Tips for Choosing a Meaningful Muslim Name for Your Baby Boy
In traditional Muslim families, babies are given a name on the seventh day of their birth. Many Muslims choose Arabic names for their babies. Here is what you should keep in mind while choosing a name for your baby.
Opt for a boy's name that has the prefix ‘Abd’ to indicate servitude to god.
Choose a name after Prophets and righteous men.
The name you choose should not promote vanity and pompousness.
Avoid choosing names that bear connotation to bad omens or names that belong to immoral people.
It is important for Muslims to take into consideration the restrictions and suggestions made by eminent scholars before they pick a name for their child.

How to manage diaper and diaper free time in babies above 5 months and also how to prevent rashes.
Hello all am sharing my personal experience on how i manage a baby's pee and poo time in detail.
managing a baby's diaper time within 3 months of age is easy according to me as they would be in one place and play. You can go diaper free in this period as waterproof absorbable dry sheets are available easily everywhere. 2 to 3 sheets a day is more than enough. Can be washed and reused.
The difficult phase comes when they crawl around and these sheets are hardly enough. All i can say is of no use. So what are the things we can do? Read below.
5 months and above babies crawl around they try to stand, sit and what not!?. When its a happy phase to watch them the diapering thing can get messy and sometimes irritating. Good management is important.
The right way to provide them both the diaper and diaper free time.
Try these things:
Babies as they grow, the sleep patterns also fall in place. They sleep longer in the nights than before. You can use diapers in the night. If they wakeup in the middle change to a new one.
In the day time They will be more busy in their activites. Ditch the diaper and use cotton pants slightly thick ones. The pee would stay in that and wont soil around much. Change as they pee.
Babies above 5 months of age take atleast two naps a day. What you can do is after bath since they sleep you can use cloth diapers so as to not disturb their sleep. The sleep will be max 2 hours.
Give the babies as much as freedom. About 7 to 8 hours of diaper free time is great.
Whenever using the diapers apply coconut oil. This really helps in preventing the rashes and great for skin. I religiously use coconut oil. You can also use alomond oil .If you want to buy any creams look for zinc containing ones.
Suppose you dont have any other go and must use diapers, look for organic ones as they are more skin friendly.
Normal diapers if using always remember to change every 3 hours to prevent rashes.
These are the few ways you can try to make it a bit easier on your side handling the babies diaper time. Read more

What to Eat for an Easy Period!
Your monthly period is when you discuss with full gusto the pains of womanhood! When your uterus sheds its lining, you've to deal with painful cramps, mood swings, fatigue and bloating. It’s also when you crave junk-food and forget eating healthy. The good news is that these nutritious foods to eat during periods will make things easier.
As if your periods weren't taxing enough already, things can worsen if you've deficiency of certain vitamins or poor eating habits. Fortunately, it’s easy to get around this with nutritious food and lots of water. Try out these cool secrets to easier chums and be better prepared every month.
5 Foods to Ease Menstrual Cramps
1. Go green
Loading up on fruits and veggies is one of the best things you can do while you’re on your periods. Indulge in fibre-rich foods that your body needs when menstruating. Eating green leafy vegetables is a must as they’re rich in iron. In fact, they make for some of the best foods for menstrual cycles. Gorging on juicy fruits packed with vitamin C will keep you hydrated, feed your body much-needed nutrients and increase iron absorption. Just make sure you don’t overdo things as this can lead to bloating.
2. Boost your fatty acids intake
Nuts, seeds and fatty fish are excellent sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which are one of the essential foods to eat during periods. Fatty acids also decrease the severity of cramps and help relax your muscles. Loading up on walnuts, chia seeds, flax seeds and sunflower seeds is also a great idea. Do stock up on salmon and mackerel or fish oil supplements too. Your children will also love these innovative snacks!
3. Beans and lentils can be magical
Beans, legumes and whole grains are also terrific foods for an easier menstrual cycle. The proteins, fibre, iron, essential amino acids and complex carbohydrates derived from these foods help boost your energy and regulate your mood swings. Now, won't hubby be pleased about that?
4. Chocolates... and more of them!
Eating a couple of pieces of dark chocolate prior to and during menstruation can soothe mood swings and ease period pains. Dark chocolate has antioxidants and it’s known to release serotonin - a hormone that helps improve your mood. Jumping in joy? Well, do remember moderation is the key as too much chocolate can bring bloating and unwanted weight gain. Oops.
5. Water, water everywhere
Remember, your body needs to be hydrated all the time during your menses. Drinking more water will also help ease bloating caused by water retention. Strange? Well, our bodies retain water if we’re not getting enough but when you start having more, water’s released and you’re left feeling light and healthy. Also cut down on your salt intake and avoid sugar-spiked fruit juices to keep body sugar levels even.
Once you’ve learnt the foods to prevent menstrual cramps, start making healthier choices. Drink enough water, do light exercises, and de-stress yourself. Practice deep breathing exercises to calm down especially when you feel those familiar stirrings of irritation. What's more, running after the kids won’t leave you feeling quite so bone tired if you're eating right! Read more

