10 Ways to Hide Your Pregnancy Before Announcing to Everyone
How to hide your pregnancy during the first trimester? Most women want to keep the secret due to fear of miscarriage or complications at work. As you find yourself walking a tightrope between wanting to make a loud announcement and keeping the secret about the bun in the oven, here are some tips to hide a pregnancy from friends and family.
How to Hide your Pregnancy?
You are desperate to tell everyone and want every bit of advice that people will have to offer. But you are not ready yet. If you are worried about how to hide pregnancy at work, just use these ten tips to disguise and mask your pregnancy symptoms- be it fatigue, morning sickness or even that visible glow on your face. You don’t want to be scrutinised about your activities, clothes or mood swings. Whatever be the reasons, here are a few tips to hide your baby bump until you are ready to spill the beans.
1. Know Your Bump
How long can I hide my pregnancy is a question that will definitely plague you as you will only get bigger by the day. You don’t have to worry about it in the first trimester when the hormones cause bloating relaxing your stomach muscles. But this may make you look like you have gained a few pounds. So if your close ones question you about your body shape, just say that you have gained a bit of weight as you are not exercising anymore. It will hardly be noticed and pondered about.
2. Avoid Fitted Clothes
It is a good idea to ditch those well-fitted clothes which could highlight your bloated belly or bump. Stick to clothes that cascade and seem fitted to the body at the same time. Stay safe with tunics which match any silhouette. Wearing loose fitted clothes could help you hide your pregnancy longer and confuse people whose curiosity is piqued! Re-vamp your wardrobe with clothes that are a size or two bigger than your normal ones so that you can wear them throughout your pregnancy.
3. Accessorize
Accessories could help shift focus from your body shape to your style statement. Accessories serve as styling tools that draw attention away from the main point of focus. Bigger earrings, hoops, large chains, chokers embellished in stone or gems could drift the attention from the slightly visible bump. Invest in big bags that could fit all your essential for pregnancy and also hide the bump. People will be envying your bag than concentrating on your belly. Large bags can camouflage the belly successfully.
4. Scarfs and Stoles
A great way to camouflage your condition, scarfs and stoles could just give you the perfect lean, svelte and taller look you probably have been always longing for. Throw an oversized length for glamour and don’t wrap it too much. The Indian dupatta is a perfect add-on. You can also opt for dark slimming colours like black or blue. You could also try the ornate ones or floral printed ones to garner compliments.
5. Detox Diet
You are not taking those tea and coffee breaks at work anymore and people are smelling a rat. Well, with fitness food flooding the market with several options you can always say that you are on a detoxifying diet. Use the “I am on a detox” excuse when sipping on herbal or green tea. A great way to help you get rid of pregnancy symptoms and not have people digging deep into the issue.
6. Drinking
You are at an office party or at a friend’s for a weekend and not drinking. It will definitely raise eyebrows! Well, first you can always offer to be officially designated driver for the evening. If that does not work then just order a cranberry and soda (personally at the bar). Last, if nothing works, then just say you have to be somewhere really early the next morning and cannot afford to have a hangover.
7. Disguise Your Medical Visits
You have a number of gynaecologist visits and scans lined up and you are worried about your disappearance raising suspicions at work. Well, don’t say you are going to visit the doctor. Just tell your senior you have some major dental issues that need to be sorted over a series of appointments. A valid excuse that cannot be denied and seems plausible too.
8. Excusing Yourself to the Loo
You have the constant urge to pee with an expanding bladder and also the morning sickness seems to be driving you crazy. You need to find some tricks to avoid those suspicious glances from your co-workers. Just say you have the stomach flu, bladder infection or that you are practising water therapy to release toxins from your body. Try and time your loo breaks so that people will know you have a clocked routine to be more effective at work.
9. Conceal Your Mood Swings
Pregnancy is accompanied with the emotional roller coaster of mood swings. So if your colleagues see you weeping in the corner or generally irritable for no reason, just say that you are under some personal stress lately. It could prove helpful with some comfort and solace being offered by friends and relatives. You need emotional support to go through the new phase and all the help pouring in from all counts could never be unwelcome.
