Baby Sneezing - Reasons and When to Worry
Does your little one sneeze a lot? If yes, then you must be thinking that she is sick. Her every sneeze or sniffle might make you wonder that something is wrong with your baby. But you need not worry if your little one is sneezing too much. Read on to know why your newborn sneezes so much and what you can do about it.
Is it Normal for a Newborn to Sneeze?
If your newborn sneezes a lot, you should be reassured that her body is working just fine. Sneezing is a healthy action and you should be happy to see your baby sneezing. It is a reflex action controlled by the nervous system which helps clear the dust particles in the nasal passage or to remove congestion in the respiratory system. The air we inhale is filled with dust particles, chemicals, pollutants, germs, and other impurities which needs to be cleaned through sneezing. So, if your 2-month-old baby is coughing and sneezing but does not have a fever or other symptoms, you need not worry.
Instead of worrying about the frequent sneezes, you should be happy that your baby's body is reacting in a natural way. Sneezing will help clear the dust particles and impurities clogged in the tiny nasal passage of your baby and keep the flow of air in and out of her nasal passage in a natural way.
Why Does Your Baby Sneeze So Much?
All newborns have a different pattern of breathing. For instance, some babies may take rapid short spurts of air and then slowly steady their breathing. So it will take your little one a while to master the art of breathing normally. Sneezing is a common phenomenon in newborns but there are quite a few reasons why she might be sneezing a lot.
1. To Clear Impurities in the Nose
Newborns usually breathe through their nose and it takes them around 3-4 months to breathe through their mouth. It is difficult for them to make a sudden transition from nose breathing to mouth breathing. Hence, babies need to sneeze quite often to clear their nose and resume their normal breathing pattern.
2. Due to a Tiny Nose
Newborns have tiny noses, and tiny noses mean tiny nasal passage. Your little bundle of joy's cute tiny nose also has a narrow nasal passage which can easily attract dust particles from the atmosphere. Hence, your baby may sneeze to clear his nasal pathway.
3. To Unclog a Blocked Nostril
Babies often suffer from a clogged nostril. When you breastfeed your baby, her tiny nostrils may get pressed or flattened (as she might be clinging to you). This may cause a temporary block in her nostrils which then gets unclogged by sneezing.
4. Due to the Presence of Irritants in the Air
The irritants like cigarette smoke, strong cologne or perfumes, dust particles, etc., present in the air can also make your baby sneeze. Babies also vomit milk; if your little one vomits milk, it can enter her nostril and cause irritation and sneezing. Since your little one can't snort or sniff to get rid of the impurities, she may eventually have to sneeze. In order to prevent this, you can keep your house ventilated. You can either install exhaust fans in your house or keep the windows open frequently for better air circulation.
5. Due to Fever or Illness
Sneezing in babies can also be a sign of a cold. The most common symptoms of cold include upper tract respiratory infections, sneezing, coughing, and nasal discharge. Due to an immature immune system, your baby may catch a cold from other members of the family, if they have a cold. So as a parent, you must ensure that anyone who takes the baby in their arms washes their hands properly and uses a sanitizer if needed before holding the baby. Alternatively, you can also use anti-histamines as per the doctor's prescription. Also, once infected with cold, immediate treatment is required to prevent severe infection.
6. Due to the Dryness in the Air
As your little one has a tiny nasal passage, the mucus in her nose may dry easily. You may witness this more in the winter months or at dry places or in air-conditioned rooms. As a result, she may sneeze more often. In order to avoid this, you can use make her use a vaporizer - it will help lower nasal dryness.
7. Due to Some Allergy
Hay fever can also be one of the causes if your baby is sneezing frequently. Also known as allergic rhinitis, hay fever causes nasal congestion. The impure particles in the atmosphere cause allergic reactions which lead to hay fever. It can also occur due to dust, insect bites, or animal hair. This can be avoided by protecting babies from foreign particles and allergies. Since it is not practically possible to do so, you may also use anti-histamines as per doctor's prescriptions.
When to Consult a Doctor
Babies sneeze quite frequently in a day and at times in a row which is again very normal. But if your baby has a runny nose and is sneezing all the time and shows symptoms of a cough and fever, then you should consult your baby's paediatrician immediately. Also, if your baby suffers from the following symptoms then she will require immediate medical attention:
If she is breathing very fast or is panting for breath, it means she is finding it difficult to breathe. Consult a doctor soon.
Forceful chest movements and straining while breathing is also a sign of illness and difficulty in breathing. If your baby has difficulty breathing, take her to a doctor.
If your baby seems to eat less than she used to before and also feels less energetic then take her to a doctor and get a checkup done.
If your baby sleeps more than the usual 8-10 hours of a day and has low energy levels you must consult your doctor immediately.
Some other common signs which newborn babies experience include hiccups and rattling noises while sleeping and breathing, etc. Some babies even make funny noises while sleeping which can also be considered as baby snores. But remember there is no reason to panic till you witness some very serious signs of illness. Regular doctor visits and detailed discussion regarding the baby breathing patterns will put your mind at ease.
Newborns sneeze all the time and it is normal. However, if it is accompanied by a runny nose and fever, then your little one might be sick. Take her to a doctor and get her checked. Take care of your little one and she will be fine!