5 Things a New Mother Should Own
If you are reading this, congratulations, as I am guessing that you must be a new mother. Becoming a mother for the first time can be an overwhelming experience. You will be happy but you will also be nervous at the same time. A new mother's life changes completely and it can take a while for her to settle in the new role. But there are certain things that can make your life easier. Read on to know about the five essential things that will make your life a little easier as a new mother.
1. Nipple Shield
As a new mother, the very first challenge you will face is getting your child to latch on your breast as the nipples won't be fully ready to start nursing. One thing that comes as a rescue during these tough times is a nipple shield. Using the same helps in ensuring that you breastfeed your baby right from day one and. Use a nipple shield which is easy to use. However, remember that nipple shields should be used for a short while and only if you face any latching issues else your baby might get used to the silicone nipple.
2. Nursing Pads/Nursing Bras
As a new mother, you will experience milk leakage from the breast. Breast milk supply works on demand and supply, but it takes a little while for that pattern to set in. It could get quite messy if you don’t use a nursing pad or nursing bra, which will help you in soaking up excess milk which leaks from your breast. There is a whole range of nursing pads and bras available online and you can opt for the one that fits your requirement.
3. Nursing Gowns
Nursing gowns either have zip or button closures in the front, which enable you to easily feed whenever required. Nursing gowns are a must-have to ensure that your breastfeeding experience is smooth and comfortable.
4. Electric Breast Pump
Initial few months of motherhood will require you to be always around your baby if you choose to exclusively breastfeed your child. In such instances, it becomes difficult for a new mother to step out and visit the doctor, especially if you are unwell and want a little rest. The breast pump comes in handy and ensures that you get little rest whenever you need. Electric breast pumps are much easier and less painful to use than a manual one.
5. Lavender Oil
As a new mother, the biggest challenge I faced was insomnia. As a newborn baby feeds every 2-3 hours, it could get difficult to adjust in the initial few months after delivery. The erratic sleep schedules of your newborn could affect your sleep pattern and make it difficult for you to fall asleep. So instead of opting for medicines, opt for a natural product like lavender oil. Spray the lavender oil on the pillow. The fragrance of this oil will help in relaxing the mind and make you sleep better.

A. Hello mam! If it is due to colic pain /gas, it is common in newborns. Make sure that you burp your baby after every feed. Don't feed just before your baby is to sleep. Make a routine like feed, play and sleep. Burp inbetween feedings. Colic pain will stop automatically at 5 or 6 months. So don't worry. Happy parenting!

A. the average birth weight of neonates is about 3 kg.
during the first few days after birth, the newborn loses
extracellular fluid equivalent to about 10% of the body
weight.
most infants regain their birth weight by the age of 10 days. subsequently, they gain weight at a rate of
approximately 25 to 30 g per day for the first 3 months of life.
thereafter they gain about 400 g weight every month,
for the remaining part of the first year. x
an infant usually doubles his birth weight (taken as 3 kg) by the age of 5 months. the birth weight triples at 1 year and is four times at 2 years of age.
the weight of ca child at the age of three years is usually
five times that of the birth weight.

A. Gas related problem is very common in small babies because of many factor including immaturity of the gut .
other factors include cow's milk introduction before huu1 year of age , bottle feeding, not giving proper burping after each feed.
Digestive enzymes like aglozyme drops can be given as suggested by doctor in proper dose for reliving of such symptoms .
