12 Signs You Definitely Have a High-needs Baby
Most mothers of babies with high-needs don't realise that their munchkins are difficult to take care of, until they encounter other moms and their oh-so-ordinary babies. If you've schedule goes haywire and your world keeps changing every day, then here's the news breaker - you have a high-needs baby.
Today, we will tell you about the signs of a high-maintenance babies.
Common Characteristics of a High-needs Baby
From screaming out of nowhere to not napping at all, here are 12 tell-tale signs of a high-needs baby that you must watch out for.
1. He is Never Silent
If you put your baby on the floor or bed and go to another room for a few minutes, your baby cries like anything until you come back to the room and take him in your arms, then he is a high-needs baby. Sometimes, he may keep crying even after you have taken him in your arms. His cries increase by the hour, day-after-day. Sometimes you just wish you had earmuffs, but hey - they're not going to help you for long.
2. He Always Wants To Move
Stillness is not his forte. You have to cradle him in your arms or constantly take him out for walks on strollers. Such babies, if you stop for a single minute, they get cranky. The best advice we can give is to buy a baby tricycle or a swing or any sort of product that gets them to move.
3. He Always Wants Mommy
High-Maintenance baby may choose one parent almost always and it's usually the mom. Sometimes, he may ask for his dad, but the chances are rare. This means moms will have a tough time since they'll be expected to hold the baby and keep munchkins near them all the time. Get a baby carrier to free up your hands since this phase won't be stopping anytime soon. You can trust us on that.
4. He Hates Overstimulation
Although high-needs babies are hyperactive, they don't appreciate it when their environment becomes like them. What we mean is that they don't like a crowd, noisy rooms, and a lot of people smiling and greeting them. If you're having a gathering in the house or going out to busy places, make sure to have a babysitter or someone to take care of him. Yes, the crying will be there, but it'll be less. Try to make sure the next day is peaceful though since he’ll be craving calm after the crying and noises.
5. Sleep Times Are Chaotic
This is a clear tell-tale sign. Most normal babies have a regular sleeping schedule and some take naps frequently too. But no, not a high-maintenance one. Sometimes he may sleep around 5 pm to 6 pm while at other times, he may sleep at 3 am. The time when he will sleep cannot be predicted, but one thing's for sure - when you expect him to fall asleep he’ll stay awake and vice versa. And that's not easy to deal with.
6. He doesn't Accept Formula Milk
High-maintenance babies always want to be breastfed. They don't take no for an answer and they shove away the milk formula when you hand it to them. The breastfeeding tendency has more to do with comfort rather than hunger. Constantly breastfeeding makes them feel as if they're closer to the parent, and warm and safe. It's a basic human contact or an instinctive desire to feel protected. But for moms, your days are going to get more tiring on the other hand.
7. He Wants Stimulation
We just mentioned a few pointers ago that these babies hate stimulation, which is true, but only when it comes from the outside or is directed towards them. But when it comes to themselves, they want it. Some days your baby may want a quiet day with low ambient lighting in the house. Other days, he may want to move around, crawl room to room, or destroy those fancy baby toys you got for him.
8. He will Never Stay Alone
Your baby may also never stay alone. Even if you have to use the bathroom, he might come along. Whether you go to your fitness centre, to a friend's house, or just grocery shopping, your little munchkin may make your life miserable unless you take him with you.
9. He Doesn't Know How To Self-Soothe
High-needs babies have higher needs when it comes to soothing themselves. Pacifiers, baby toys, and flashy and colourful stuff that you show him won't work. The best way to soothe is the old-fashioned way with mom and dad by his side.
10. He Poops Randomly
Normal babies show you signs and go red-faced right before they're about to poop. Their bowel movements are like clockwork, but the same cannot be said for high-need babies. They'll soil their diapers and wet their beds without warning. If there's one thing that's clockwork about them - it's their erratic pooping routines.
11. He Hates To Be Swaddled
Most babies love being swaddled. It takes them back to their days inside the womb and makes them feel warm, comfy, and cosy. But high-needs babies may not like being swaddled. If you've tried to swaddle your baby in breezy or cosy material, you'll notice him throwing a fuss. The best solution is to make sure the carrier has room to move his legs around and lets them dangle.
12. His Cries Incessantly If His Needs Aren't Met
This is the clearest sign you've got a high-needs baby. His needs take precedence over everything else in your life. And if you don't attend to him, your life becomes a living nightmare since the cries and outbursts get louder to the point of insanity. You'll also sometimes feel as if he’s the one in control since everything goes at his pace, from feeding and sleeping to rocking and playing.
Don't worry, it won't last forever. The good news is high needs baby and intelligence traits are connected the more they mature!