There is also a potential that they will emulate characters who shape their personalities in the future. Read more

How to Travel with Your Baby for the First Time?
It’s always scary for new moms to travel with their newborn baby and it was the same for me. But luckily I discovered that traveling could be much more fun with a baby. If all the preparations are done right and well in advance, there’s nothing you’ll have to panic about.
Here are a few guidelines to help you stay sane throughout the journey with your baby ?
Write Down All the Things That Your Baby Usually Requires
Feeders, sippy cups, soothers, formula cans, ready-made purées, infant biscuits, hot water, cereal cans, diapers, wipes, extra set of baby clothes, extra set of clothes for your self, baby paracetamol, anti-allergic medicine for the baby, baby’s usual medicines, baby carrier, stroller and tissues or napkins (loads and loads).
How Much to Carry Depends Entirely on Your Baby
It’s usually advisable to travel only after the baby has completed 5 months.
How to Set Baby Bag for the Long Journey?
Get a backpack, NOT a diaper bag. Trust me, you’ll thank me for this advice.
Why? Because backpacks are easier to carry and stay on your back while you can carry your baby comfortably in front without any hustle that diaper bags would create.
What Goes Inside the Bag?
I am giving the details for a 6-9 hour journey.
A small packet of diapers or 20/40 diapers. If your baby poos or pees very frequently, keep many more
A small can of formula milk ( if your baby is formula-fed)
6 feeders (again if baby is on formula)
A small can of cereal if your baby has started solids
Munchies like infant biscuits
Ready-made purées
Baby paracetamol
Baby anti-allergic medication
Baby wipes
Tissues
2 litres thermos flask for hot water
A bottle of room-temperature water
Pacifier
A set of clothes
Changing mat
Once you cross out all the things on this list, you’re almost close to being ready for a relaxing and hustle-free travel.
What Goes Inside the Luggage?
Carry loads and loads of comfortable clothes for the baby. Because howmuchever we have is less. So get atleast 50-60 pairs of clothing for the baby, the rest you can always mix and match to create a stylish baby. ?
Get a size bigger than your baby usually wears because babies grow super-fast and if you're packing a month or two in advance, buy clothes according to your baby's growth pattern.
Arrange and keep all the pairs of clothes in a big sealable plastic. In this way, your luggage will seem more organized and it’ll be easier for you to pull out clothes for your baby.
Keep all the bibs, shoes, socks and headbands for you baby in a specific pouch so that they don’t get mixed up and you get them in time. Organize the rest of your luggage in similar sealable plastic to avoid a messy and crowded bag.
Food for the Baby
Carry huge-sized cans and cartons of all your baby food. How much to buy entirely depends on your baby’s consumption.
Carry enough packets of diapers if they’re not available at the place of your destination.
Carry all your baby’s medical files and medicines.
Keep the medicines in a specific bag so that it’s easier to find.
Never forget medication for loose stools and fever.
I hope this helps you all to a great extent let me know if I missed anything out.
Happy and safe journey to all the new parents out there ♥️♥️

