucking, waxing, threading, etc.) to understand how your brows should look and stay within those boundaries.
7. Plucking brows excessively
Each set of brows has its distinct characteristics. Plucking brows too many times or too frequently can mar the look and shape of your brows. A thin coating of gel should be applied to the brows and stroked upward to create the broadest brow possible.
8. One size fits all
While experimenting with your eyebrows, be wary of the fact that it's not always a one-size-fits-all when it comes to filling in brows!
If you have a round or oval face shape, eyebrows with a lot of drama may work marvelously. Wear less foundation, and let your eyes do all the talking! As always, practice makes you perfect - whether you do eyebrows with pencil, gel, or pomade, keep practicing, and you will master the art of filling in your brows in no time.

Natural Nursery Decor Ideas for Your Baby's Room
An important part of prepping for a baby’s arrival is setting up their nursery. However, this is not always very simple. From choosing the right theme to décor to deciding the color of the walls, it can be quite a daunting process. But fear not, we’ve got you! With the world moving towards sustainability and conscious greener living, what better way to get your kid started than instilling in them a love for nature from the get-go. So, here are some adorable natural baby nursery ideas to help you bring the outdoors indoor.
Nature Nursery Theme Ideas for Your Little One
There are different ways to transform your baby’s nursery into a nature-inspired wonderland, from selecting nature-inspired nursery themes, wallpapers, and décor to using only sustainable and eco-friendly furniture for the room. Find below different themes and décor ideas you can draw inspiration from for your nursery transformation.
1. Jungle Safari
The jungle is the first thing that comes to people’s minds, especially kids, when the word nature is uttered. To bring the jungle vibe to your nursery, add wallpapers with trees and other greens paired with animal toys, centerpieces, and décor. The jungle theme gives you a chance to introduce different animals and birds to your little one.
2. The Mountains
With the mountain theme, you can either go for snowy peaks like the Alps or go green like the Great Smokey mountains. If you choose to go with the alps, use cool blue and white-colored wallpapers with animal motifs like the moose and reindeer. If you decide to go the other way, use green and brown colors with woody furniture to reflect the vast green mountain ranges.
3. Underwater
Underwater can be a very fun and engaging theme for your little one. Add wallpapers or paint to reflect the deep blue ocean with its thriving wildlife like the fishes and corals. As your little one grows into the room, the room can also grow with an aquarium to add to the theme and bring it all together.
4. By the Beach
Another great idea for bringing the outdoors indoors is to use a beach theme. Wallpapers with waves, umbrellas, and surfboards can be a nice visual treat for your little one. Adding a sandbox can be a great way to add to the beach theme and have a sensory play area for the lovely little.
5. Under the Stars
Bring the peace and calm of the night into your nursery by decorating it to reflect a starry theme. Use dark colors to reflect the night sky with moon and star motifs. You can also create constellations on the wall to make it a learning experience for the growing one. To spruce things up, you can use nocturnal toys like the owl.
6. Flower Power
Colorful floral themes can add a lot of brightness to the nursery. From wildflowers to a specific flower of your choice, there are multiple options for you to pick from. Add indoor flowering plants and flower vases to bring the room to life.
7. Woodlands
A woodland theme can be a unique and non-traditional way to bring nature to your nursery. Woody wallpapers and décor add a very cozy and warm undertone to the room, perfect for your baby to rest. Add only wooden furniture and play items to enhance this wooden wonderland.
8. Butterfly Flutters
Butterflies add a fun, colorful, and whimsical energy to the room. To bring the butterfly theme alive, you can add wallpapers with butterflies or add butterfly-shaped crib mobiles and chimes to the room. You can also turn this into a fun DIY activity by creating colorful origami butterflies to put up on the walls and around the crib.
9. The Rising Sun
A nursery that lets in a lot of natural light can be an excellent way to bring nature indoors quite literally. A naturally well-lit nursery can bring a lot of positive and uplifting energy to your baby’s room. To complement this natural light, paint the walls with bright yellow colors or add a sky/cloud-themed wallpaper to bring it all together.
10. Plants
Another lovely way to make the nursery more natural is by bringing in nature indoors. Having plants in your baby’s nursery can be a great way to introduce them to the outdoors. Plants like Chrysanthemums, the Golden pathos, and the Spider plant have air-purifying qualities. Including plants like these in the nursery will add to the room’s aesthetics and help the little one breathe better.
11. Natural Décor
If themed wallpapers are not your cup of tea, using décor made of natural and sustainably sourced materials can be a brilliant way to add a touch of nature to the nursery. Using natural wood nursery décor or furniture made of natural materials like a rattan crib or a seagrass toy basket can bring about the feeling of being closer to nature.
12. Dinosaurs
Although pre-historic, the dinosaur theme can be an innovative way to add a touch of nature to the nursery. Wallpapers with different dinosaur species or stuffed toys and décor reflecting these pre-historic times can help your kid learn about this period.
We hope these nature-inspired nursery ideas will help you get started on the nursery design or makeover you are undertaking. You can take ideas from this list and add your spin to it to put a personalized touch to your little one’s space.

Breast feeding and Pumping : two sides of the same coin
Hey there! I am a mommy to 2 sons aged 4 and 4. No they aren't twins, I meant a 4 year old and a 4 month old. :)
As a first time mum,I lacked proper guidance on breastfeeding and as a result, except for a few days, I couldn't feed my elder one directly and became an exclusive pumper. Now as I look back, I feel very proud to say that I nourished him with liquid gold for 2.4 years. Yes, it indeed was a huge milestone, and an extremely challenging one.
When I was expecting the second time, I was very determined that I will exclusively breastfeed my baby,no matter what. But, my breastfeeding journey wasn't easy at all. Due to incorrect latch, I had extremely sore and bleeding nipples. I used To literally weep everytime my baby latched. My dream of breastfeeding seemed to fade, but just at the right time, Dr Vinoda an excellent lactation consultant and BSIM FB group came to my rescue. Dr.Vinoda helped me with the right position and latch on my right side, while BSIM helped me with getting a deep latch.
Now, although my right side isn't healed completely, I have successfully been able to feed my baby directly thus far. My family, specially my husband was extremely supportive and helped me in every way so that I could feed my little one.
As a mother, who has exclusively pumped and also directly feeding, I would say breastfeeding wins hands down. All moms who struggle to breastfeed, please take help of lactation consultant, have a strong support system and most importantly, remember " we are the best providers of nutrition to little ones, and never give up".
This is my very first attempt at writing would be glad to know any feedback on the same.
Keep calm and latch on!!! :) Read more