How to Deal with Your High-needs Baby
Do you have a high-needs baby? Does he throw tantrum all the time? Here's how to deal with it.
1. Make Time for Yourself
Sometimes taking care of your high needs baby may zap the energy out of you. And you won't be able to take care of him if you don't take care of yourself first. The best way to go about this is to take him to the areas surrounded by greenery and people. Take him for a stroll in the park and let him interact with kids while you spend a few minutes meditating or simply breathing.
2. Be a "Yes" Mom
If your baby wants a diaper change, do it without fuss. If he wants to be breastfed, do it. For a few months agree to everything your baby wants. If you respond to your baby's needs rather than react, they'll get the message that you care. Wean off the "yes" responses and start saying no when it's inappropriate. Do this when they get a few months older though.
3. Learn to Read Cues
If your baby prefers specific foods and textures and cries when you give him formula, analyse that. Observe him. Find out what makes him happy and what makes him throw tantrums. Be patient with the process and learn his preferences.
4. Journal Your Feelings
Once your baby falls asleep and you get some time for yourself, journal your thoughts and feelings. Write down whatever you feel. Let everything out on paper. Try this brain-drain activity and you'll feel refreshed after the experience.
5. Hire a Babysitter
If you can find a babysitter who gets along with your baby, hire her. Let her take care of your munchkin few days of the week. You deserve some time off, after all.
6. Find a Support Group
Find a support group and meet like-minded moms who are going through the same trouble. You'll meet new people and find tips that work well for your high-needs baby.
7. Remember That Your Child is Unique
A high-needs baby is a unique baby. Don't compare him with the rest of the babies in the world. Treat your baby with a mindset that your little one is different and he needs special attention and care.
Putting in the time for your munchkin and attending to his needs will pay off in the long run. When the years pass by, you'll look back and actually start missing this time.

Eating Ghee During Pregnancy - Benefits, Risks & Myths
Ghee is one of the main ingredients used for cooking in India. When a woman is pregnant, she is often told to consume ghee, especially by the elders of the family, as it is believed to assist vaginal delivery (though there is no scientific study to prove the same). But is it good to eat ghee during pregnancy? Read on to discover all you need to know about consuming ghee during pregnancy.
Is It Safe to Eat Ghee During Pregnancy?
It is a known fact that a balanced diet and nutrition is of utmost importance for a pregnant woman. During pregnancy, a woman also needs to consume healthy fats. Ghee is a source of fats and thus can be included in the diet of a pregnant woman. However, one should include it only after consulting with a doctor.
Benefits of Eating Ghee During Pregnancy
Ghee is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, Omega 9 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Ghee has many health benefits but its benefits in pregnancy are not scientifically proven. However, in Indian culture ghee is believed to benefit a pregnant woman in the following ways.
It may provide relief from constipation during pregnancy.
It may help in the development of baby’s brain.
It helps in improving the digestion of a woman.
It helps nourish the baby.
It helps ease the labour.
Homemade ghee is a better and healthier option as compared to ghee or clarified butter that is procured from the market. You may begin consuming desi ghee in the first trimester but if you are concerned that you will gain too much weight or if you are already overweight, then it is recommended to include desi ghee in your diet only after consulting with your doctor.
Is Ghee Really Necessary for Pregnant Women?
Diet plays an important role in pregnancy. It is important for an expecting mother to eat a well-balanced diet to provide good nutrition to her growing foetus. It is believed that ghee lubricates the vagina and helps in normal delivery. It is also believed that it eases labour pain and is also effective in stimulating contractions. However, these beliefs are not supported by any scientific evidence. A pregnant woman only requires 350 extra calories to cater to the nutritional needs of the growing foetus. These extra calories can be obtained by eating a good diet that may include ghee also. However, consumption of ghee in large quantities may lead to weight gain. If weight gain is a concern then you should refrain from excess consumption of ghee.
Why Consuming Ghee During Pregnancy Might Not Be Safe?
Consuming ghee in pregnancy does not have any ill effects on the health of the mother or her unborn child. You may include ghee in your diet during pregnancy as it is a healthy source of fats. However, it is important to include it in moderate amounts, as consuming it in large amounts could lead to weight gain and obesity. As physical activity also reduces in the last months of pregnancy, so if you eat more ghee in the last months of your pregnancy, it can make you and your baby gain more weight. Normal or vaginal delivery too can become difficult in case your baby gains more weight. Adding ghee to your diet may also lead to excess weight gain in case you are on a high-calorie diet. And excess weight and obesity may cause complications in your pregnancy and it may become very difficult to get rid of excess fat after childbirth.
