First Meeting With My Bundle Of Joy In This Tough Situation
Its saturday 8th of august and we have an appointment with our gynaecologist for regular checkup, I am in my 38th week of pregnancy.
Doctor checked the heart beats of the baby and told me everything is normal and come back after 7 days for regular checkup. That day I was not feeling well, my stomach and back is paining a lot still we travelled 10km for the checkup. When I came back to home we had luch and I fall asleep when I woke up its already 7pm. I got fresh and we all had dinner, while doing dinner I trigger pain after taking a walk I walked to bed and around 12am my labour pain has started, due to coronavirus situation there is shortage of beds in hospital. We wait till morning 6am and then rushed to hospital withing 2 hours I delivered a cute little baby boy. But hospital allowed only one person with the patient there I felt discomfort as only my mother is with me, my father and my husband is standing outside the hospital in the rain. After very next day doctor has gave us discharge from the hospital. But I was facing problem in breastfeeding, its rainy season and due to coronavirus situation hospitals are not allowing only limited patients, still we went to the doctor when my baby wad only 15 days old. And its really very tough situation to take your baby to the hospital because I am not giving formula milk to the baby so we have to take him with me. The best thing was my husband is with in every situation. What Is the History of Women’s Equality Day?
Before the Civil War in the United States was initiated, the women’s suffrage day movement had already begun. By the 1830s, the United States had granted the right to vote from rich white males with lots of properties to white males no matter how much property they had in their name. The United States became the central ground for various movements during these times, including anti-slavery, moral movements, temperance movements, and others. Women were known to play a crucial role in each of them.
It was there in New York in 1848 that abolitionists gathered to discuss the various societal problems that women were facing every day. One would be surprised to know that in this discussion, few males encouraged the idea of women having their own political identities and would be independent individuals and not extensions of their fathers and husbands. The National American Woman Suffrage Association started in the 1890s and was headed by Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
In 1920, Bainbridge Colby, Secretary Of State, signed the proclamation that granted American women the right to vote. After 1970, in 1971, following the Women’s Strike For Equality, and then in 1973, Congresswoman Bella Abzug of New York worked on introducing August 26 as Women’s Equality Day.
On August 16, 1973, President Nixon issued Proclamation 4236, which began in part, “The struggle for women’s suffrage, however, was only the first step toward full and equal participation of women in our Nation’s life. In recent years, we have made other giant strides by attacking sex discrimination through our laws and by paving new avenues to equal economic opportunity for women. Today, in virtually every sector of our society, women are making important contributions to the quality of American life. And yet, much still remains to be done.”

The significance behind August 26 women’s equality day is celebrating women and recognizing the journey they have been through in achieving their goal within a male-dominated society. How to Save Water At Home to Address the Water Crisis
Going by the current scenario, it gives me the chills as a parent to even think about the future our children are going to have! Despite having our beautiful planet covered 71% by water, alas, there is only 2.5% of it to drink and in the future, that too will be scarce!
In India itself, 21 cities with a population of 100 million including metros like Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai will run out of groundwater by 2020. That's less than 6 months away! How can we all be so oblivious to such a global issue which will affect us directly?! And let’s not blame the government and people in high places for it, ok? Do you do the bare minimum to keep the water wastage under control?
Here Are a Couple of Changes We Have Incorporated in Our House:
Get rid of the water pipes! We don’t realise how much water we waste by using our pipes to clean the driveway/water plants. It’s convenient but causes a real dent to our water supply!
Don’t drain the RO waste water, instead, use it for mopping floors/washing cars/washing utensils/ watering plants, etc.
Use a water bucket and a mop to clean your cars and you really don’t have to wash all your cars on the same day even if you don’t take them out! Fix a day for every car and ration the amount of water you need to clean every car!
Use the old-fashioned water cans with spouts to water plants every alternate day, you need the greens more than anything right now, but don’t fill the pots to the brim with water either!
Skip the shower and use a bucket for a bath. And give yourself 2 minutes and 1 bucket for bath and if the water is left, don’t drain it. Leave it for the next family member or water plants with it!
When serving water, fill only half the cups and refill it if someone asks.
Don’t waste water from old bottles or cups, instead use them for watering plants.
Wash your vegetables and fruits in a bowl of water, please don’t put them directly under the running tap.
Put a glass/mug in every washroom next to the wash basin for brushing/shaving. Switching the tap on and off real quick really won’t help the cause!
As much as our kids are water babies, let’s not waste water in inflatable pools at home for only an hour of fun and frolic for the kids! And if you still do, at least reuse the water for gardening or cleaning.
Use their inflatable pools to collect rainwater you can use in the household.
Reuse your towel for about a week before you throw it in for washing. Similarly, if your clothes (except innerwear) are not dirty or soaked in sweat, re-wear them.
Educate your kids and house-help about the problem and how important it is to address it for the sake of their own future!