10. Explanations for those Cravings and Aversions
This one is difficult to hide because you simply cannot stand few odours and would feel like disappearing from the room. There is nothing more you can do than excuse yourself by saying that you have suddenly developed an aversion to a few things. It could raise a few eyebrows! But you could always say that you developed them after bad flu or stomach infection that you had last. If you are craving for a particular food then simply announce that you are yearning to have it and you may find everyone around drooling and joining the fun.
It is only you who can make the decision of when you want to announce the good news and choose the perfect timing and setting. Until then, hopefully, these tips will help you succeed in hiding your pregnancy. There is a lot more you can do to distract the attention of people. Try all that you think seems right and sensible and happy hiding until then.

Top 10 April Fool's Pranks To Play On Your Kids
Playing April Fool's tricks on kids will not be an easy feat. Parents need to think quick and smart if they want to outwit their little ones. So, what are the best, time-tested tricks that you can try out on your children?
Want to outsmart your kid on April Fool’s Day? Simple, outsmart yourself and be the best mischief master. Taking the road less travelled is key to springing the best pranks on your kids. Don't take the old school route while you're thinking up tricks; instead, put yourself in your kids shoes and let your inner child loose. Of course, we can make it a tad simpler for you. We give you a list of 10 best pranks you can pull off and make your child giggle:
Top 10 April Fool's Tricks on Kids
1. No More TV
All kids enjoy watching their favourite cartoons or movies on TV. So, the best way to spring an April Fool’s surprise would be to remove the batteries from the remote the night before. When your kid tries to put the TV on with the remote, he will be in for quite a shock. Wait for him to come begging to you to fix the problem. When that moment comes proudly announce, 'April Fools'. This should be a harmless prank to get back at your kid.
2. Switched Beds
For this prank, you might have to wake up a little early. Switch your kids’ beds and watch as they wake up to a morning surprise. They'll be wondering how they landed in each other’s beds. Of course, the look on the face would be priceless. This should definitely be one of the best April Fool pranks for kids.
3. Eyes on Them
Say hello to an edible surprise. What is it you ask? Get set to stick googly eyes and nose on the cut fruits you're packing for your child's school lunchbox. Once they open the lunchbox at school, they will be in for quite a fun and humorous surprise. Your kid will for sure relay the excitement and surprise about the prank when he gets back home.
4. Bathroom Balloon
Looking for an early morning jolt to ring in April Fool's Day? Put a balloon that says,"you've been tricked" inside your baby’s pot. Put the lid down. When he visits the toilet in the morning and opens the lid, your kid's sleepy peepers will open to this crazy shock and amazement.
5. The Disappearing Act
One of the best kid-friendly April Fool's Day pranks would be to empty a packet of chips and fill it back with cut carrots or apples. Glue the packet back together, so that it looks like a new one. Give it to your child while he's watching his favourite show. Watch your unsuspecting kid open the packet and fish out a carrot instead of chips. You'll confuse your little tot to no end.
6. Cold Breakfast
This prank should definitely incite weird and funny reactions from your kids. Wake up early and put your child's cereal in a bowl and place it in the freezer. Serve it to them when they come down for breakfast. It will be quite a sight to watch them with their spoon stuck in the cereal. Make sure you have a backup breakfast plan, lest your prank gets out of hand.
7. Oversized Clothes
Buy a pair of oversized school pants for your kids. Gift it to them that same evening. When they try to wear it the next morning, they wouldn't know how the trousers turned out so big on them. This confusion will be hilarious to watch.
8. Colourful Cereal
Add a drop of food colouring to your kid’s cereal. When your child begins to pour milk in the cereal pot, he will be surprised to see the cereal change colours.
9. The Money Bait
Attach a wire or string to a money bill and keep it lying on the floor. Once your kid see it and goes to pick it up, pull on it. He will be chasing that note, till he finds out who holds the string.
10. Stuffed-up Kicks
Use toilet paper or tissue to fill in your kids' sneakers. Watch him struggle to get them on in the morning just before leaving for school. The flustered face will make you laugh uncontrollably.