Confinement Nanny - Things You Should Know Before Hiring Her
Every woman knows that being a mother is both challenging and fulfilling. The period immediately preceding the delivery is an overwhelming one filled with sleepless, wakeful nights, nursing a newborn and rocking him to sleep. In addition, there is the weakness associated with delivery and endless fatigue to reckon with. In such times, a confinement nanny makes the transition smooth sailing for the new mother, allowing her to take rest and bond with the little one. The task of hiring a confinement nanny is not an easy one. Read this article to know more about hiring a confinement nanny.
A woman becomes a mother the moment she holds her little one for the first time. The occasion is a momentous one filled with pure joy and exhilaration, yet the period that follows is a long drawn one filled with challenges. To sail through this transition period, the Indian, Malaysian and Chinese cultures have confinement nannies who hold the hands of new mothers and help them to heal and regain their strength and vitality back.
A confinement nanny is like a blessing in disguise, especially for women who have to get back to work after a short maternity leave of 3 months. She guides the new mother on taking care of an infant, bathes the little one, keeps an eye on the older child (if any).Sometimes, she may massage the new mother and cook nutritious meals for her. In other words, a confinement nanny makes life much easier for the new mother. However hiring a confinement nanny is not always easy, and there are things you should know before hiring her.
Tips to Hire a Confinement Nanny
Analyze your needs Before hiring a confinement nanny, ask yourself these questions
Do you actually need her services or would there be your mother or mother-in-law to help you out?Do you require her to cook?
Would she also be looking after the baby during nights?
Would she be doing other household chores as a part of her work?
Would she be giving a bath to the baby, massage your back and abdomen?
For how long would you need the confinement services?
Once you analyze your requirements, you would be able to communicate to the confinement nanny in clear terms, the nature of the services you would be expecting from her.
Budget
Confinement nannies are expensive. If you are going to hire a confinement nanny, be prepared to spend at least Rs 250 per day or anything from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month.
Work Permits and Licenses
Some countries require a confinement nanny to hold a license and work permit. Some countries like Singapore even require a security deposit before the confinement month. In India though, the sector of confinement nannies is largely an unorganized one. Before employing a confinement nanny, find out from relevant sources, the applicable rules in the country of your residence. This will save you from lots of legal hassles in the future.
Ask for References
The best way to hire a confinement nanny would be to ask for recommendations from the friends and relatives. It is always safe to hire a nanny who carries many positive reviews and testimonials from the people you actually know. That way you wouldn’t be hiring a total stranger.
Interview
It is very important that you interview the prospective confinement nanny and test her suitability. Ask these questions before hiring her:
For how long has she been a confinement nanny?
Would she be able to guide the new mother on bathing and nursing a baby?
Would she be able to cook for the mother during the confinement period? If yes, which meals?
Would she be offering post natal massages as a part of her services?
Sometimes you might find yourself disagreeing with the confinement nanny and not subscribing to her school of thoughts. However, just remember that she is there with you only for a certain period, hence gentleness and firmness will help douse any conflicts and arguments. Put up your feet, relax and bond with the tiny one in your arms. Read more

10 Ideas to Keep Kids Occupied While Camping
A great way to bring the whole family together is to go Camping. There’s fresh air, delightful scenery, the starlit sky and depending where you camp, you might get glimpses of wildlife. If you’re really lucky you might even spot a meteor bolting across the sky – camping can turn out to be an unsurpassed experience not only for regular campers but beginners, too.
The idea of camping may sound exciting, but you may find yourself wondering how to tackle your kids’ boredom given that there will be no TV’s and sketchy cellphone reception. So while you plan for your camp, do not forget to list down a few activities to keep your kids stimulated and engaged throughout.
Let us discuss a few tips and tricks that will help to keep your children enthusiastic:
1. Engage kids in camp chores
Allowing kids to pitch in not only staves off boredom but also makes it a fun time for the family to enjoy all tasks together. Have them perform campsite tasks like hammering stakes, collecting sticks, filling water, etc.
2. Present chores as competition
Camp chores may appear mundane to your kids, so be prepared to add some spice. Turn them into competitions or contests – see who gathers the most kindling first or who manages to sweep the tent in the least time.
3. Fun with Nature
Prepare a list of a few items that you can see in or around the campsite and send your kids on a scavenger hunt. Ensure you clearly mention the boundaries beyond which your child must not wander.
4. Stamp Painting
Engage your kids in colour-diffusing art. Cut different shapes from Coffee Filters, use different markers to colour them, dip and quickly remove the painted cut-outs from the water and stamp them on your T-shirt to make different designs. Now allow the T-shirt to dry under the sun.
5. Stone art
Allow kids to gather rocks of various size and shapes from the campsite. Then encourage them to design and add their creative spin to these stones. These rock pieces adorned with splashes of colour can be used to decorate the great outdoors.
6. Treasure Hunt
One of the most intriguing games for kids is a Treasure Hunt! Download a geocaching app or GPS and get down to a real-life treasure hunt with your youngster.
7. Bug Catching or Fishing
Help kids prepare their own fishing pole using a long stick, fishing line and a hook. It would interest them more than anything else to catch their own dinner. Alternatively, you can also provide them with a bug catcher and allow them to have fun with little creatures around them (without causing any harm to the bugs).
8. Explore the Pond
Hunt for a nearby pond. Bring along some nets and buckets to grab some pond insects or draw out some pond water. Now observe these small floating creatures with the help of a portable microscope – it’s educational!
9. Have a Water Fight
Kids love to play with water. Introduce them to the game of water balloons. The balloons can be easily filled at most sites. Once they agree on your rules to not hit any passerby or at any sensitive body part, give the water bombing game a Get Set Go!
10. Create a Sandman
Make kids gather some sand from the nearby area and help them build a sandman. Do not resort to building a boring old castle. Use different things available around to make it look as close to a real sandman as possible.

