Wow! Find Out What Indian Numerology Reveals About Your Baby's Name!
Simply put, numerology is the study of numbers. It is believed that there is a unique relationship between numbers and all objects in the universe. Every number has certain meanings associated with it, and this is what numerologists study. But what has this got to do with your baby’s name? Well, as per numerologists, the number value of your baby’s name can actually play a significant role in his future life, career and relationships!
We take a lot of factors into account when we name our baby. Our religious roots, our likes and dislikes, our ancestors and hereditary links – everything comes into the picture. And then again, some of us simply go with a name that sounds just right to us.
However, numerology is one branch of science that correlates every decision and every situation with numbers. As per this science, the number value of your baby’s name can have long-lasting repercussions on his future life.
How To Find The Number Value of your Baby’s Name
Numerology assigns a number from 1 to 9 to each letter in the alphabet, as follows:
A, J and S
1
B, K and T
2
C, L and U
3
D, M and V
4
E, N and W
5
F, O and X
6
G, P and Y
7
H, Q and Z
8
I and R
9
Step 1:
Get all the numbers for the letters in your baby’s name
Step 2:
Add all the numbers together
Step 3:
If the name results in a double-digit, add the separate digits together. For example, if the total comes to 35, the final number value is 8
Note: If the total comes to 11 or 22, do not add the digits together. These are called "master numbers" and have a special meaning.

Quick Tips for Preventing Baby Diaper Leaks
All parents have to deal with their baby's diaper leaks on a daily basis. As you tuck your baby in and at 3 AM, you will hear him crying and whining only to discover a pool of messy poop. Changing diapers of your baby every two hours can literally drain your energy. To prevent your baby's diaper leaks, here is what you can do.
Why Does a Baby's Diaper Leak?
If your baby's diaper leaks happen usually during the night (and not daytimes), here is why that might be happening.
1. Potty Newbie
A baby is too young to be potty trained and does not have control over his reflexes, so he might poop anytime during the day and night. During the night, your baby's diaper may leak, however, if you see your baby's poop leaking out of his diaper during the day, you will need to give him potty training lessons.
2. Compression Leaks
If your baby's inserts are damp and fit too snugly, you'll notice your baby's diaper leaking when you carry him snugly around the hips. If your baby's onesies are too small, then also you will notice compression leaks. Hence, when making your baby wear a diaper, make sure it snugs around his waist and is not overly tight.
3. Diaper Material
The material of the diaper may also be the reason why your baby's diaper might be leaking. Some diapers are made from natural fibres like cotton and hemp while others aren't. Lower the absorbency limit, higher the leakage and vice versa. If your baby is wearing a poor quality diaper, it might leak.
4. Bad Fit
If the diaper size is too small or if it fights too tightly, has loose elasticity and doesn't wrap around the legs and bottom properly, then expect leakage.
5. Synthetic Washing
If you wash your baby's diapers using synthetic or chemical-based detergents, it will cause diaper leaks. So, it is best to avoid diaper rash creams and use plant-based detergents for washing since they are water soluble.
How to Prevent Your Baby's Diaper Leakage
There are various reasons for a baby's diaper leaks but knowing isn't enough; it's the prevention that counts. Here are a few tips to prevent baby diaper leakage during the nights and to make your baby sleep peacefully.
1. Get Diapers in Right Size
If you notice runny diapers of your baby often, then maybe it's time to go up a size (or two). For example, if your baby's diapers are a size 2, just before bedtime make sure to put on a size four. This will absorb the poop and prevent any leaks at night.
2. Maintain a Proper Schedule
If you're experiencing that the instance of runny diapers is increasing day by day, then it may be because of your feeding schedule. Take careful note of lunchtimes, meals before and after naps, and just before going to bed. Avoid giving your toddler any drinks or juices before bedtime to prevent leaks. Don't eliminate baby formula though, since that's a necessity. We're talking anything besides baby formula here. Another handy tip is to let your toddler drink the beverage (or juice) at least an hour before bedtime.
3. Change the Diapers Often
To prevent infections and diaper rash in your baby, it is recommended that you change his diapers often, before bedtime, especially. Don't leave on the daytime diaper when your baby is about to call it a night. That way his bottom will feel comfy, he will sleep well and won't cry at 2 am while you are fast asleep.