Therefore, if you are already overweight or have concerns about gaining excess weight in your pregnancy, it is advisable to consult your doctor before including ghee in your diet.
Myths Associated With Eating Ghee While Pregnant
There are a number of myths associated with eating desi ghee during pregnancy. It is tasty and healthy, no doubt, but many people believe that drinking milk with ghee added to it can provide for extra nutrition and calories to the pregnant woman and her unborn child. It is also believed that it aids the birthing process by lubricating the vagina. Many people think that including ghee in the pregnancy diet in the ninth month helps in normal delivery. However, these are just myths so don't add ghee in your diet just because you like the taste. If you wish to eat ghee during pregnancy, you can but only after consulting with your doctor.
Are There Any Risks and Complications?
There are no known risks or complications of consuming ghee other than the possibility of putting on extra weight (which is a consequence). A balanced diet is of utmost importance in pregnancy as it nourishes you and your baby. It is advisable that you have small frequent meals instead of having 3 big meals at a single time. Including more fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet is a healthy option. If you are enjoying good health and you do not have any weight gain issues, then you may include a moderate amount of desi ghee in your diet. Ghee has been in use since ages in almost all Indian homes and it is also a good source of dietary fat.
It is recommended that you seek expert medical advice whenever you plan to make any dietary changes in pregnancy. Your doctor may recommend the best food options for you in pregnancy.

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="360"] Source: http://www.bollywoodvogue.com/sexy-bipasha-basu-at-the-press-conference/[/caption]
Bindi, the small dot we sport between our eyebrows, originates from the Sanskrit word ‘bindu’. But did you know the significance of bindi?
A bindi is associated with the mystical third eye of a person and refers to the higher consciousness! When adorned by married woman and in red colour, it is a sign of true love and prosperity. The bindi also has a special significance on religious occasions and festivals.
Today, while the colour of a bindi may have lost significance, it is still considered to be an intrinsic part of Indian culture.
2. Nose Ring (Nath)
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Source: https://www.india.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/nath-300x177.jpg[/caption]
While nose rings originate from the Middle East and were brought to the subcontinent by Mughal emperors, they have a special significance in Indian culture too. Women wear bridal nose rings or nose rings with chains as a sign of marital status. Often, large nose rings are considered to be an indicator of the wearer’s affluence as well.
But did you know that as per Ayurveda, women who get their nose pierced experience less pain during child birth? The spot is associated with the female reproductive organ.
Today, the West has adopted the nose ring as a fashion accessory and is also importing the bridal nose ring as a style statement.
3. Bangles
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="360"] Source: https://img.xcitefun.net/users/2013/03/321305,xcitefun-bridal-hands-photography-7.jpg[/caption]
Bangles of various styles have been worn since ancient times by women in the Indian Subcontinent. The bangles history is quite rich and royal! From steel to glass, different regions have bangles of different materials.
The first meaning of bangles is the one we are familiar with: marriage. Newly wed brides, especially from parts of North India, wear the ‘Chuda’ bangles as a sign of their marriage. But bangles are also said to increase blood circulation and maintain energy due to their shape!
It was earlier considered to be a necessity for women to wear bangles for getting married, though it isn’t the case anymore. However, we still wear bangles at festivals and occasions.
4. Mangalsutra
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="234"] Source: https://i0.wp.com/youmeandtrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/mangalsutra-design-images.jpg?resize=550%2C846[/caption]
This one we know very well, thanks to Bollywood movies and Indian TV shows! The Mangalsutra, worn only by married women, is a symbol of love and commitment made by a couple when they are bound in the holy institution of marriage. The importance of mangalsutra can be understood from the words it is derived from – the word ‘mangal’ means holy while the word ‘sutra’ means thread.
The black beads in a mangalsutra are said to provide protection from evil powers. A woman, it is said, should continue to wear mangalsutra throughout her husband’s life as a sign of goodwill of her husband and the prosperity of her family.
Today, while wearing/not wearing a mangalsutra is a matter of personal choice, it remains an accessory of beauty and charm.
5. Payal
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="360"] Source: theknotstory.com[/caption]
Did you know that as per ancient Indian culture, the feet are considered to be the humblest and the most impure part of the human body, as they touch the ground? Payals, used to adorn them, are a sign of devotion to the wearer by her/his family.
As infants, both males and females are gifted payals but males outgrow them. This is because, in addition to devotion, payals also signify femininity.
Another interesting thing is that payals are made of silver, not gold. This is because gold is considered to be the symbol of the goddess of wealth, i.e. Lakshmi and wearing it in the feet is seen as blasphemous.
