Nutritional Facts of Black Pepper
Black pepper is an excellent source of some vital nutrients. It is packed with vitamins like vitamin C and vitamin K. It also contains essential minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium. potassium and copper. It is a very good source of antioxidants also.
Health Benefits of Consuming Black Pepper During Pregnancy
Including black pepper in your pregnancy diet (in moderation, of course!) can be very beneficial for your health during pregnancy. Some of them are listed below.
1. It helps improve immunity.
Black pepper is known to improve the immunity of the body. During pregnancy, a regular and optimal intake of pepper in the diet serves as a natural immunity booster.
2. It improves digestion.
The growing uterus in pregnancy presses against the digestive system and causes acidity, indigestion, and heartburn. One of the natural ways of combating this problem during pregnancy is including pepper in your diet frequently. It significantly reduces flatulence and bloating that occurs during pregnancy.
3. It provides relief from cough and cold.
If you have a cold and cough during pregnancy, taking medicines for the same is not recommended as they may interact with pregnancy medication and cause side effects. But you can try some simple home remedies for cough and cold. One of the best home remedies for curing a bout of cold is including pepper in all the foods. Adding pepper to a soup can also alleviate the symptoms of the cold.
4. It may help fight depression.
Depression is common among pregnant women both during pregnancy and after delivery. Consumption of pepper daily in small amounts can ensure good mental and emotional health.
5. It may prevent neural tube defects in the baby.
Folic acid is a very essential vitamin for a pregnant woman, especially in the first trimester of her pregnancy. The consumption of folic acid is essential for preventing the occurrence of neural tube defects. You can include pepper and other 'folic acid'-rich foods in your diet to meet your daily requirements of this nutrient.
6. It keeps blood pressure in check.
Blood pressure can be harmful to an expecting mother as it can lead to further complications in the last trimester and during delivery. Slightly elevated blood pressure can be controlled naturally by the regular consumption of pepper.
7. It may help fight acne.
Pepper can also help fight acne. It is, in fact, one of the safest and natural ingredients that can flush out toxins from your body and lower the chances of skin infections. Applying a mixture of honey and pepper or including pepper in small amounts in your pregnancy daily diet can help you get acne-free skin.
8. It may help prevent cancer.
The antioxidant in pepper can help in combating the rapid changes in the body of an expecting mother and prevent free radicals from attacking healthy tissues to cause cancer. Pepper contains antioxidant piperine, which may help kill certain cancer cells and even inhibit the growth of cancerous cells. Pepper along with turmeric can even prevent the growth of cancerous cells in breasts.
Side Effects of Consuming Pepper During Pregnancy
Pepper can be consumed during pregnancy and it won't cause any harm if you include it in your diet in moderation. But some women experience certain side effects even if taken in small amounts.
1. It may lead to an allergic reaction.
Some women may experience an allergic reaction to some food substances during pregnancy. Pepper can trigger a series of symptoms indicating an allergy. If you experience any such reaction, it is better to avoid the intake of pepper, especially during pregnancy. You can try adding just a pinch of it to give the required spicy flavour and check if the reaction persists. You can also consult your doctor if the allergic symptoms are severe.
2. It may result in a burning sensation.
Experiencing a burning sensation in the stomach or throat after consumption of pepper is quite normal. But during pregnancy, when there are issues of indigestion and heartburn, consumption of pepper can sometimes worsen the situation. In such cases, it is best to avoid spicy foods.
3. It can increase body heat.
If yours is a summer pregnancy, it is best that you ditch the spicy items as they can increase body heat. Including pepper or other spices in your diet can increase the heat of the body and cause indigestion issues, mouth ulcers, and other such complications.
Warning
Including pepper in your diet in normal doses may not cause any harm but it does have potential side effects for pregnant women. Other than causing digestion and gastrointestinal problems, it may make the pregnancy journey difficult for a woman. Furthermore, if black pepper oil is used topically (on the skin), it may act as a uterine stimulant and lead to early contractions.
Pepper is the king of spices and it offers numerous benefits for the health. However, it should be consumed in moderation. Adding a dash of it in your diet is sure to help you tide over a lot of pregnancy-related health concerns easily. But do consult a doctor before making it a part of your diet!