4. Use Overnight Diapers
If regular diapers are not giving your baby any relief, it's time to change the strategy. Instead of opting for diapers in the bigger size, choose overnight diapers for him. Overnight diapers are more absorbent, last longer, and work throughout the night. Buy a box, and your baby will be set for a month of leak-less nights.
5. Think Booster Diapers
What if the overnight diapers don't work either? Your baby might be an exception, but with a little boost, those diapers will do the job. You can invest in diaper booster pads. Diaper booster pads serve as an extra layer of defence and absorb up to 8 ounces of fluid before letting the diaper below take charge.
6. Put On the Diaper Correctly
"My newborn's diaper keeps leaking" - Is this the problem which you keep telling your neighbours and relatives, thinking someone will have a solution? The problem may be in his diapers getting packaged with folded backs. Besides folded backs, another reason might be not putting on the diaper correctly. This may mean a loose fit or a diaper having elasticity. Regardless, the way you prep your baby up during the night makes a huge difference.
Here are a few tips on how to make sure that the diaper is put on correctly.
Wrap the diaper well around his waist and legs, ensuring that it is fit snugly to prevent diaper leakage on the side. The waist area should be below the baby's belly button.
Check the edges of the diaper cuffs to make sure that the diaper is wrapped neatly and not tucked inside.
Make the diaper look a bit bigger by making the tabs overlap a little by positioning downward.
Use diapers made from natural fibres like cotton, hemp, and bamboo. Make sure the diaper material is high-absorbent and use plant-based detergents to make them last longer.
For cloth-based diapers, invest in diaper inserts for an extra layer of absorption.
7. Prepare for the Unexpected
Be ready for the moments when you don't expect your baby's diaper to leak, but it happens anyways. Make sure to stock up on extra clothes and a diaper bag dispenser (which is used to collect and dispose of poop). Invest in baby wipes and overnight diapers and don't forget to get inserts/booster pads to prepare for baby diaper leaks overnight.
These are your answers to why baby diaper leaks happen and how to prevent them. If your baby's diaper leaks every night, these tips will go a long way in helping you get sound sleep and make sure your baby naps comfortably and fuss-free.

11 Tips to Deal with Your Toddler's Diaper Changing Tantrums
Diaper changing is one of the biggest challenges that parents face. The task may not be that big a hassle at first, but the real challenge begins when your baby learns to roll or crawl - that is when your kid refuses to stay still and run away from you. Besides, children can sense whether you rush a task or enjoy it, so remember to use affirmative words and humour to make him sense the diaper changing as fun. We present you with a few techniques to help you relax and ease the task of changing your toddler's diaper.
How to Make Diaper Changing More Enjoyable?
When your baby becomes an opinionated and on-the-move toddler, a simple routine of diaper change often turns into a tug-of-war between you and the baby. It is because he then starts to resist every little thing that makes him stay still. Turn the routine into a fun task and make your baby enjoy the time with you. Let’s see some of the ways to avoid the toddler resisting diaper changes and keep him happy.
1. Inform Beforehand
You should treat your baby as an individual and give him due attention and space early on. It would be incorrect to just swoop him into your arms and start doing stuff with him, which is when the toddler fights diaper change. You need to build the trust with your baby by keeping him well-informed of what you are going to do. That way, you can avoid the power struggle between you two, and the toddler is more likely to cooperate if he understands your cues and comes on his own.
2. Calm Down and Connect
With the number of diapers you may need to change each day, it’s no surprise that your once pleasant experience might become a routine or even a hassle. When you do it in a rush, the baby picks up on your anxiety. If you do it the simple way, it won’t be any fun for the baby. Thus the baby fights diaper change. Therefore, you should use this time in the best possible manner to connect and bond with your baby. Get on his level and point out that his diaper is wet. He gets an opportunity to notice it himself, be aware of his body and considers your words.
3. Have Some Fun
Diaper changing is a time that you get to spend one-on-one with your baby. You can make the most of it by having some fun here and there. Tickle and play with your baby or blow his tummy. Play games and ask him to point out his body parts or different colours in his surroundings. These sweet nothings can help to engage your little one.
4. Use Distractions
You could pick a few special toys that appeal to your baby and keep it specifically for diaper changing time. Avoid the urge to hand him your phone, keys, or anything that he may unintentionally throw and cause harm. Instead, give him something that lights up or makes a sound. Alternatively, you can give him a diaper or the diaper cream to hold. It will get easier for you to change your baby’s diaper when he is busy playing and investigating his toy.