Save More Money! 6 Stellar Ideas to Try
Everyone wants to save a little extra money, but it's easier said than done. Figuring out how to live frugally and save money can not only impact your bank account, but also give you a feeling of financial security for those rainy day situations!
Being able to save money is a cultivated habit. Getting into the habit and implementing it takes conscious and concerted effort, not just by you but by everyone at home. Once you get into it, though, living within your means will become second nature - all it takes is a little planning and lots of willpower.
Proven Ways to Live Frugally and Save Money
1. Look for Wholesome and Affordable Food
Stock up food in the freezer, bake your own bread, and grow a few veggies in a kitchen garden if you can. Identify wholesale vendors who can sell you fresh fruits at a good bargain. Another simple frugal living idea is to identify a supermarket that gives good deals and ensure you buy as many products from there as possible.
2. Save on Medicines
There are two ways in which you can save up on medication. You can buy medicines from the cheapest pharmacies. Second, you can get all your over-the-counter shopping of medicines through online stores that offer good discounts.
3. Save on Clothes
Reducing the impulse of buying new clothes every other month will teach you what frugality is. Maintain your clothes well so that they last longer and don’t need to be replaced often. Most importantly, shop wisely. It's better to spend more money on good quality clothes that last longer, instead of buying cheaper clothes every other month that won't last half as long.
4. Look for Alternatives
Before making any big purchase, understand if you really need it or if there’s a cheaper alternative available. For instance, instead of buying a gaming laptop, you could settle for an everyday model, one that may not be so powerful but is enough to get your work done. Another frugal living tip and idea is to make cleaners and detergents at home. Try white vinegar instead of commercial cleaners and use baking soda and shaved soap to create another cleaning solution.
5. Wait for Deals
Deals are associated with extreme frugal living! Try to make purchases based on good deals as much as possible. For everyday buys, compare prices offered by all the stores near you. If it’s a large purchase, research the product, go online if you need to, and wait for festive deals.
6. Be Alert and know More
Make it a habit to check bills for mistakes in calculations. Get to know the average price of common goods. Learn what commodities are taxed and what aren’t. This is a great way to get money-educated and make wiser buying decisions.
These tips on how to live frugally and save money are simple and practical. Anyone can follow them, whether you’re a housewife trying to make the most of your budget, or a newly-wed who’s learning to adjust to married life. Clue in your husband and kids too. If everyone at home can learn how to spend wisely, you’ll see the big difference it makes to your savings. Read more

A. If it was just a few seconds and it is not going to make a difference yet if you want to be more sure about it if it is more for you then you can get an ultrasound done with your doctor but as far as I know few seconds are not going to make any difference but still you can check with the doctor

A. Cetaphil SPF 50 sunscreen lotion is going to be a very good choice for you to use for your skin it’s one of the best things that you can currently use and I’m very certain it is going to be good for your skin options also otherwise if you want you can try consulting a dermatologist for that