Things New mother of India need to know about childbirth and delivery
It is true that Pregnancy and childbirth is really difficult for every mother, during this time she goes through a lot of changes and troubles mentally and physically, especially if she is a first time Mom. She definitely needs right guidance and care throughout the time, but in some Indian families and cultures this has become a taboo which consists of so many rituals and superstitions. It's sometimes disturbing to see that these things are making women so uncomfortable at their own homes. And may be this is the reason why the women here are so scared and confused about pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care and also at a higher risk of postpartum depression.
We need to balance things...especially in India and neighbouring countries we need to study research and learn about the actual process of pregnancy and birth, the facts and figures, latest techniques and procedure used C section delivery, postpartum recovery and newborn care.
5 Things new moms and pregnant moms need to know are :
1.Pregnancy and childbirth is a natural procedure: Every woman before she decides to be a mom needs to know the fact very well that pregnancy and childbirth is nothing new or unique going to happen with her, it's a part of life and very natural which happens with all mothers.
2. Every mother can take care of her baby herself: May be you are a first time Mom and inexperienced but after all you have given birth to that baby, you know her very well and you can care her best way. In first few days a new Mom should try to ask for help and meanwhile learn proper ways to handle the baby but that doesn't mean you are going to call your mom Or a friend every time you bathe your baby. You need to be confident that you can do it yourself after a little bit of practice.
3. Keep yourself active: It is very common that your family and friends telling you to take rest for 6 weeks (40 days) because it's a traditional thing in India that new mom should only be resting for that 40 days period after delivery. There is nothing wrong in it because it's true that you need more and more rest after delivery for your body to recover faster and better but that doesn't mean you can't even get out of your bed. Women here are not supposed to be active and doing exercise or their daily chires themselves post delivery which is sometimes very harmful for their own health and body. Remember the more active you will be the higher will be your body's recovery speed.
4.Healthy Diet: One of the most important factors in your postpartum recovery is your food, healthy food is a must for new moms and babies good health. When we say healthy food for new mom what comes to minds here is tons of desi ghee and dry fruits, these things are also nutritious but that's not enough. For a healthy body you need right nutrition and a balanced diet. Fruits vegetables, poultry etc. are equally important for good recovery and you should definitely avoid that excessive amounts of ghee and dry fruits because excess of anything is not good for you.
5. Read, research and learn: We all have smartphones and in our hands, we can use this to learn parenting, newborn care and self care. Search about the same, watch videos read articles, join some groups, apps or channels who provide information about the topics. Learning and knowing things beforehand is really going to help you with your baby, learn from other people's experiences and share yours with other moms. Reading and watching on such topics will also help you deal with postpartum depression as it will be easy for you to understand that you are not alone going through this but there are so many other people who are with you in this. Your Child Is Your Reflection, So Practice What You Preach!
It's often heard a strict mother is good mother...so are lenient mothers bad? Children learn by observing things around them, they become what they see, listen & act the way we conduct ourselves around them.
Is there a way to determine what is the best possible practice in upbringing your little ones?
See this illustration:

I have this fear that if we fail to raise him right at this stage then it will have a huge repercussion on him future. So I become the nagging mother, who is constantly poking her nose (with pure intentions of his goodwill) in smallest of tasks he does, my husband has named me "helicopter mom" because of this. This doesn't end here, one day I insisted my husband that we should try to follow all the knowledge. I have read online about the authoritative approach, but soon we realised there's no black and white in parenting...its always grey! As much we want to reason with our son, its practically impossible to explain him consequences every time.
So we moulded the theoretical gyan to our practical lives. It made our lives much easier. Now we try to make him an all rounder but we never force our desires upon him. We just try and reason with him that he should try everything once, if he is scared of us, we try to make him face it, because if something instills a fear inside him, it should be curbed out with immense love and support from us at this stage! Later he'll learn to fight on his own. Similarly, if he is disappointed or frustrated by several trials and not succeeding (yes such feelings are there in a 2 year old too!) We hold his hands and work with him on it, and when he succeeds ,we clap and say very good in acknowledgement. It boosts his confidence a lot and it reflects in his personality too!
Because when a baby is raised with not just love & care but equal amounts of teaching what is right & wrong and never give up attitude, he/she shall grpw up to be a healthy person not just physically but mentally too!

Having a Labor & Normal delivery | First time Mom | No epidural
Hey, everyone today i want to share a beautiful day in my life, when my boy came into this world.
23rd March 2020.
My due date was on 4th april, later it was preponed to 30th of March.
I had no health issues throughout the pregnancy, but i did had pelvic pain in my third trimester.
Like any other expecting mother, i was eagerly waiting for my labor pain to start.
Due to coronavirus outbreak, i was not supposed to go outside for walk, so i did squats at home.
Next day at 8.00 in the morning, I felt slight pain
But i was not sure if it was fake contraction or i was really in labor. I told my MIL & husband to wait for sometime as the hospital was just 10 min drive from my place. After sometime my pain and the frequency started to increase also i started to bleed and went to the washroom in every 5 minutes.
I had bread butter and milk for the breakfast and got ready for the hospital.
We left the home by 10.20 and reached the hospital by 10.30.
I had undergone some self assessment, and nurse told me that I was 6 cm dilated.
My pain had increased, it was like period pain multiplied by 100.
I was taken to the labor room directly, by the time my husband was doing all the formalities.
I was lying in the labour room, with 4 nurses around.
I was not much scared because I was aware about the procedure, i was practicing lamaze technique of breathing to ease the contraction.
And breathing technique really helped me.
After sometime my doctor arrived, she asked me to push.
In 3 to 4 push my baby had arrived at 1.03 Pm.
After that doctor performed all the other procedure to remove placenta and stitching.
Meanwhile my baby was cleaned and handed over to my family. Read more

A. Bio-Oil & Pregnancy
For the past 20 years, Bio Oil has been used by pregnant women and it is safe for use in the prevention of stretch marks by maintaining supple and well-hydrated skin. This original formulation maximizes the elasticity of the skin, which reduces the chances of developing stretch marks.

A. That’s completely only not worry about it even if your child doesn’t part with motion for another total 10 days basically then also it wouldn’t be a problem still if you see the child is discounted then in that case you should consult your doctor for some laxative

A. No I’m afraid you’ll have to quit breastfeeding your child because it is not advisable to feed your child when you’re pregnant with the second child is not healthy for you neither for your coming child so you’ll have to skip and quit onto your breastfeeding