These April Fool's Day pranks are fun, innocent, and quite cute too. They don't just embody the spirit of the day, but also make a refreshing change in your day-to-day schedule. As parents, this is the only time when you have the freedom to play a prank on your kid without any tears or guilt involved; make the most of it. Have fun and make April Fool's Day a memorable one! Ever Wished You Could Just REST When On Your Period? See This
Yep, you're strong and you know it. Every month, when Aunt Flo visits with her uterus- compressing pain, the scarlet streams gushing out of your nether region, you handle it like it is nothing. But it isn't nothing and you know it.
The monthly period is something we deal with for many, many years of our life. But it doesn’t really get easier. Every time you sneeze, that involuntary flow occurs; the sudden mid-meeting cramps; the food cravings....oh the cravings...it accounts for something, and something BIG. No matter how many precautions in periods days we take, the cramps, pains and mood swings can make us feel 'down'! So, yes, you brave it all to push yourself out of bed and go to work. But somewhere deep down you still find it unfair that you can't just stay home and get paid for it instead…
While there are some women who can suck it up and delve into their daily work lives, some women don't have that option. Women like Shipra, for example. Menstruation is very difficult for her due to health reasons. She says, “Menstruation sometimes makes me feel weak, sick and frustrated. I even pass out at times. Obviously, I can't take leaves every month because I can't skip my work commitments... I have to go irrespective of how blue I am. Plus, salary deduction is another fear that prevents me from taking leaves.”
So, do we just have to grit our teeth and keep facing it like we have been doing?
Hold Your Breath... “Menstrual leave” might just be a real thing soon!
Before you get the bandwagon out to rejoice, let's just take a minute to understand this policy. Italy's Parliament has begun to discuss a law that, if approved, will require companies to grant three days of paid leave each month to female employees that experience painful periods! Well! If you think this law will have the attention of all women, everywhere, then you are right! But if you think everyone is on board, you're wrong. There are certain critics to this proposal – even among the working women it aims to protect.
What Women Feel About This Proposal
While the law aims to help women deal with their period pains in peace, it could also backfire and add to other non-physical pains. Women in general have always struggled to be equals in the workforce. If women were given additional three days off a month, it could mean that employers may lean towards hiring more men than women. Just like we've seen that maternity leaves tend to push employers to reconsider hiring women, this additional menstrual leave might go down the same beaten path.
Furthermore, could it penalise women for not working hard enough? Imagine India passing this law? Would that mean that women are further pushed backward? Would it strengthen the regressive mentality that periods are a “problem”?
Having said that, there are thousands of women just like Shipra who are silently suffering painful period problems only because they know no other way around it. Perhaps a law like this could really be beneficial for them. It is still premature to judge which way the winds will blow at this stage. But we sure do hope whatever happens will be fair and offer some much-needed relief to us!
Here's to all of us strong women! Read more

A. the average birth weight of neonates is about 3 kg.
during the first few days after birth, the newborn loses
extracellular fluid equivalent to about 10% of the body
weight.
most infants regain their birth weight by the age of 10 days. subsequently, they gain weight at a rate of
approximately 25 to 30 g per day for the first 3 months of life.
thereafter they gain about 400 g weight every month,
for the remaining part of the first year. x
an infant usually doubles his birth weight (taken as 3 kg) by the age of 5 months. the birth weight triples at 1 year and is four times at 2 years of age.
the weight of ca child at the age of three years is usually
five times that of the birth weight.

A. Some women may have vomiting throughout their pregnancy. The most common reason for vomiting during the third trimester may be gastritis. Make sure you eat small frequent meals, preferably every 2 hours. If your baby's weight during checkups are adequate..u needn't worry much about this. You can also consult your doctor and take anti emetics and PPIs if the vomiting is bothering you or interfering with your daily activities.

A. For breastfed infants it depends on age. During the first month of life, stooling less than once a day might mean your newborn isn't eating enough. However, breastfed infants may go several days or even a week between bowel movements, using every drop they eat to make more baby, not poop.
