My experience on how my entire family of 11 members overcame covid.
Dealing with covid for three months from August to October has been very tiring. I just wanted to share with you people how emotionally and physically draining it is once you test covid positive.
Everything was fine till the first week of August, then one day my sister in law called us saying that she had severe cold and fever. We were worried if it would be covid but still hoped that it would be a normal fever. But still we asked her to isolate herself away from her kids (they were six and one year old each). But things didn't go as we expected, a day after my sister in law my brother said he was feverish and had headache. By now we were really worried . Before we could even think of taking the test both his kids got fever. The covid was in peak at that time so we didn't know what to do. They all tested positive and were under home quarantine for nearly three weeks and our family doctor was monitoring them.
My sister in law complained of breathing problems so we took a scan and found that she had lung infection. The doctor told she can he be at home and take medication but have to check her oxygen level and report him every two hours. Gradually they started losing their sense of taste and smell. My brother stopped my father from visiting his apartment often to keep food worried that he would get sick. My father went just to keep medicines in front of his door and would return. Finally after nearly a month of struggle my brother's family was recovering and everything was falling into place or that was what we thought when my sister called saying she had cold and headache.
Same as my brother first my sister got fever then her kids (13 and 6 yr each) got fever then my brother in law. They were under quarantine for three weeks in the month of September, but before they could recover my father got cold and headache and when tested he came out positive. We immediately decided to admit him in hospital since he was above 65 years and also I had my six months old baby boy with me. All were worried that I might get affected and admitted my dad on the same day. Only my mom and I were left at home. The corporation officialls told both my mom and I have to get tested. But before the day of test my mom knew she would be postive since she had the same symptoms as my dad but she was more worried about me.
After taking a private test the results came and my mother came out positive and me negative. My mother was admitted in the same hospital as my dad and we were a little bit releived that at least I was negative or that was what we thought. A few days after my mom I started losing my sense of smell and taste. When we asked our doctor he told it could be mild infection and asked me to stay at home and if I get any symptoms of fever or cold he would give medication. Finally my parents were discharged and they were home quarantine for one week. Till then I had to take care of my parents and my baby alone since the doctor told no one should stay with us since all were covid positive. After ten days everything was returned to normal but it took me more than two weeks to get my sense of smell and taste back. Having to see your entire family suffer for three months drained us emotionally and physically. Now we all have recovered completely but that doesn't mean we are immune to the virus. The doctor told we are prone to the attack anytime so we have to be alert always.
So everyone please be safe and don't take this very easily as a normal fever and take immediate action. Please wear mask and wash your hands and legs before entering your home and sanitize well. That is the only way you can be safe from the virus.

The Secret to Beautiful Selfies with Your Kids
Selfies have become a popular means of self-expression in various set ups, moods and backgrounds. They also do wonders for interpersonal bonding when precious moments with the family are captured in print. Learn how to click perfect selfies with your kids and add onto the family treasure of memories.
In today's world of gadgets and mobiles, selfies have become a delightful way to document the best moments in our lives. As mums, our choicest moments are often with our children and there's nothing more enjoyable than capturing special times spent with the little ones. Knowing the secrets to wonderful selfies can help you get it just right.
Kid-Selfie Tips for the Photographer in You
1. Check the Background
Make sure you have proper light – not too bright, not too dark—for this is the one hack that can make or ruin your picture. Also keep the background clear of intruders in the frame.
2. Choose Beautiful Backdrops
Kids love outing and picnicking. Select a beautiful yet fun spot for your backdrop to ensure the pictures come bright and happy. Don't hesitate from using filters and editing apps to adjust minor flaws in your selfies.
3. Take Care of your Arms
When you take selfies with your kids, your arms may pop up where you absolutely don't want them to! Try being close to the camera to could avoid bringing your arm in the picture.
4. Utilize HDR in your Smart Phone Camera
High Dynamic Range or HDR in your smart phone camera can help make your selfies with kids even more awesome to look at.
5. Choose Something Different to do Every Time
Experiment with your child's dressing, the background, the mood and the light. Also make sure you never miss out on clicking loads of selfies on special occasions like birthdays for this is when your child is at his merriest.
6. Take Different Snaps at Different Angles
Let the moods, perspectives and angles be different in every picture you click. This brings variety to your collection while also making the experience more enjoyable.
7. Relax and Make it Pleasant
Clicking family selfies is a jolly and relaxing time. Do not thrust selfies upon kids. If you have a camera-shy child, talk to him about why clicking pictures is cool and allow him to see how cute he looks in some of the finished photographs.
8. Cozy up with your Kids
What is a better time to cuddle up with the little ones than when you're storing it for life? Closing in on one another also makes sure the frame doesn't chop off parts of you from the picture!
9. Keep Clicking
Don’t stop at just one selfie but click in bunches. Some of your pictures may turn out to be under or over exposed. Taking loads of snaps ensures you can pick and enlarge the best one for your living room.
10. Allow Kids to Take Selfies
It might be a good idea to occasionally let your child click selfies with you or the rest of the family. This fuels his curiosity and creative expression while also bringing him closer to you.
11. Do Not Try to be Perfect in Shooting
It will be difficult to achieve the right exposure, lighting and focus in every picture you shoot. Try focusing more on the fun and the moment, especially if your kid is young.
Children can be a great source of photographic bliss and offer you playful moods, fun expressions and little achievements every day. Keep your camera or smart phone by your side to keep pace with the best moments and ensure you have a rich collection of pictures to share with your loved ones. While you're at it though, it will be good to ensure a balance and record some moments only in your minds in order to keep your little one from narcissism! Read more

Multitasking Mommy - How to make a balance between being a mommy & a wife at the same time
Motherhood is so different experience for everyone, it's a glorious life force. It's really important to make a balance between being a mommy & a wife at the same time, sometimes we just focus on our kid & forget our husband. After becoming a mommy my 1st agenda was maintaining a schedule so I can enjoy some time with my husband as well & I never divert the schedule, I organizes some of the activities on daily basis where my husband, my kid & myself is involved like playing, crafting, colouring, cooking and so on. My son is 3 years old now and I always take his help in kitchen so he will learn things from his childhood. Having kid is the responsibility of rearing a good, ethical, kind, responsible human being; this is the biggest job anyone can embark on.
We always help each others, like we help our kid to learn new things, we also teach him to do household chores in a fun way. I believe the choice to become a mother is the choice to become one of the greatest Spiritual teacher.
Me time is also very important in one's growth, so we try to give some me time to each other. It's even important for a kid as well, it enhance child's imagination & creativity and keep us all positive. Me & my husband avoids fighting in front of our kid, we often discuss about our grievances when my son is not around. In case of any fault, we always apologise to each other so my kid also learns these things.
I take some time for myself also, atleast once in a month I go out, leave my baby with my husband, which gives them quality time to spend with each other, at the same time it gives me a holiday from mommy duties & wifey duties. To practice these kind of things will make a awesome bond. Read more