6. Mang Tikka
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="288"] Source: http://image.newsdog.today/origin_ae941d5aa52ae13e9252ba27c53cb624[/caption]
The mang tikka is the jewelry used to adorn the centre parting of the hair. From ornate to simple, different cultures of India have different styles of mang tikkas and each of these variations has a different meaning.
The mang tikka is generally worn by young women who are married or are to be married soon. The mang tikka is an essential bridal accessory as it symbolises the union of two souls. It falls on the spot of the ajna chakra - a symbol of the sacred union of man and woman in all aspects.
7. Toe Rings (Bichiya/Metti)
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="360"] Source: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/81/71/61/8171616be4b7aae2767efd1821d6fe11.jpg[/caption]
Toe rings are accessories worn on the second toes of the each feet. They are generally placed by the groom on the bride’s feet during their wedding ceremony. Similar to the payals, toe rings are made of silver because gold ornaments on the feet are considered disrespectful. Silver is also said to absorb energy from the earth and pass it to the body.
8. Hip Belt (Kamarband)
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="362"] Source: http://www.bollywoodshaadis.com/img-scale/670/article-2016123637020525325000.jpg[/caption]
Finally, this one we love! Though the Hip Belt or the Kamarband is not as common today, it was worn by women in the olden days to avoid saturation of fat on the waist area and help maintain her figure. Isn’t that amazing?
The old kamarbands were thick and heavy like a belt. However, today, kamarbands are considered to be a fashion accessory and are thinner with a naval pendant to flatter the waist of the wearer.

Effects of Solar Eclipse (Surya Grahan) 2019 On Zodiac Signs
The effects of a solar eclipse can be good or bad in accordance with the placement of stars in your natal chart. In connection to the solar eclipse 2019, let us explore the impact that it may have on all the 12 zodiac signs.
How Does Solar Eclipse Impact Us Astrologically?
Astrologically, a solar eclipse can have a major effect on some, and on others, it can have a minor impact. Listed below are some of the astrological effects of the solar eclipse in 2019 on us.
A solar eclipse can prove to be good or bad for people. Few eclipses can bring in life-changing moments like marriage, birth of a baby, a promotion, a new job, etc. whereas some may not have a good effect and bring in bad times like death in the family, a divorce, developing health issues, surgery, etc.
Each eclipse is the end of a chapter in your life and the beginning of another. However, solar eclipses usually bring positive changes in your life, but one’s natal charts have to be consulted for one to confirm.
An eclipse may speed up major events in your life - marriage, relocating to a different country etc., which you may have planned for a few years later. The turn of events may be such that you are compelled to let go of your earlier plan and go with the present scenario.
Eclipses bring forth truths which you may not have known, and these truths may help you make some major decisions in life.
An eclipse is also instrumental in revealing some near one’s deepest, darkest secrets which may at that point be painful for you but on the other hand, can act as a boon.
If your partner leaves you during or after an eclipse, know for good that he will never come back to you. This is because whatever the turn of events the eclipse brings, it will never reverse.
Never ignore any news that you hear near the time of an eclipse. They are signals foretelling you of what is to come or what your future may hold.
Take care of your health whenever an eclipse falls within 5 days after your birthday. You also have to be cautious about your health if your birthday falls exactly six months from the time of the eclipse.
At times, a solar eclipse makes an important male member in your life leave you. It can be your husband, boyfriend leaving you or your boss quitting the job; it can be any male member who will bring a change in your life.
Usually, a particular eclipse is good for the sun signs that fall on the same element. For example, if an eclipse falls on Virgo (which has the earth element), it will be good for the sun signs having the same element, like Taurus and Capricorn.

I hear you!Yes, I hear you!
I do have a YouTube channel too where in I speak about believing in yourself and how to stop doubting oneself.
If you still have self doubt,Go learn a Hobby,Go divert your mind!
For example… Learn to start your own butterfly garden for a change…. check out below video how you can learn to start a butterfly garden in 10 minutes! It will distract you from your daily routine!https://youtu.be/BinycFwZ6lc
Learning this skill will not only divert your mind, but will help you teach your baby a way of life, a life cycle from a Caterpillar to a Chrysalis to a Butterfly!
And who knows learning this skill might not only distract you,It might not only teach your child how a butterfly is born,But you may give life to a Butterfly by supporting this mission of contributing to MOTHER NATURE!!!And Mother Nature in return mysteriously help you to come out of self doubt!
Help yourself by helping mother nature!

A. I think it would be advisable for you to get an ultrasound done with your doctor that’s going to give you a clarity because if there is a pregnancy it would be visible at least at least that sack is visible if it’s a regular pregnancy so it would be advisable to have a test with your doctor