5. Get Silly
Think of something and try to make your baby laugh. You could make funny faces and sounds, or sing a song in a funny voice. Meanwhile, you can lay him down and quickly do the diaper changing.
6. Sing Songs
Because you're most likely aware of your baby's choices with respect to his selection of songs, be prepared in advance and start humming the favourite song your child enjoys listening to. This will get him distracted and make them smile as well. He may possibly be even looking forward to diaper changes ahead.
7. Keep Narrating Your Actions
In a very calm and soothing tone, narrate to your baby what exactly you are doing and do so simultaneously. Babies love it when you make eye contact; they get the positive feel and know that they are valued and respected.
8. Keep the Baby Warm
Babies like to be kept warm, so make it a point to keep the diaper changing work in a warm area of your house. You could opt for warm wipes or maybe blow warm air gently onto the baby’s chest while changing his diapers.
9. Set up a View
If your room set-up permits, you should opt to set up a lovely and sensory view which your baby can witness as you change his diapers. You can put up the changing mat by the window or paint a mural by the wall.
10. Try a Stand-up Diaper
You can try the pull-up diapers once in a while if your baby’s diaper is just wet and not messy. You can let the baby stand to hold you, while you do a quick clean up and pull on the diaper pants.
11. Talk to Your Baby
A great way to distract and keep your baby involved is to keep talking to him about anything and everything. For example, you can speak to him about fun things he will do after getting his diapers changed. Make the best of the time you have, and have a great conversation with your baby.
A baby passes through different phases as he grows. Try not to stress out about finding it hard to change the diaper of your growing baby. The trick is to keep trying different stuff until you discover the one which works for your child. You must keep in mind that this is a phase and will pass eventually. Soon, your toddler shall stop his extreme behaviour altogether and shall get potty trained. All these hassles and diaper dramas shall be a memory.

Fantasy vs. Reality In Your Toddler
A toddlers understanding of fantasy being different from reality has to be ingrained by parents at just the right age and stage. This makes sure they don't confuse their imagination with the reality around them.
Fantasy is a big, beautiful world. To tingle our children's imagination, we expose them to this wonderful world right from the beginning- telling them stories, talking about fairies and angels, showing them different cartoons and movies that are heavy on fantasy. At the time of growing up, the child believes that all that is being told to him is real until he nearly grows out of being a pre-schooler. It is your prerogative to expose your child to the difference between fantasy and reality. Let's learn how.
Teaching Toddlers About Reality vs. Fantasy
Understand the Child's Perception
Toddlers start understanding the difference between reality and imagination by the time they reach 3-4 years of age. Their understanding of reality is going through the routine of the day, say, going to a birthday party, the playground and the other exciting things he does in the day. For him, fantasy would be cartoon characters, story books and when he does pretend play. However, if your toddler is fond of watching Spiderman and if an artist lands up in the costume of Spiderman at a birthday party, this is sure to confuse him.
Fantasy Empowers Too
The option of completely keeping your child away from fantasy is neither possible nor feasible. In fact, in many situations, pretend play helps a child build his creativity and overcome certain fears like that of falling and getting hurt. Of course, there isn't any harm in keeping an eye on your child's idea of what is fantasy. Encourage him to see the reality of things for the sake of caution. Tell him a superhero can jump forty floors, but in the real world, it could cause unimaginable injuries. Therefore, fantasy is equally important for a child as much as reality.
Helping Toddlers to Differentiate Reality from Fantasy
This difference can be shown best while playing with him or watching a movie. You can introduce the concept of acting and tell him that the actors on the television are pretend playing. You can also show another movie of the same actor in a different role to drive home your point. This will be a fun exercise and will make the concept of what is imaginary and what is crystal clear.
Watch Out for Symptoms
Caution needs to be exercised when fantasy stretches too far and the toddlers understanding of reality becomes warped. Symptoms of this could be if the child stops interacting with friends, constantly lives in his make-believe world, and has conversations with imaginary characters all the time. At this time, you may need to seek professional help.
Parents need to be cautious as well as sensitive while teaching toddlers about reality and fantasy. Do share with us your methods of dealing with this. Read more
